    The new age counter striker, instead of waiting for opportunities you move forward and make them. Conor mcgregor, canelo, ngannou, etc are aggressive counter strikers whose best knockouts come off a counter

    • @jurgenmuller3704
      @jurgenmuller3704 5 месяцев назад +7

      its not really a new age. This style of counterstriking always existed. Also counter strikers that fight more defensively and on the outside, also dont just wait for opportunities but create them instead. They just do it differently. I get that aggressive counter striking is more fun to watch for most, but that doesnt make the less aggressive way less skillfull

      @@jurgenmuller3704 It has but its become more popular and lets not act like counter-strikers who fight on the outside are usually fun. Sometimes fighters get stuck “staring at the mirror” at each other even the best like anderson silva have performances where they just stare at each other refusing to lead.

      @@Banished-rx4ol I mean I literally said, that i get that more aggressive figthers are more exiting to watch for most. I could have missed it, but have you tried utilizing/ integrating Bas Ruttens forearm strike/ hook-palms ?
    The way Rutten uses the forearm strike is to cut through a tight guard, compares its power to that of a round house and while I do not recall I'm fairly certain he's ko'd some people in his career wit that shot.
    The palm he lands behind the ear the same way you might a left hook, though he claims the knockdown percentage is higher utilizing the palm. Preserves the knuckles too.
