How the heck did Harden end up being the one bringing the team down because "he wasn't all in", when there's a PART-TIME employee in Brooklyn who already has been a no-show two times before without even telling the boss that he wasn't showing up to work for weeks at a time?
Depends how you look at it Philly are a playoff team without simmons playing (albeit a low one) they gained harden and essentially lost curry and drummond from their rotation The fact nets didn't get either maxey or thybulle means it's a pretty good trade for philly
People are forgetting that the nets gave up Allen, Levert, and a kings ransom of draft picks just to get harden.. Nets aren’t coming out of this as good as people seem to think.
@@TheGhostOfBucketCat they are actually …they were gonna lose him for nothing in the summer …they got a haul considering the situation . when they made the trade for harden , no one could have predicted such chaos with vaccine , kyrie and durability
@@bangladeshirealtor Sure they did well in this deal alone, but it’s still a net negative considering what they gave up just to get harden in the first place. They could have had Levert and Allen on this squad with all those picks they gave up still intact.
@@TheGhostOfBucketCat that’s hindsight , that harden trade made them favorites last season and this season , there were other factors that prevented them from playing together even 20 games . they didn’t give up much …levert has huge durability issues and is one dimensional. Jared Allen was a big loss , bud i don’t think they would have won the title with the team they had . the first round picks weren’t really a factor because they traded back in to get a first rounder in the last draft . and they need to win now while these guys are at the tail end of their primes .
Dense af for these "analyst" to ask how is it going to work? Well sixers replaced their ball handler with another ball handler who can shoot, drive, pass, and you kept thybuls defense. Don't know why people act like harden is a ball hog, when in Mike dantoni's 7 second offense he became a PG and racked up assists. He will be able to do that for the sixers, and help embiid with the scoring. Nets wise you replace your MIA pg with Simmons who can handle, pass, and play elite defense. Plus you surround him with patty mills, Seth curry, Joe Harris, and KD. Pure shooters. The spacing is going to be nutty for Simmons to iso and do what he wants. Lastly you add Drummond to rebound and defend. Both teams came out well. It's going to work amazingly well, and they probably have one of the best match ups vs each other in the playoffs with a great back story of bad blood.
For as much as I disagree with the way Ben Simmons handled himself through this whole ordeal I think he’ll really strive with the Nets. He’s not battling for the paint with Embid since Simmons doesn’t shoot, now he can dish to KD, Patty Mills, Seth Curry, and Kyrie and Joe Harris (when they’re available). Now he can also focus on defense. Plus the culture (although disjointed) in Brooklyn is much more relaxed than it is in Philly. Plus now Simmons can be looked at as a third option as opposed to second option which might make him more comfortable to play his game. I think Brooklyn really made good on this trade. Especially getting Seth Curry thrown in there too with Harris being out for as long as he has.
I hope you're correct but I'm not convinced BS is NBA material Ben is a major disappointment, Kyrie is such a disappointment, I wonder if these young players understand that they have a six year window if you don't make a name for yourself its over for your career. Kyrie so much talent so little tact when it comes to career management
Charles really simplifies things by saying Ben won’t shoot so you’re playing 1-5. Bens useless if you do what Doc and Brett did in the playoffs and take the ball out of his hands to go sit in the dunker. He needs to be involved in the offense either as an initiator or as a pick and roll man, DHO facilitator.
I think you may have misunderstood what he was saying. He was saying Ben will basically be playing one-on-five because KD is hurt and Kyrie only plays road games, so Ben will be the only star player many nights.
@@ivotenotocensorship5247 I was just clarifying what Charles said. Your personal opinion on whether Ben is a star or not is a whole different discussion.
As a 76ers fan I feel like we lost in this trade. I know we needed to get rid of Ben but we will go thru the same thing with James in a few years. We also gave up our back up Center Andre which helped us when embid needs rest or gets hurt and we lack shooting with curry gone. I don’t think Danny can catch fire like he use to anymore. 2 first round picks is a lot to give up.
