We've just reached our first milestone of 1000 subscribers! Thank you all so much for watching us and supporting our channel! Tonight you'll have to live with the elephants as we'll be taking the donkeys out to celebrate, cheers! 🍾🎉😍❤
Well done guys!!! To many more going forward!!!! 🫶🥳 and I loveeeee this painting!!!😍😍
You can take a road trip in Texas for 11 hours and still be in Texas.
@@jdm1066 OMG! The scale of things is definitely something we'll need to look into properly. 😃
"surely they don't have that much traffic"...never underestimate British people's lack of understanding of how Texas operates. 😂
Nobody understands how Texas operates. Even Texans.
They built a new one in Tennessee that is now the biggest but Texas is coming back by building an even bigger one.
Let the competition begin! 😆
@@AliKaiProjectTo be clear, they're just competing with themselves. The one in Texas is a Buc-ees as well.
Texas ain’t havin it 😈lol
@@pacmon5285Lol! Right. It’s all Bucees 😂. I live relatively close to the one they’re building in Texas. Was happy to get it back, but they really are just competing with themselves
As much as I love Jolly, they really didn't explore Buc-ees. I'd suggest you watch another video where you can see the food they're famous for. There's actually a video of a couple who spends 24 hours there.
Also, Buc-ees is in about 10 different states but originated in Texas.
I'm really enjoying getting to know you two. Keep it up!
yeah buccees sells fresh made BBQ during the day, its just they went at night when many of the fresh food options are closed for the day.
Yes the BBQ is the best
They have the traffic to justify their size
Buc-ees is based in Texas. The first unusual thing is they allow no tractor trailer traffic, no big rigs. They are incredibly clean, efficient and their products are of the highest quality.
We had heard of Buc-ees but don't have any in Pennsylvania. While doing the three day drive to see our son in Austin, Texas...We stopped one exit away from the Tennessee Buc-ees. The biggest, at that time. We made a point of stopping for petrol and some munchies the following morning. We were so impressed, we sought out Buc-ees for every stop till we reached Austin.
My wife tried the Bar B Que brisket sandwich. Incredible!!! The brisket is made fresh in store and each time they pull a new slab out....The crew yells "Fresh brisket on the board". You can watch them shred the meat and make fresh sandwiches.
The drink/soda station must have 100 or more taps. We tried teriyaki beef jerky, really nice!
Spotless, huge restrooms.
4 cashiers meant no waiting in line. In and out, on your way.
BTW...When we left Austin for the Grand Canyon....Two days driving to get out of Texas and no Buc-ees in the western parts of Texas? Total trip 6,100 miles/9,800 kilometers.
I'm surprised that they don't allow any big vehicles in there but based on the comments, it would seem they have plenty of custom without them.
@@AliKaiProject Recreational vehicles, boat trailers, campers all ok. Just the big over the road rigs. Amazing, but normal truck stops spring up near Buc-ees. Can often see the drivers walking to Buc-ees for a bite. The food is that good!
To explain why Buc-ee's is so large is to explain marketing. And I don't think any of us want that. LOL!! Basically if you have a Bucs at mile marker 0 on the interstate & the next one at mile 200, they can suck up a lot of business on the interstate for a few hundred miles. Why stop at a place with expensive gas, filthy bathrooms, and awful food when that bill board says 'Buc-ees only 76 miles ahead'? But they need a supersized facility to handle all the traffic. Most are in Texas but probably not for long. Houston & New Orleans are right down the road (4 or 5 hours). Plus you get a road trip over one of America's largest swamps. That would be an added bonus to the trip.
Buc-ee's is the Biggest gas station/convenience store in the world. They're new location in Tennessee has 120 gas pumps and is over 74 thousand square feet in size. The biggest Buc-ee's once was in Texas until recently. To get there title back they are now increasing the size of one of their building (in Texas) to be bigger than the one in Tennessee.😊
Love the competition, bring it on! 🤗
That is so Texas❤
They also hold the world's record for the longest carwash at 255 ft.(77.72 m) long...
😱😱
Which one has that car wash?
@@michaelcole1329 The one in Katy, Texas...
They have a lotta pumps because they're all next to huge highways.
Buc-ee's has 48 active locations across Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Missouri, South Carolina, Tennessee (the largest location but not for long), Colorado, and Texas(home of the original Buc-ee's and the most locations). In January 2024, the company announced the opening of its first location in North Carolina. Each location includes 80 to 120 gas pumps, a bakery, a brisket and fudge bar, a snack aisle, soda, coffee, and Icee station, souvenirs and general merchandise which are solely Buc-ee's branded.
