Good evening my darling NanaRose 😘 ❤️ 💕 it's so lovely to hear from you ❤️, I too have Fibro so my heart ❤️ goes out to you I have always been so proud of my home 🏡 and cleaned every day but then I would be in bed for 3 days until I was given a social worker and she helped me pace myself throughout the day and do a diary with what I could do that day with cleaning my home so I would do what was in my diary for that day and it helped me so much I wasn't getting so tired that I had to go back to bed, and couldn't clean for a few days i still go by my diary to this day yes things are getting harder for me because I have other illness too and being 65 also plays a part in it I'm not that young girl that could clean the house from top to bottom in one morning lol lol,so just a little advice to my friend just give it a little try NanaRose and see how you go, I wish you all the love in the world and please be kind to yourself your health is more important at this time and please give my little plan a go you have nothing to lose, it was lovely seeing you take care and stay safe 😊 all my love 💓 ❤️ 😍 Dawn xxxx
Thank you Dawn. You are always so sweet. I think your plan is something I definitely need to implement. I keep wanting to use the Fly Lady system to spread it all out, but I seem to have a flare, or some project that I do where I fall behind. I’m just trying to teach myself that spending time with those I love is more important than housework. Take care of yourself as well dear. Sending you much love and lots of gentle hugs. ❤️🤗❤️🤗❤️🤗🌹
....the image of you in a pink sweat suit, turban & heels had me roaring!! Please say that the heels were red...😂👠 ...Loved your video...have a great week💖
Thanks, Kim, glad I could bring a smile. Those heels actually were red. I’m telling you, I was an embarrassment to my children. Sometimes they would ask me to drop them off a block or so before the school so no one would see me. It’s like when you go without a bra because you aren’t planning to go anywhere where someone could see you. That’s always when there is car trouble or company drops by.🤣🤣🤣 Thanks for your kind words sweetheart. Sending love and hugs. ❤️🤗❤️
My oldest daughter informed me a month or so ago that she is compiling pictures and videos to share in a loop when they have my final “going away party” (I don’t want a funeral). She has pictures where I have done crazy things to make her smile when she was depressed (like a southern cooking show making bologna sandwiches) where I have a slice of bologna over each breast (over my pajamas), and my grown son in California trying to teach me how to use a bong on a zoom call (I never tried “recreational” drugs as a teen or adult), etc. I was telling my sister about it and she said “You’re not okay with her doing that are you?” I laughed and said that’s exactly the kind of thing I want at my going away party. It’s going to be a hoot, because my children have tons of “mom stories”. 🤣🤣🤣
I'm having a fibro week. It's starting out rough, and I hate the pain pills but I know it'll pass. Look at our beautiful NanaRose, you'll get through this hard time because you're a strong lady.I hope you and your sister feel better and don't stress the dirty dishes. They aren't going anywhere. I loved your video and I love you NanaRose ❤
Oh sweet, Lina, Im sorry you’re having a flare up….but it’s not surprising with all you’ve dealt with the last few weeks. Make sure you take care of yourself dear. We just returned from the doctor and she is referring my sister to a surgeon as things have still not cleared like they should…so our sister-cation is likely to be extended. But that’s okay…she would be there for me if the roles were reversed….and we can have fun doing anything. Thank you for your kind words, sweetheart, you always make me smile ❤️❤️❤️

Hi Nana Rose. I stumbled across your channel this morning looking for Swedish Death Cleaning. I am 50, a grandmother/housewife and my house is a mess. My husband works full-time and provides everything we need so I should be able to keep a clean house. Well… I used to be able to. The last couple of years have been rough. We lost several family members during covid (but not to covid). We lost my last great grandmother, my father and my husband’s grandmother who was our “Nana Rose”. Her name was Rose Marie. 💖 Anyway, that’s not the point. The point is, you have now been adopted as my new Nana Rose. This morning, I cleaned out my nightstand and scrubbed the master bath. I’ve put away a laundry basket full of laundry. The washer is started again. I have not officially started my death cleaning but rather just putting the house back together so I don’t have messes on top of messes. Next up is hitting the guest bedroom. It’s been a week since my mother went back home to Virginia and I have not cleaned the guest bedroom or changed the sheets on that bed. It has to be done today, though… as our 6 year grandson will be here to spend the night and he & Pop sleep in that room when he’s visiting. It’s hard to find inspiration and motivation for keeping house from women my age or someone for me to look up to. Not saying there’s anything wrong with all the thousands of young mom’s posting their housekeeping help on youtube, but I’m past that point in my life. I need to learn to cook for 2 not 4,6,or 8 depending on how many friends my kids drag home with them. It’s just hubby and I now. I need to clean out this house of all the stuff we don’t need, don’t want and don’t use! I need to learn new schedules/routines. We’ve been empty nesters for 5 years now and I still haven’t got this crap figured out. Add to that I packed on the covid-40 and need to lose that plus the extra 40 I was already carrying before the pandemic. I feel like I am behind the 8-ball and lost my pool stick. Please keep posting videos. I need a role model. 💖Sharon
Oh Sharon, thank you for that inspirational comment. I have such difficulty sticking with anything. Your comment is just what I needed. I have some thoughts about a plan to get my house pulled back together without overwhelming me. My granddaughter graduated from high school week before last and I had a house full of company for most of two weeks. I also have not changed the sheets on the guest room beds🤪🤪🤪. We’ll get this figured out. We can do this!!! Sending you love and hugs. NanaRose
@@nanarose3496 When my mom was visiting for the last month, she bought me an Alexa Echo Dot. Hubby wasn’t too happy… he thinks “listening devices” are the devil. LOL anyway, I’m getting the hang of it. I am terrible about remembering I have laundry in the washer, so now… when I put a load in and start it, I say “Alexa set a washer timer for x minutes”… however long the wash time is. That alone has helped me get 5 loads of laundry done in the last 2 days without having to re-wash anything because I forgot about it. I tell Alexa to remind me to get off my bum too! LOL She will say “Sharon, I am reminding you to get off your @$$ and get something done in this house!” LOL Maybe she isn’t supposed to be used this way, but whatever, it’s my Alexa. 🤣🤣 I managed to get BR#2 set to rights with clean sheets and everything. Even cleaned out the dresser and nightstands. BR#3, I had a mattress topper that was taking turns laying on the bed or folded up in the floor for weeks. It’s a full size bed but I bought a queen topper because it was $10 cheaper than the full size. I finally stripped that bed today, too! Trimmed the memory foam topper to fit the full size bed and put a clean set of sheets on that bed! Then I noticed the dehumidifier was a bit smelly. Let me just say… the engineer is a masochist and probably the same engineer that designed the Pap smear swab, because that’s what I needed to clean the crevices in the water holding tank of the dehumidifier. It took me 2 hours to scrub out all those crevices with a bottle brush the size of a toothpick. I despise cleaning that thing but it is necessary to have it! Kitchen dishes finally got done around 4:30pm this afternoon. I found some kitchen dishes to part with and have those listed on our local buy nothing group on facebook. Got rid of 2 lunch boxes and a set of 3 ceramic skillets I loathe. Waiting for people to come pick up the dishes, a table runner with 4 matching napkins and a black comforter left over from when my son lived here.
