- Prison staff in France are protesting the day after two officers were killed by armed men in the country's north. The deaths occurred during an ambush on a prisoner transport convoy, with a van being rammed head-on by a stolen car and an inmate being freed in the process.

What you wanting to be protesting is the immigration, because it wasn't French nationals that committed the crime.
Imagine the French complaining about immigrants. Stop invading and interfering in other countries, you won't get these immigrants.

Anyone with a ounce of understanding of the French will understand they would strike and protest if a croissant didn't have enough bounce to it. They are EU federal citizens living in a EU federal state under EU federal Immigration policy's and quotas. Why protest in France ? It's Brussels that is in control.

Sad about your colleagues who died and were injured 🙏. Why did the prison service not have an advance and trailing heavily armed escort? How did the criminals know when and where the transfer will take place? Please investigate yourselves.
Because the "heavily armed and trained" prison escort are only for "high" criminels profile.
The problems is nobody knew that thr guy was so important...
Because the prisoners knew he was going to the judge, and in france prison every body have phone, european legislation forvid to "body hole search"... you know human right etc