Check out the videos from The Brits Try, Shaun, Kara and Nate (they eat food for 24 hours at Buc-ee's).
Amazing! And thank you, we’ll check them out!
@@AliKaiProject you're welcome!
Hi this is Karen in tmTennessee. The reason they chose the Sevierville Tennessee location is because it is adjacent to the Great Smoky Mountains National park. That Park sits between Tennessee and North Carolina and it is the most visited of all the national parks. It might not get as much attention on RUclips as Yellowstone or Grand canyon but Americans love to visit the Smokies.. Gatlinburg and Sevierville Tennessee are great places to stay nearby.
The natural beauty of the Appalachian Mountains is different than the rugged Rocky Mountains but it has a beauty of its own. It's about a 4 and a half hour drive from my home in Nashville, in the middle of the stater. I try to get there several times a year. I just feel at peace there.
Also most of my mother's family is from that area. Her earliest ancestors cane from Scotland and Ireland to settle in the Appalachian Mountains in the late 1800s.
I love to rent a cabin on the side of one of the mountains with viiews across the mountain range that seems to go on forever.
By cabin I mean two-stories, five bedrooms, four bathrooms, fully loaded kitchen, recreation room with arcade games, and a balcony with a hot tub lol. We do family or friend groups so there's usually four or five different groups of people staying so we split the cost..
Because we can!
Buc-ees is a Texas treasure. Tennessee better chill.😁🤠🇺🇸
The US is huge. There are also lots of people traveling long distances. Buc-ees has a lot of people passing through the state, so it is a thriving business.
My fiancé and I drove an hour to visit the Bucee’s they just built in Colorado!
Yes. There are multiple Buc-ees in several States. It's a chain. Already looking forward to YOUR youtube video!
I didn’t even realise it was a chain until the comments, even more opportunity to visit one! 😊
The one in Sevierville Tn is 74,000sq feet.
The one that they will be building here in Ocala Fla will be 80,000sq feet.
And the newest to Texas will beat them all!
Disappointed they didn't try the BBQ brisket sandwich. They pile on the meat in the bun
Evidently British me really love a good sausage
They are building a Buc-ee's in Glendale, Arizona.
I thought Avondale Glendale getting the Barbie, hot wheels amusement park by the football stadium ( ufo in the desert) heheh ????
Goodyear not Glendale my friend. Either way I'm going.
You need to understand that we’re a country of road trips. Sometimes long road trips. Buckees is a must stop for food when you’re passing through. Locals love it too.
It is original to Texas, but it's growing out There is one In Mississippi and in Tennessee
Yes, they have that much traffic. I was there at 1 in the morning last night and I had to wait for a pump to open up.
Buc- ees is all through out the USA so when you come you wont miss them 🎉🎉
Buc-cees is located off major highways with millions of traverlers.
Buc-ees is all over the southern states now but at one point it was a Texas only gas station.
At the time that they visited this B Buceess in Texas, it was the largest in the world, recently, they opened a larger store in Tennessee
Ah cool, thanks for the info. Seems like Buc-ees are expanding rapidly!
This is Buc-ee's location located in Texas. It is about 15 miles away from my front door. I go by all the time for gas as they have some of the best gas prices in town. They also have 120 gas pumps, yes they can get crowded but you never really have to wait.
The Store is always busy but they have about 65 - 100 employees working at any one time so it is very well organized chaos. It is an incredible place and a must-not-miss stop when visiting. It is not a place to go for your regular groceries but is ideal for Buc-ee's branded special items and food when traveling.
An interesting fact is that they are a gas station and not a truck stop, big rigs are not allowed to park in the lot. The parking lot has about 1000 parking spaces but no big rigs are allowed. Also, they have amazing food but are not a restaurant, they have no seating inside or out. You purchase your food and eat in your car! I LOVE IT!
They have some of the best Barbeque brisket sandwiches you can find anywhere!
We do have that much traffic. Most Bucs are located off the highway. They originated in Texas but have scaled out to other States.
Oh, they fill all the pumps
Buc-ees originated in Texas--not Tennessee (no offense to the Volunteer State), and it wasn't until a few years ago Buc-ees expanded beyond Texas. Buc-ees is, and will always be, a part of Texas.
