Becca: after my dog had surgery to remove a cancerous tumor, the vet had me feed her chicken with white rice and plain greek yogurt. The yogurt was to help her tummy handle the meds. She thrived on it. I wonder if it'd help Skye?
Sorry to hear about Skye, My wife used to feed our dogs when they got sick lamb and rice or chicken and rice, they make a set of steps that collapse for dogs, also I bought one of those heaters, they are called a milk barn heater, I got mine at Tractor supply in 2019 it was $19.99 and my sister saw it and she wanted one for under her desk at her work. They work great, the brand on mine is Red Stone, I like it because if it falls over it will turn off. Prayers 🙏🏻 for Skye to get well, and I’ll light a candle 🕯️for her too. 🤠♥️✝️🐾🇺🇸🌲🐿️🥃🌹

A little tech advice. If you kept your failed cabinet style red diesel parking heater you might be able to salvage the fuel pump out of it if that's what failed on your current heater. Also, most of the other working parts are interchangeable.

I`m a new subscriber. I`m a New Englander. I know you`re in this area somewhere. I found you by your video about the Four Wheeler truck camper. I`m thinking about checking them out for my truck. Being a dog lover, I absolutely understand that you have to put Skye first. You can camp anytime. But she is your priority. I pray she gets better.

Fingers crossed that Sky's belly issues will resolve. That aside, she really does seem like she feels good. My boy had an issue were out of nowhere, his belly just went coockoo and chaotic. He had labs after labs done and everything came back normal. He was seeing a dermatologist at the same time. Turns out, she picked up on that he developed a poultry allergy. He's switched to home cooked beef and non-grain diet and things are good again. His skin issues clear right up as well. So I know you'll get to the bottom of things. ☺
Not a joke dish. Velvetta shells and cheese with bacon is a prepackaged thing.
Get a Mr. Buddy propane heater as a backup. They have a single tank and double tank models.

That's a newer heater they designed it to look like the old ones. That's the safest way for heat I use them Everytime I go camping with either a small generator or power hookup if I'm at a place like you are
You are such a great doggy mom. When I had five mastiffs I always had pure pumpkin on hand. It helped with diarrhea and it also helped with constipation. It has to be hundred percent pure pumpkin. High in fiber and vitamins. Dia-gel is amazing for diarrhea also, but with Skye’s treatment you would have to ask her vet if there is any contraindications.
That’s a great heater by the way. They still sell those and they look old/retro, but nt that one. If it was in mold, that would’ve concerned me.

If you add an egg mixed up to the pasta right when it comes out you mix it in and put some olive oil in there with bacon and pepper and parm its soo good 💯

Hey my friend. We used to also add in plain greek yogurt and scrambled eggs to our dogs chicken with rice. It helped their tummies alot. I think it would help your girls too. And damn dinner looked so good. I need to make it ASAP

Hey when you don't have a strainer put a bowl inside of the pot and you can drain the water that way is a backup strainer

Taking a min to regroup and just hang out is necessary and greatly appreciated. Hey Becca! Great video as always. I'm sure you've gotten a million pieces of advice from your viewers, but have you guys tried canned pumpkin for Skye's tummy? It can really help dogs with diarrhea. I've worked with all kinds of dogs for nearly 20 years and it can help. She's such a beautiful pup. If you beat a few eggs with your cheese, cook that in your noodles and bacon, and you'll have creamy carbonara! Easy peasy delicious meal! My pup Nikki loves rolling in the snow too! You did the right thing for your baby. That's always the best decision. Keeping good thoughts for her continuing care. Take good care! 🎣🐾🏳🌈

And she loves you the same. it's obvious in the video. I wish that i could make her cancer go away. I hate cancer i my dad to it 😢. Im praying for your baby and also for you and Lila because it's not easy to deal with it. It can be an emotionalroller-coaster, that's for sure. Just know we love watching the connection between you both, and we look forward to watching every video you post. ❤

Skye is a real trooper fighting everyday enjoying traveling with her mom. Thank God for Ken to helping you out with some heat. OMG you made me so hungry with that pasta dish never thought of putting bacon in it. You will love Tennessee, it has some beautiful country, streams, lakes, ponds, rivers.
I had a diabetic dog that I fed chicken and rice to, made it at home. Rice cooked with chicken broth and I added green beans for fiber it should help her firm up her poop. Check with the vet first.
Love your videos, I wish they could find a camper to fit my 2019 Ranger 5.5 bed.

Just remember it’s the journey not the destination that makes you videos so great. I’ve watch you do all kind of fishing but don’t think I’ve seen fish on the ocean beach. We found some photos of my grandmother fishing on the beach in Westerly. She would fish in morning then cook them for breakfast as my sister says she was on badass!

Plans rarely go right🧟, l learned to start with 'ideas'🤣😂🍺, Skye really a trooper, looks so good. When I make bacon Mac n cheese (or chorizo, smoked sausage ect..) I add agave nectar to salted water, it doesn't get Mac sweet but more like nutty flavor kinda? Save bacon fat for roux smart 👍, You made best if trip you could, Skye enjoyed it and so did we. Utilitech is a solid brand of git-er-done industrial accessories like that heater. Simple and reliable. I feel your pain with the cancelled/postponed trip. I just came back a day and a half early from what was supposed to have been a father-son long weekend with my 14-year-old. Nothing as dramatic as cancer, but I learned a lot that will make the next outing more successful. Thing sometimes take a turn and you make the best of it. It will just make the beach trip that much nicer when it does arrive. Cheers and love the video as always 😊

seaweed in kibble is good for probiotics too
if she has gas too, a little activated charcoal is good in her food or a treat. it is good for the runs too.
The charcoal is great but it could bind on to her chemo and she would lose her treatment and vitamins. Usually spacing out for hours away from those things would be OK, But in her case I wouldn’t risk it.

try a modified (use stainless stove pipe-they don't leak creosote) Guide Gear small wood stove (you will need to fix the door but the stoves are buffo). these stoves will burn for at least six hours and leave plenty of coals. You can try a more expensive stove but this one will heat your truck even at -65F. It burns easily half the night at warmer temperatures. You will have to get up and stoke it but personally I don't mind doing that. Free heat everywhere there are sticks. once you get the hang of a wood stove, they don't quit.

If something gets stuck behind one of your drawers again or just need to take them out for whatever reason I believe those are the kind of tracks that you can just pull and push the black plastic tabs and the whole drawer just comes out, one side you pull up and the other side you push down if i remember right

if you don't trust commercial kibble, you can make your own. there are kibble making machines online and recipes as well. BUT it is important to add dried meat and biscuit to Skye's diet to firm her up. Just remember when you add grains to kibble it tends to add weight to the dog (that's why they took it out of some dog foods).
i’m switching her kibble next week to “open farm” which is one of the only ones I trust based off research. I think she’ll do extremely well on it!!
she lost 5 pounds this month, due to her stomach and going to the bathroom so much so luckily the grain didn’t make her add weight (even though she needs to now add 5lbs back) which is easy she loves food lol

@@beccayaseen if she has the runs you really need to research the psyllium, clay, ground flax medication. it saves lives. even had a human friend take it and she healed an injured intestine. check it with your new vet --- ask them about it ---