Drummond came in on a Veterans minimum deal, he isn’t a huge loss. Philly can find someone on the buyout market if they really don’t like Milsap and want another Center. 1st round pick this year will be late in the round and the next first rounder comes in 5 years and is protected. The picks don’t mean much. Philly won this trade. Not sure what you mean by going through it with Harden, he won’t be cheap but the guy is a good player that will be great in Philly. People say he quit on two teams but he was in Houston for 9 years. He just made a bad choice by joining KD and Kyrie. Literally the two worst and most toxic teammates in the NBA lol one of them obviously only wanted to play half his teams games this year as well(Kyrie), that must have been awful to deal with game after game. Sixers did what they needed to do to make a run this year, can’t hate the trade much, especially if Ben shows us he’s still awful where it matters most.
@@christopher7763 it was a huge lost if you know basketball. Embid is a wooden horse who needs super glue every year.plus the 76ers have no 3pt shooting now. Plus harden is a choke artist like simmons

It’s wild how when the press decides not to like a player, they suddenly become ‘not good’. Ben Simmons is one the best two way players in the league. Seth Curry is no slouch.. and Andre Drummond plays hard every play. With a healthy KD, we might be able to have a brother versus brother finals matchup with Steph and Seth.
cause of trust, they put a lot of money into Simmons then what? he breaks under pressure again? then gets sad and doesn't play? honestly im surprised the Nets wanted him, i was ready to hear him go to the Kings or even the Guangdong Tigers at this point but hey...maybe he improved.......maybe
Boi stop it seth finna ride the bench, patty better than ben, Drummond is as good blake soooo. This was a forced hand for the nets, they need point blank
I really hope Russ has been working on his game. I'm a die hard Laker, man, and he has been the biggest wrench in the spokes that I've ever seen. But, I was watching his OKC highlights, and I have to say: despite his career-stats never being astonishing, that version of Russ is way more efficient, impactful, confident, and dedicated. If he can look himself in the mirror, accept where he his, and focus on getting back to who he once was, I say the Lakers do have a shot at winning the chip. If they can activate their defense, Russ gets 20 points a night, LeBron gets his usual 30, AD gets 25 to 30, and their bench combines for 20 to 30, they can be a good team. They have to battle that disjointed, depressed energy that's hovering over them, though.
Not like you can ask him to work extra all summer. I mean, the man is only getting $44,000,000.00 this year and $47,000,000.00 next season......oh wait, that's exactly what he should be doing for $91M.
Great move for the nets if Simmons can play this year. They also have a first round pick this year, which based on their current record will be a solid player to deal or add to the core moving forward. Andre and Seth are both much needed additions as well. The 76’ers are legitimate title contenders now, If harden can adapt and provide the scoring and playmaking he’s capable of they are going far this year.
@@chadbutler8634 Yes I do, I'd give the 76'ers the edge assuming health. I love the bulls roster but they don't have anything to stop Joel from getting what he wants inside, and that was before they just added another all NBA player to allow Joel to get more Iso's. Now they add elite playmaking and scoring to stretch the defense further and get Joel easy buckets. This is exactly what they needed to contend, assuming both teams are fully healthy it'd be an amazing series. Once Lonzo and Caruso come back the bulls will go on a strong run to end the season. But ultimately I don't think they have the interior presence to overcome a healthy 76'ers team. If Demar and Zach can continue to drop 60+ a game combined anything is possible, but Zach has never even played in a playoff game before, and Demar has only averaged 25+ PPG in a playoff series once in his career. Once the perimeter defenders of the Sixers lock in, I think they'll contain Zach or Demar from taking over the series. Then that leaves Lonzo and White who've never played in the playoffs either. Even Nikola has only played 11 playoff games, they need more time to develop and grow.

Packing on the weight is the surest sign of Harden's intent for a trade.
I really hope this puts an end to the super team era 3 or more superstars on a team does not always work
How the heck did Harden end up being the one bringing the team down because "he wasn't all in", when there's a PART-TIME employee in Brooklyn who already has been a no-show two times before without even telling the boss that he wasn't showing up to work for weeks at a time?