2:22
Buc-ee's does carry other brands, though, a lot of what they sell is their own brand made in-house
I know bucees are in Texas, Tennessee and Georgia. They are starting to build them like crazy
Buc-ee's is a chain. They are mostly located in Texas, but they are currently expanding to other locations in the South. They didn't even try the barbecue brisket sandwiches.
I dropped by a Texas one and it had a wonderful BBQ beef sandwich and a incredibly tasty Burrito as well.
This is America and we go big at all times. There are thousands of cars passing every Buc-ees every hour. I will bet they make more money off the stuff than the gas. An extra large Coke costs just 89 cents in Texas. There is another YT video by others who stayed there for a day and ate all three meals at Bucc-ees and they spent only $51 USD for two people. I think the channel is Kara and Nat.
Interesting, we'll take a look. Seems like Buc-ees has a lot more to offer than what we've seen in this video. ☺
Oh my your just learning ! Its so nice to see the beggening of a journey into America 😂 I hope you enjoy and come visit us when the money comes in 🙏 ❤🎉 from Nebraska USA 🎉
America is lovely, I loved my previous trips and can't wait to come back. It'll be great for Alice to experience it for the first time and after diving into more of what America has to offer, we can't wait to begin our food journey. Of course, we'll be making an effort to visit some of the wonderful places people have been recommending to us. 😍
The toilets are very clean and spacious
12:14
"These Are In Texas?"
They'd started in Texas and there's quite a few in other states as well, there's 4 locations in my home state of Alabama
I don't know which Bu-cees they're at, but wherever they are, when they did ''Lady and the Tramp'' on that beaver tail, people were staring at them! Lol! Believe it!
Luna is beautiful. I love cats. Thanks for your reaction, i enjoyed it. They are currently building a Buc-ee's near to where i live, i can't wait to go see it when it's open.
Thanks for watching! Lucky, you won't have to travel far to see the wonders of Buc-ee's.
This was in Texas
Kitteh! Understandable you were distracted. She's beautiful and sweet.
There are Buc Ees in 7 states
They vary a little in size but to give you an idea, the last one I went to had 110 fuel pumps and the store is like a HUGE grocery store that also has some home decor bric-a-brac and tshirts and whatnot.
awww the baby is so cute.. we have 4 indoor and 5 outdoor cats..
Buc-ees is predominantly in Texas, as for why there are so many pumps, it's important to remember everyone drives here. We don't have public transport and most of our cities are not walkable. Everyone has a car, most families have multiple cars, and everyone needs gasoline. At smaller gas stations with 4-6 pumps it is not uncommon to have a line of cars waiting for an open pump to get gasoline. That said, Buc-ees took it to an extreme on purpose and they are almost exclusively on the side of major freeways where there is a high concentration of traffic and a low concentration of competition gas stations.
What a beautiful cat! So, this is a bit of a disappointment from Jolly since they didn't show you even half of what was inside and outside. Bucc-ee's started in Texas but is spreading to other states. The largest has 120 pumps, the smallest 80 pumps. Yes, the pump stations do fill up because the stores are strategically placed along heavily trafficked highways and America is the land of cars and trucks, so there is no shortage of customers needing fuel. It's why we don't have a well developed public transit system, we LOVE our cars and it goes along with our cultural individualism as well. Jolly picked the worst possible flavor of jerky! Americans love jerky but there are far better flavors to select from.
Sounds like we may have to look into another video on Buc-ees to fully appreciate what they have to offer. As for the jerky, it's definitely not my flavour of choice! 😄
There's 120 pump. There's a couple small Buc-ees, but most of them are huuuuuuuge.
They originate out of Texas. They're all over the southeast. They're building one in Ohio, and I'm sure other states outside the southeast. Are they always busy? No. But during peak hours, they're busy as hell.
There are other Brits that have done videos inside Buc-ee's, check them out whenever you can. 😉
First Impression of Charleston, South Carolina, by Shaun. He is British RUclipsr, and he travels the US. The video is 11:58 long. Thanks and continue the good work.
They began in Texas, but have spread across the entire Southeast US.
Y'all, here in Texas, Buc-ee's isn't a gas station; it's part of our state religion. Seriously, find me a Texan that won't begin a conversation about it by praising the bathrooms.
