This is amazing. Thank you. I have managed to get mine to work. I do have one problem through. My automation is triggered by "any property edited". My name property is to sample the date and client name. The client name is a relation. If I use a template where I have selected the client already as a relation, my automation pauses. I am thinking it has something to do with relation. I have the client set in some templates already as I do regular work for them. Do you know is that is causing the problem? When I use a template that has no client relation setup, the automation does not pause.
There are some bugs with automations where they are paused without warning or error if you have an error in your formula or attempt to "do something" with an empty property sometimes. It's a bit "alpha" right now, so I would report the issue to team@makenotion.com.
Indeed, that's the unfortunate reality. Sadly, free plan users don't get access to the full power of automations. You can install templates that use them, but not create your own on the free plan.
Always so good to find someone who thinks like you and shares their process!
Glad to hear that my style is helpful to you, Yetty.
What's more interesting is the automatic "Day Theme" connection. Didn't know we could do that!
Yeah! Neither did I at first. It's a bit cumbersome but works.
Very cool and a great achievable task for those of us who are learning!🙏
@@tonymatthews6928 thanks for watching. feel free to share your solutions with me if you build something fun here.
Very cool indeed! A bit over my head, but I like your thinking about automating.
Thanks for watching and commenting, buddy! Great to see you again!
Have you ever tried moving from Alfred to Raycast? The automation is great as always.
Maybe eventually. I do enjoy the fact that I paid for an Alfred license many years ago and don't have to pay a monthly fee. :)
This is amazing. Thank you.

It looks like you need a paid account for automations in Notion :(