Nets definitely won that trade. Can't believe Philly gave them two picks with it.😳
Depends how you look at it
Philly are a playoff team without simmons playing (albeit a low one) they gained harden and essentially lost curry and drummond from their rotation
The fact nets didn't get either maxey or thybulle means it's a pretty good trade for philly
This was a bit disappointing, I wanted to hear Chuck and company talk about the trades instead.
Chuck would be good at curling. Just tell him some fresh krispy kremes are under the ice
these guys need there own show like first take or something ahaha. so good to watch man. pure comedy at times!
this shouldve happen last szn instead of james going to bkn first 🥴
Exactly
nets vs philly will be good rivarly. Not just now but remember those games with dudley and simmons and jimmy butler
Man TNT has the best group of guys on any sports show. These guys all gel together and entertain to the fullest.
KD babysitting our 2 NBA Darlings
Where is RDC at they need to explain what happened lol
Seth will be the key of this trade
My mans face when he heard what Kenny said about the lakers at the end 😂😂😂😂
I wish BK would’ve traded James for Dame. Dame deserves a real title shot.
Portland and Harden wouldnt want each other. I can see Dame for Kyrie
Love this RUclips Channel!!!
It definitely propelled the Nets, they got a certified big in Drummond, Seth who can shoot, it was a good trade for the nets!!
And Ben don’t have to shoot now
As a 76ers fan I feel like we lost in this trade.
They traded one drama queen for another.
I agree 76ers got the shid end of the stick. Lol the 76ers won't win with harden, embid and Harris. Lucky they will get out the first round
@@christopher7763 it was a huge lost if you know basketball. Embid is a wooden horse who needs super glue every year.plus the 76ers have no 3pt shooting now. Plus harden is a choke artist like simmons
@@christopher7763 Harden imo deserves more slander than Simmons. We're gonna over look it, but Harden lowkey forced his way out of 2 teams within 1 1/2 yr
Ben Simmons and his therapist after hearing about the trade:
He's cured! I'm cured!
It’s wild how when the press decides not to like a player, they suddenly become ‘not good’. Ben Simmons is one the best two way players in the league. Seth Curry is no slouch.. and Andre Drummond plays hard every play. With a healthy KD, we might be able to have a brother versus brother finals matchup with Steph and Seth.
for ben to be one of the best 2 way players in the league it would imply he has an offensive skillset.
Ben can’t shoot 😂 what 2 way player you talking about here?
cause of trust, they put a lot of money into Simmons then what? he breaks under pressure again? then gets sad and doesn't play? honestly im surprised the Nets wanted him, i was ready to hear him go to the Kings or even the Guangdong Tigers at this point but hey...maybe he improved.......maybe
Boi stop it seth finna ride the bench, patty better than ben, Drummond is as good blake soooo. This was a forced hand for the nets, they need point blank
Ben? He’s a good role player at best, can’t win with him
when the camera guy tripped I couldn’t help but laugh 😂 sorry camera guy
Russ is washed up
Russ been in the league over 10 years and can't hit the side of a barn he done he can jump he can't beat anybody of the dribby and he can shoot
Best tv show on tv
Is that Kenny tapping his pen around 5 minutes in...?
Got to love how they let nothing slide . That camera bobbling in the beginning . They had to talk about it LOL
Do you think they can beat the Bulls?
Deeng, Drummond and Seth Curry is a nice addition. Seth shooting 40% from 3.
@@themightyruler1319 Atlanta beat them without James. With only Joel and James the Bulls are definitely beating Philly. They can’t beat Mia, bucks nor a healthy net’s team.
Proud of TNT posting the full videos to their channel, only took 10 years...
Harden didn't want to be there, because he had the promise that Kyrie was going to play
Lol, sure....
Exactly 💯.
The 6ers team is going to be super interesting to see how the dynamic works with Emid and James