We did hear that it had quite the following. 😄
😂😂 New Orleans is a city, in Louisiana the state, which is directly east of the state of Texas. Took a while, but y’all got there, lol
😆
The one in Tennessee is close to Great Smoky Mountains National Park the most visited national park in the US. Over 14milllion people a year. Also Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge/Sevierville are touristy towns all right there
You usually have to wait in line to get gas. Super busy any time of the day.
Luna is beautiful. They have alot better food then what they showed.
The best thing about Buccee's are the restrooms. They are super clean. Also, the 120 pumps can get packed during the day. It is also a Texas brand. There are many stations mainly in Texas.
Considering the sheer size and traffic that must pass through it's incredible that the toilets are kept so clean, the cleaner must have a full time job keeping up! 😮120 pumps is crazy though, our average fuelling stations have maybe 6 pumps with the bigger services on highways having maybe 20.
Love the elephants but I will miss the donkeys with their Josh and Ollie’s surprised look in their eyes. I very much enjoy when you stop and discuss what you are seeing. 👍
Don't worry, the donkeys will strike back. 🤓 Thank you for watching!
Tennessee has some Bucee’s too. They originated in Texas.
Buc-ee's originated in Texas and has branched out to other states. Yes, there is a lot of gas pumps but they do stay busy. We love our Buc-ee's!!! Enjoy watching your channel. 😊
Thanks for watching! We've heard that it has quite the following and after watching we can see why. 😃
They're in Texas
Just for reference, it takes more than 24 hours to drive across Texas and it’s extremely convenient to be able to buy all this shiz while getting gas.
Also, they are known for the cleanest bathrooms and they live up to the hype. The bathrooms are cleaner than anyone else’s bathroom that I know, including my own (and I clean mine like an OCD meth head).
Kolaches are actually from our very appreciated Czech immigrants that helped settle Texas. We have a lot of Czech and German settlers in our history. Kolaches are actually Kloblaskis but that’s been lost in translation for a while now.
Wow! Over 24 hours?! The sheer scale is mind blowing! ..I had no idea. 🤷♂️ Then it definitely makes sense that Bucees would be a welcomed sight with all the top class facilities. 👌😍
@@AliKaiProject It’s 12 -15 hrs. I don’t know why I said 24, typing too fast. Still a long time. Thanks for the show!
They just approved to build a buccees in Phoenix Arizona area. I can't wait for it to open 🔥 🔥
Many do get filled up because they park at the pump...go in to buy a lot of stuff...them come put to pump gas.
In the US, we don’t ask “why does it need to be that big?” We rather ask “why not be that big?”
Would love to visit one. ;)
From what I have seen in other videos, they didn't get the most popular item, the barbeque sandwiches.
You changed the painting!
Mixing it up a little, it's not the last you'll see of the donkeys we promise. 😍
20:16
Louisiana is the state. New Orleans is a city, New Orleans is on the eastern side of Louisiana, closer to Mississippi
It’s actually the biggest gas station in the world. Ken Domik did a great video showing much more than Jolly and he ate more of the freshly prepared food like brisket sandwich and tacos.
USA knows how to do things BIG. Once you have the title (Largest In The World) then you become a attraction. How many gas stations do you have over there that will bring people from another country just so they can say they have been there?
They have built them throughout the South. In fact, where I live in North Central Florida there going to be building another one but they're waiting for the state to build an off ramp from the interstate early next year. I have been to the one in Daytona Beach an hour away and when I pulled up to to pump it looked like 85% were being used..
You said you would want to see more of what is inside so I looked for a video for you. Jolly did Texas but you thought Tennessee was the largest and it is for now, So here is a video of the new store as it was opening. It has timestamps so you can just click on the tour parts of the store if you like. You can youtube search for -> Buc ees Grand Opening - Crossville Tennessee - Ribbon Cutting Ceremony + Tour + Food Reviews ( I didn't know if it would let me post a direct link) It is 1 year old with a runtime 27 min 24 seconds. The tour part of the video is what I think you were looking for.
Perfect! Thank you so much for your time. ♥
Need to watch other reactions to this place. Cherry jerky was a bad choice in my opinion.
