I have visited Fuerteventura, Lanzarote, Gomera, Tenerife, Gran Canaria, and La Palma. Recently I spent 3 weeks in Fuerteventura, with a visit to Lanzarote, and agree with most of the observations in this video. My wife and I definitely enjoyed our time in Fuerteventura and the musical nightlife in Corralejo. Nevertheless, having spent considerable time in La Palma, starting in 1972, I would say that La Palma and Gomera are probably the Canary Islands in which one experiences, for the most part, authentic Canarian culture. It is my experience that the other islands have become immersed in "tourist culture". There is Canarian culture in Fuerteventura and Lanzarote, to be sure, but not to the extent it is in La Palma.
Done both and love both but Fuerteventura and Corralejo in particular just ticks every box for us , its such a great vibe , not too full on not too quite
Fuerteventura for me every time. The live music scene is fabulous in Corralejo, the best music bar in the world: Rock Island, especially on Wednesday Harry 😉 , we once spent a week in Playa Blanca, it was nice but I spent most of the week staring over the water wishing I was in Corralejo 😅. Came home 2 days ago and counting down the days to next trip in November. Yes it is "the feel" of Corralejo: having travelled to 5 Canary Islands and a lot Of Europe I have never experienced elsewhere.
Great video lads. I have been to Lanzarote once, enjoyed it but no burning desire to go back, currently in Fuerteventura for 20th+ time. Agree that there is a completely different vibe in Fuerteventura which draws me back, compared to the other major Canary Islands.
Corralejo for me every time. Just returned home and can’t wait to get back. Saw harry singing in Calle Iglesia, would love to have said Hi.. but he never stopped singing and I didn’t want to interrupt.
Been to Lanzarote many times and tried Costa Adeje in Tenerife this year but we keep coming back to Corralejo in Fuerteventura, there's no place like it. We'll be back again next year 😃
Hi guys I was a regular at lanzarote for about 8 yrs but once I discovered fuerteventura and especially corralejo I knew that I had found what I and drone expert stuart calls paradise as it has everything hope to catch you both as usual around October December time for a beer keep well JEFF
Compeletely agree with your video guys. Corralejo and Fuerteventura in general has that vibe, that laid back easy life feel. Lanzarote comes across as a more touristy place to have an active sun holiday.
Great video I totally agree with everything you have said. Fueterventura all the way fir me and when ever we island hop we just can't wait to get back to Fueterventura no matter how late in the evening it is. I always feel that as we land on the plane, we go through a bubble like a mini snow glob minus the snow and its just a special place which is a small kept secret really. Love love love it ❤
Nice Video guys agree Fuerteventura does feel more Spanish and has a unique vibe. Much like Tenerife Las Americas Puerto Del Carmen doesnt visually look Canarian but has some good bars, restaurants and ok beaches. Maybe do a Corralejo v Caleta video ?
Fuerteventura has a laid back relaxing vibe, only found previously in Ibiza & great live music, can't wait to return ✈️🏝️ Lanzarote has lots to see like you say, but then it's been there done that 😎
You should def both go to La Graciosa and video the trip! Take plenty of sun cream as not much shade there. For me Fuerteventura = chilled relaxed vibes, best beaches Lanzarote = activities and adventure
As a Lanzarote lover (in particular PDC), I was ready to get mad at this video but it's a well balanced review. I've been loads of times and love it - it just feels like home. The one thing that puts me off having a holiday in Fuerteventura is the style of the buildings. I'm a big fan of 'A Place in the Sun' and the holiday resorts look quite ugly compared to the lovely Lanzarote style. Also, I am worried if I book a holiday in Fuerteventura I would spend the whole time looking across the sea at Lanzarote! Anyway, we have decided to spend one night there next time and get a feel for it (we love live music so it will be the town with music square). Thanks to @scotsmanintenerife for the intro to Fuerteventura and you Nomad Brothers.
