Great reaction, thank you. Dimash started training at the age of 5 and holds degree in classical and contemporary singing. He is currently studying for his masters in composition. When his voice 'changed' he didn't lose his soprano voice he just aquired a deep range. He declined an opportunity for a role in an Opera company as he wanted to explore his vocal range. He calls his style neo classic. His whistle register doesn't kick in till E7 and his range is C2 - D8. Looking forward to more Dimash reactions,

Dimash's voice is like a finely tuned instrument. He posses multiple voice types :bass, baritone, tenor, countertenor and soprano. His vocal pallette is almost unheard for a male singer. His vocal range is 6 octaves ( from F2 - D8 ) recently. His whistle register goes up to G#7 before China Singing Competition, but on the 16 September, he broke his personal highest note with a whistle register, D8 at Gakku Music Festival Almaty, Kazakhstan. The D8 note (4500-4800hz) which is 6 keys higher than G#7 and 2 keys surpassed the 88 piano C8. The whistle (C8-D8) with vibrato (5 sec).

Good reaction, I know a lot of singers with a wide range, but they all sound unsatisfactory throughout the whole range, but Dimash is amazing and he really has a wide working range, and his range is one of the most advanced among all, he is definitely the best singer in the world.

Dimash was only 22 at the time of the Singer. Hard to believe he has improved so much more. I very much enjoyed your insights and reaction. Thank you for sharing your thoughts with us. He does many types of singing though his ballads are amazing. During the Singer he really only spoke Kazakh and Russian. He is really working hard on English and Mandarin currently. He truly is getting much better with English. In the Singer his English wasn’t great but I really didn’t mind the mistakes as it didn’t take away from his performances for me. 😊

Awesome reaction! This performance made Dimash an overnight sensation in China and the rest of the world soon caught on. Dimash was chosen as a wildcard for Singer 2017, and since he was unknown at the time, he performed first. The more popular singers sang later. Imagine their surprise once Dimash started singing! You have barely scratched the surface of what he is capable of. I suggest following his performances in order, so you can see how much he has progressed over the last 2 years. It's quite a journey!!!

He sang Lionel Richie’s Hello, which you may want to react to, as of course it totally transmutated into something different!!! There’s a clip of Jessie J backstage reacting to him... You said something about whoever followed Dimash after SOS...! Actually Dimash appeared first on the roster that evening, which was the first episode, and Tia came right after. The performers were slated according to popularity polls, the least expected one first. Since Dimash was a total unknown in China, he got placed as the first contestant. He scored first place that night, with a yet unbroken record number of votes. Overnight, literally overnight, his Weibo account catapulted from a mere thousand or so to over 2.4 million followers! The rest is history. You missed his London concert which was last November. He will be holding a concert in his native Kazakhstan on June 29 in Nur-Sultan. I really loved your analysis of Dimash's techniques/vocal styles/etc. This was one of my favorite reactions of him! Thanks you very much! Some interesting info: In choir at school, while Dimash would sing the male parts, he would occasionally sing with the sopranos as needed. He was enrolled at a professional music school and began classical training at age 5 - although he was since trained in other genres/styles of music as well. His range varies... the lowest note is up for debate (I think its D2 but I've seen other answers), and the highest recorded note is D8. Reactions: I think there are three songs that would show off more of Dimash's techniques (I recommend using subtitles): "Love is Like a Dream" by Dimash (most recommended) "Daybreak" by Dimash @ Bastau concert "Sinful Passion" by Dimash

Dimash uses a lot of vocal styles including opera. He was trained as a young boy as a male and female. You really should hear Diva Dance by Dimash or Unforgettable Day Gakku performance where he hits a live D8 for four seconds. If you want to try somebody else please try Brendon Urie’s best live vocals.

He was only 22 here...2017 Singer. His first appearance. The Chinese had no idea! Lol. Him with his 6 octave range. This was the first time I heard him sing...SOS and fell in love! He as wonderful person as a singer. His other is an opera singer and his dad sings as well. He had perfect pitch at the age of 5! He’s such a performer! Great reaction! Of all the Dimash I have watched, from his covers to originals, my favorite places for him, sonically, are his deeper bass/baritones, and when he does a very brassy masked sound. The second is so unique, especially among classically trained singers. That he can do it, and look so relaxed as if he were reading a book, is incredible and humbling.

You are right, Dimash was a bit nervous at first. He was invited as a wild card competitor (from Kazakhstan), spoke Kazakh & Russian but no Chinese, was youngest competitor (age 22 in 2017), & had to sing 1st. They all clapped because the new season had begun, and as encouragement, but no one knew anything about him. Thank you for discovering Dimash. Btw, Jessie J was invited for Singer 2018.
Gosh, I LOVE watching vocal coaches listening to Dimash. I have seen them cry, swear in astonishment, put down their headphones and walk out of the room. Your analysis was terrific! The lead guitarist in the rock band made a comment during the competition that, “It’s always stressful to follow Dimash.”

