    I love y'alls videos and I'm looking to buy here soon, renting currently. I just had a note for your description of the RTP. It's not just State, Duke, and Chapel Hill. Part of that consortium of research is with the HBCUs in the area, NC Central and Shaw. These are major historic and impactful Universities in the area that also have ties to the "R" in the RTP. :) Excellent schools and excellent opportunities. I loved to hear you give a shout out but I'd love to hear focused information. Thank you for spreading the message!

    I do not know anything about college basketball but based on the names, I’d lean toward UNC over Duke. Not a fan of ‘devils’ 😅

      Haha! You have to an admit there is nothing more intimidating than that. Also, the Carolina mascot is a tar heel- a sticky foot?! lol. All jokes aside, both have great athletic departments!

    Is there an area where a lot of folks from the tech industry tend to relocate to? Thinking specifically those with kids who are taking lot size, schools and culture into consideration before making that leap knowing it will be a huge change?

    • @raleigh-durhamnc
      @raleigh-durhamnc  2 года назад

      Thanks so much for watching! North Durham is going to be more lot size friendly than south Durham or downtown. No matter what part of Durham you live in it's pretty easy to get downtown and enjoy all that it has to offer from a culture standpoint though! Cary and Apex are also very popular for folks relocating into the area with kids. Feel free to reach out if you have any more questions!

      Was born and raised in Durham, work in biotech in RTP before relocating to another state. Morrisville, Holly Springs, Fuquay- Varina are really close to RTP on the Davis Drive side coming into I-55, Brier creek , Sharron Road is another Hot Spot near TW Alexander where there are also houses , towns and luxury Apts too. Page Road in Durham is a hidden nook where there are multiple single family homes being built as well as towns and luxury apartments. There are so many hidden jewels that this couple has yet to cover but I’ll give them a 👍 as they are communicating some great areas. Be careful though because of the gentrification there are growing neighborhoods that they are forcing some incomes out slowly so keep a watchful eye on where you move. Overall it’s one of the best growing cities in America…278,000 people and counting….

    What about the school systems? I have a son with Autism. How would you say the schools are there? And as far as things to do? Is this an uneventful city?

      Thanks so much for watching! I think Durham is an eventful city! If you’re coming from a much larger city you may not agree. We have a video on the school systems in the area, so feel free to check that out!

    • @raleigh-durhamnc
      @raleigh-durhamnc  Год назад +1

      Durham has no more snakes than anywhere else in NC! There are certainly snakes here but I don't think you will have much to worry about!

      @@raleigh-durhamnc thank you for the prompt response! As a person dealing with phobia of snakes, what areas would you recommend for me to move in. I'm moving from Michigan where there are not a lot of snakes so this kind of a deal breaker for me. Also, I meant dealing with snakes moving to NC in general.

    How is the weather down there? Do you guys get a lot of hurricanes or just tropical storms? Does it ever snow there?

    • @raleigh-durhamnc
      @raleigh-durhamnc  2 года назад +5

      I think the weather is great! We get four seasons and the summers are definitely hot and humid. We're far enough inland that we are not too affected by hurricanes. By the time they make it here, which is rare, they are typically a Tropical Storm or Depression! It does snow here, normally once a year or so!

    • @DryEraseBoard
      @DryEraseBoard 2 года назад +1

      Your snow period in the area is normally from Jan 21- March 18 or so if you are lucky to get one good snow. They get more ice/sleet than snow. This past Xmas and thanksgiving I was in flops and shorts so that lets you know how warm it is. Xmas 2021 from Dec 23- Jan 1 was between 72-76 degrees Fahrenheit.