Ahh thanks so much for the well rounded comment! Honestly, it’s definitely worth the visit - if you like live music I’m sure you’ll love it! Check out sunset lounge, rock island bar and music square 👍🏻
Fuerteventura is better if you want quiet and to be more with the locals and Lanzarote + other islands are hotspots and more like Ibiza and alicante in the mainland so depends if your looking for a busy expat Spanish holiday or a quiet island also come Fuerteventura after summer but before christmas for the really quiet period (my fav time of year to go)
There is a special energy in Fuerteventura. Been to Fuerteventura and to Lanzarote and do agree that Fuerteventura feels a bit less turistic and some very local areas still. Corralejo is nice, but I'd say the best in Fuerteventura is for sure to explore with a car and driving along those cost lines with just the mountains and the sea. Nothing can compare to that. Just breathtaking
Good video. I love both islands and think they are both really good for sight-seeing. Playa Blanca is my piece of Paradise just something about the place that I love, like the walk from the lighthouse back into town or in the other direction to Rubicon Marina and Papagayo beaches. Good shops in the old town area and Rubicon and a few good live music venues. Have stayed in a great All inclusive hotel in Caleta de fuste but not a huge lover of the resort. Recently stayed in Corralejo and loved it especially the more varied choice of live music venues which is what really makes our holiday. Both PB and Corralejo have a great choice of restaurants. God willing we will return to both islands as often as possible. Loved seeing you play in Rock Island Harry and spoke to you both nights David, recognised the voice behind me at the bar 😂
I have my second home on Lanzarote and love of course Playa Famara. There are so more beaches here actually such as Playa Blanca, Papagayo, Playa Mucheres and a very instagrammable black beach 😉 But Fuerteventura impressed me a lot as well. I think the difference between all of the canary Island makes them so great 👍🏼
We don't believe it's Harry's way or the highway😅 we agree it was the feel and vibe we got 14 years ago that makes us come back each year to fuerteventura 👍❤️💯
Ive done all the 4 main canaries, for me Corralejo is the nicest, its not just the beaches, it feels clean, even the main strip is nice. Theres no tacky areas to it. Retains alot of authenticity to it. Day trips are better for me in Fuerte. El cottilo lagoons, Grandes Playas, Oasis Park. Many happy memories. Ironically just across the water in Playa Blanca is the only place that i really enjoyed. The beachfront long walk, sitting in a restaurant overlooking the ocean. Definitely 2nd place. But ye Fuerteventura for me all day long. But would happily do playa blanca if need be. Im not a fan of places like Playa Del Ingles, Las Americas, PDC etc. Albeit theyre a lot cleaner and more modernised nowadays, but have a tackier feel.
Nice to see you guys ! So true what you say we are drawn back every year and are planning to live on this fantastic island. Take care boys we will see you in December for a month through to New Year😊
For a holiday it does not matter, as long as there is a beautiful beach, good hotel and good restaurants . But Fuerteventura (Corralejo) and Tenerife (playa de las Americas and Costa Adeje) are my favorites.
got to be fuerteventura for the beaches its easy to visit lanzarote from corralejo just booked flights for month to fuertuventura with easyjet for xmas
Hi @Nomad Brothers hope you’re both alright, the next time I go to Corralejo in April 2024 I’m gonna do a trip over to Lanzarote to see what it’s like because I’ve never been before.
nueve horizonte the hill to the left of caleta de fuste they are trying to grow more green so hopefully over next 5/10 years that area up near the abanonded pool should look better also hopefully they do something with that too (the pool)

Sorry prefer Lanzarote Puerto Calero. Beautiful! Visited Fuerteventura El Cotillo and liked the beaches but was disappointed with the restaurants and food.
Surprised you were disappointed with the food, I genuinely think the restaurant quality here is some of the best. Well, Corralejo rather than El Cotillo. Maybe you had a bad experience. 100% agree Puerto Calero is beautiful 😍
Couldn't agree more about PDC, spent 6/7 years of holidays there (5/6 months a year) and thought this is what the Canaries is like. First visit to Fuerteventura I was amazed, wish I'd done it years ago and from now on it'll be half the year on Fuerteventura 😊
Corralejo probably has more foot fall of tourists because it’s a bigger resort but it’s a bigger mix of nationalities whereas Caleta is predominantly British
got a property near caleta defuste (the airport town) just came back the other week and not heard/had any problems what issues did you hear was it water shortage or contamination? (sometimes La Olivia in the top center it gets dry piping but they seem to be on top of it now a days)
