Great Video, most of my building hang in mid air, only thing touching the ground is stairs. the foundations are just not up to snuff, they don't snap to anything but themselves Even stairs are too long most of the time going from one floor to the rest. I do use foundation grid sometimes on outside of buildings if I have to cross a gap or a stream.
I'm not 100% sure, but it looks like your odd snapping issue is caused by the Portal Generator platform. I have a nightmare of a time trying to make the Extraction Platform snap to my launch/portal area on Wednesday's video, and I'm beginning to think the problem stems from some of these platforms being just a bit off. The other problem is that snapped stairs and ramps are NOT exactly 1 block tall. The building is frankly quite a mess at the moment.
A couple Foundation Grid building tips I can recommend: 1) Build from the ground up, starting at the lowest level you want Foundation Grids at. 2) Snap big buildings with grids last. Never build grids snapped to a Launch Platform (for example), snap the Launch platform to already built grids. 3) build stairs/ramps on scaffolding grids. Build a setup of only Foundation Grids 1st, like stairs for a giant, then try and fit the ramps or stairs in. (stairs are bad for this still... not sure how to make them work TBH) I might cover these on Saturday briefly while I rant about how long it took me, lol

I think it's pretty clear (should be to you) that this is not a primary build. I'm not building from the ground up I'm adding to the base. I am going to take out the portal and retry the front porch to see if I can make that work better tho. :)
@@kjpcgaming9296 oh ya, this base is fine as is even, I wouldn't suggest starting all over. These are just in general tips for future building that I've noticed of the... foibles(?) of the foundation grids. :)
@@seriousleesgaming3042 The portal especially because the portal wasn't built or designed with the original build parts and it's a different size, I honestly don't even remember what I was going to do after tomorrow's episode, hahaa I don't even rember tomorrow's episode. Holy cow I'm getting bad.
@@kjpcgaming9296 I recorded two episodes in a row on the weekend, then went to upload the 1st and had to watch it to tag and describe it. It's gotta be in the water.