Dimash Kudaibergen is from Kazakhstan and aged 25. Dimash's voice is like a finely tuned instrument. He posses multiple voice types :bass, baritone, tenor, countertenor and soprano. His vocal pallette is almost unheard for a male singer. His vocal range is 6 octaves ( from F2 - D8 ) recently. His whistle register goes up to G#7 before China Singing Competition, but on the 16 September, he broke his personal highest note with a whistle register, D8 at Gakku Music Festival Almaty, Kazakhstan. The D8 note (4500-4800hz) which is 6 keys higher than G#7 and 2 keys surpassed the 88 piano C8. The whistle (C8-D8) with vibrato (5 sec).

Good reaction, I know a lot of singers with a wide range, but they all sound unsatisfactory throughout the whole range, but Dimash is amazing and he really has a wide working range, and his range is one of the most advanced among all, he is definitely the best singer in the world.

Dimash was only 22 at the time of the Singer. Hard to believe he has improved so much more. I very much enjoyed your insights and reaction. Thank you for sharing your thoughts with us. He does many types of singing though his ballads are amazing. During the Singer he really only spoke Kazakh and Russian. He is really working hard on English and Mandarin currently. He truly is getting much better with English. In the Singer his English wasn’t great but I really didn’t mind the mistakes as it didn’t take away from his performances for me. 😊

Awesome reaction! This performance made Dimash an overnight sensation in China and the rest of the world soon caught on. Dimash was chosen as a wildcard for Singer 2017, and since he was unknown at the time, he performed first. The more popular singers sang later. Imagine their surprise once Dimash started singing! You have barely scratched the surface of what he is capable of. I suggest following his performances in order, so you can see how much he has progressed over the last 2 years. It's quite a journey!!!

You said something about whoever followed Dimash after SOS...! Actually Dimash appeared first on the roster that evening, which was the first episode, and Tia came right after. The performers were slated according to popularity polls, the least expected one first. Since Dimash was a total unknown in China, he got placed as the first contestant. He scored first place that night, with a yet unbroken record number of votes. Overnight, literally overnight, his Weibo account catapulted from a mere thousand or so to over 2.4 million followers! The rest is history. You missed his London concert which was last November. He will be holding a concert in his native Kazakhstan on June 29 in Nur-Sultan.
And by the way, SOS is but a sampler portfolio of his singing skills. He not only has a 6-octave range (watch his Unforgettable Day at the Gakku concert for his epic D8), but also sings a variety of genres (watch his Screaming at Idol Hits for pop style mixed with three cultural elements and one modern one). I really loved your analysis of Dimash's techniques/vocal styles/etc. This was one of my favorite reactions of him! Thanks you very much!
Some interesting info: In choir at school, while Dimash would sing the male parts, he would occasionally sing with the sopranos as needed. He was enrolled at a professional music school and began classical training at age 5 - although he was since trained in other genres/styles of music as well. His range varies... the lowest note is up for debate (I think its D2 but I've seen other answers), and the highest recorded note is D8.
Reactions: I think there are three songs that would show off more of Dimash's techniques (I recommend using subtitles):
"Love is Like a Dream" by Dimash (most recommended)
"Daybreak" by Dimash @ Bastau concert
"Sinful Passion" by Dimash

Dimash uses a lot of vocal styles including opera. He was trained as a young boy as a male and female. You really should hear Diva Dance by Dimash or Unforgettable Day Gakku performance where he hits a live D8 for four seconds. If you want to try somebody else please try Brendon Urie’s best live vocals.
Great reaction! I subscribed. Welcome to Dimash -believe it or not, this is just a taste of what he can do. he was 22 when he did this performance, now he's just turned 25. Sings in 9 languages (maybe more), plays multiple instruments. His top note is a sustained D8 whistle. Bottom note A2.
Would like to point out that his lowest is so far C2 (5 notes lower than A2). ❤️

He was only 22 here...2017 Singer. His first appearance. The Chinese had no idea! Lol. Him with his 6 octave range. This was the first time I heard him sing...SOS and fell in love! He as wonderful person as a singer. His other is an opera singer and his dad sings as well. He had perfect pitch at the age of 5! He’s such a performer! Great reaction! Absolutely classically trained. Please continue with Dimash!!! You might continue with the second singer episode with Opera2 in Russian. Lol..then continue on. Every appearance is so different. Of all the Dimash I have watched, from his covers to originals, my favorite places for him, sonically, are his deeper bass/baritones, and when he does a very brassy masked sound. The second is so unique, especially among classically trained singers. That he can do it, and look so relaxed as if he were reading a book, is incredible and humbling.

He was invited as a wild card competitor (from Kazakhstan), spoke Kazakh & Russian but no Chinese, was youngest competitor (age 22 in 2017), & had to sing 1st. They all clapped because the new season had begun, and as encouragement, but no one knew anything about him. Thank you for discovering Dimash. Btw, Jessie J was invited for Singer 2018.