Do you have any recommendations? 😀
@@AliKaiProject Ken Domik did a very thorough day-long visit to Buccee's, although it was a few years ago. But not much has changed, except prices, which applies to every where. KBD Productions.
look in america we have a motto many of them really and one of the best ones is (Go big or go home!) ok... that's all you need to know when you ask why places and things are so big so basically (if you're not gonna bother going all out and doing it real big and real well then you might as well just go home and not even bother) lol hey what can I say we do things big we have big homes big trucks big buc-ees and big states all in one big country! so (we go big or we go home) lol
Not a bad motto to live by! 😁
Didn't watch long enough, you figured it out
We did in the end lol!
Many stores across many states! Mostly in Texas though!
It seems ridiculous from your perspective. But you gotta think. We got more people here, we drive alot more, and theres just more cars in general. So it wouldnt suprise me if most days those gas pumps are all full.
Yeah that's pretty crazy, I assume Buc-ees is cheaper than a typical gas station for fuel?
Beaver Nuggets are puffed corn with a sweet coating. I compare them to Corn Pops cereal only larger.
The guys didn't get one but their chopped bbq sandwiches are awesome.
British guys and large sausages .. shrug
They were badly misled on the jerky, which is a shame, since there are many great flavors they could have tried.
I am not positive they are in the Tennessee Buc-ee's for this. Buc-ee's began in Texas.
I actually really like the cherry maple jerky, but if they were only going to try 1, that isn’t it.
Completely off-topic, but Luna is beautiful!
She definitely knows it and hands out cuddles very sparingly and on her own terms, typical cat. It's her world, we just live in it. 😆
Take the keyboard away from Kai he's making me twitch every time I watch. Lol
I blame the echo! 😁
They are already building another one in Murfreesboro TN that will be the biggest @76,000 square feet.Opening in 2025
We have one in Florida too.
Texas and Tennessee are different states and Buckees is a chain which is located in the vast southern part of the USA
My brain got confuzzled and my google skills were not very precise. We realise that the one in question was indeed in Texas though. :D
Buc-ees is a chain of gas (petrol) stations, there is more than one of them. Most of them are in Texas and the biggest Buc-ees is in Tennessee, even though Buc-ees is making a new gas station in Texas that will be bigger than the Tennessee Buc-ees. I think there is a Buc-ees in Georgia too. These RUclipsr's called Kara and Nate did a reaction video at a Buc-ees and they showed the prices of everything they ate at Buc-ees. By the way, what happened to the 3 donkey's?
We'll have a look into that video as it seems there's lots more to see at Buc-ees than what was covered in this particular video. The donkeys are still around, we're just mixing it up a little.. they'll return don't worry! :)
They started in Texas and now they are starting to build in other states
they got more in other states but not cali
It has a largest gas station. I went to Buckee's here in Texas.😊😊😊
How were the toilets? :)
It's in Texas.
Az is getting a big buc ees this year the first one ever even through we only one state away
They have Buc-ee's in a few other southern states but, they originate from Texas. You should do San Antonio and the River Walk there, and the Dallas-Fort Worth area.
lol New Orleans is in Louisiana
Got there in the end.. 😂
And they didn't tour the toilets. What? Tour the toilets? Maybe the deco masterpiece at Radio City, but Buc-ee's toilets have won awards for the best and cleanest restrooms in the U.S. Also a very large number of facilities, like the gas pumps, and not afflicted by the dreaded U.S. cubical gap problem.
They have been around long enough and have been successful enough that they're moving into the next generation. Buc-ee's on I10 in Luling, Texas was opened in 2003 with a pitiful 35,000 square feet. Buc-ee's Luling 2.0 will open this year with 120 pumps double the staff from 100 to 250, and, at 75,000 square feet, will be 1,000 square feet larger than the current record holder in Tennessee. That's in a town of 6,000. But it's on the only interstate route between Houston and San Antonio.
I love that every part of Buc-ees is a wonder in itself including the toilets. I've never even hard of toilets having awards, that's mind blowing! 🤯
GET THAT WAWA CRAP OUTTA HERE NORTHONERS, BUCCEES ALL THE WAY
Oh dear.. what have we started. 😆
Ohio is getting one now. 10 minutes from me. Yikes.
Wrong video for this station. You should have watched the ones with Office Bloke Daz and the one with Australians go to this station.
Thank you, we'll take a look! :)
I think you are mistaking New Orleans for a state. New Orleans a city located in South Louisiana. Louisiana is the state 😂❤
What happened to the donkeys?
The donkeys are only resting, we promise they’ll be back! ❤️
funny thing is the video shows perhaps 1/10 of the store
We'll need to take a look at another video to see the full range of services available. :D
