    I didn´t call it a Tutorial. it´s a "Making of"
    Anyway... explaining this would be too hard, and also, Kamiya san wouldnt like it.

    you spent a so much time just to make the INITIAL FOLDS?!! wow, that's gotta be very time consuming, but on the bright side, it looks like a DRAGON!!! truly AWESOME!!!

    Just earlier someone left me a message on my origami medusa video asking me if origami using cut paper and glue is real origami and I said I like combining differeant colored paper and changing the folding steps of origami figures to create my own designs. So one could also ask if pure origami would use foiled paper instead of regular paper! But artists do what they want! Nice upload!

    you may find the book to download, it´s kinda hard thought.
    anyway, I won´t make tutorials for this origami cuz it´s kamiya satoshi´s best origami in the book. I really don´t want to have copyright problems.

    @blackknight3830 It becomes a little thinner than the normal printing paper. I dont know how to explain what kind of tissue paper I use... It has 18gr, but thats all I know.
    The glue I used is a spray glue, its better to make the paper without bumps cuz the paper doesnt get wet.

  • @tadashimori
    @tadashimori  15 лет назад

    the paper has 45 x 45cm, Wrapping paper is not bood to make this origami, you should try using tissue foil and the result is going to be better.

    i checked out the directions to this model and its insane. 254 steps and you need at least a 50x50 sheet. even that's not big enough for a first try. it seriously takes some mad skills just to finish it let alone make it look great.

    whoa, this is like the Edward Scissorhands of Origami! Where's the *slow motion* button! lol. Amazes me how something so amazing can be created with just a few pieces of paper. love it!

    @ichimagik Well, may I answer in English? I can't write in Spanish.
    About the ancient Dragon, if you can make origamis like the Kawasaki rose and the Dragon in flight for example, you're ready to make the ancient dragon. The only problem is that you need to learn about the papers and you must have a lot more patience.

  • @albertqwer16
    @albertqwer16 12 лет назад

    Isn't tissue foil hard to fold with because when you make a mountain fold a valley fold (or vica versa), it's very hard to keep it the same way it was?

  • @johydee1
    @johydee1 13 лет назад

    very cool video. you can see a lot of work goes into the prefolding. one question, do you make your own foil paper? Ive been using florist foil. it's plastic coated on both sides and is very forgiving when you have to unfold and refold something. yours looks like tissue glued to aluminum foil.

    I remember watching this for the first time right after it came out... And seeing nothing to perfect! Now I look back after years and years of folding... My brain sees things differently now. Good job though, I really do like this video for some reason though

    Não entendo de origami, mas sempre achei que origami era a magia de transformar uma folha de papel 2D em objetos 3D. Já vi trabalhos complexos, mas feitos de vários módulos colados (faz-se várias partes separadas e depois sai encaixando). Isso pra mim não é origami (pode até ser, mas pra mim "não vale" rs). Esse seu vídeo, ESSE SIM, mostra um objeto complexo feito de UMA SÓ folha de papel. Perfeito. Muito lindo. Fiquei impressionado, parabéns! (ainda mais que AMO dragões rs). Abração!

    @renatinhomurao eh q o papel alumínio segura bem as dobras, o papel de seda serve, na verdade, apenas pra dar cor no alumínio e disfarçar um pouco os amassados

    kra, acho mto difícil vender um desses. Se fizer em papel de seda, como no vídeo, o origami vai desbotar e depois de um tempo ele fica mto feio.
    Só com o papel, que teria q ser o washi, jah gastaria 20 reais, e fora as horas de trabalho pra preparar o papel e fazer o modelo, que seria cerca de 8~10 horas pra fazer um bem feito, e ainda tem o frete... eu nao cobraria menos de 150 reais por tudo isso, mas as pessoas não pagam tanto por um "pedaço de papel"
