Good video
Safest thing to do James, and a good experience definitely. You could hear that cold in your voice mate. No good that meal you want something with flavour and substance, I’ll not be getting any of them. At least you got the drone up I’m always afraid of losing it on the winds. There will always be another camp mate 👍.
Definitely, matey. I notice it when editing . Yea I was in two minds sending the drone up but didn't go too high haha . Was a good experience for a time when maybe my tent fails or something and I have to get off the Mountain quick.
@@jamesoutandaboutn.i227 yea at least you’ll know what to do and how to react now James, got to take the positives out of it 👍
@@GeoffGreenawayOutdoors definitely matey. Was still a good day with some views while it lasted haha
A great camp still but you know when it’s time to go. I have only had to bail from 1 camp before and I know it was time to go home. After all we don’t to enjoy it and to go home safe and that’s exactly what you did.
Cheers matey. Yea some class views while it lasted. With it being early and wind was constant, I wasn't feeling up for a long night, haha . Thanks for watching Mark
Great channel mate, cracking vids….just dropped you a sub. 😉👍
Thanks matey I appreciate that
No problem at all mate, pleasure 👍
@PhilDodsworthOutandAbout I've subscribed back matey. Il check out your videos after work . Atb
Love the Mournes
Definitely matey
@jamesoutandaboutn.i227 tried twice to post about a page about car camping uk, but comment got deleted. It's on a well-known social media platform, mate, you may wanna join the group?
Great to see you out again mate. Shame the wind was strong, would have loved to have seen some class drone shots over the lough.
Cheers matey. Hopefully get out again in the next few weeks
Great to see you had a normal title of this video matey and not something stupid 😂 you live and learn from situations like this but those winds were probs like 20mph or so (maybe get yourself an Skywatch to see what they are). The Soulo pushes in like that if the wind is hitting the big panels. From seeing your tent I would of gone and re tentioned everything up from all the corners to all the guy lines. As most tents do they expand from the moisture in the air. On the power bank front I'd buy a nitecore one as they work in colder temperatures 👍
Yes matey the winds weren't crazy strong but enough for me to get no sleep and wasn't really feeling this camp. Yea I always check the lines to keep tension but winds were blowing into the side so still had bowing. Il check that power bank out matey cheers. Mine might be just done and time for new one . Cheers for watching
Feel your pain mate. Friday I was planning a summit camp on Cove, all looked good on weather forecast until I got to summit. Was blowing wicked and clag was rolling in. I thought, stuff this. Dropped down to Ben Crom reservoir were it was lovely.
Yea mate It wasn't overly windy when I first pitched, but I did set up early haha . Good choice mate . I really like it down on that spot . Great views of Binnian
Oh, FFS…
