  • This video demonstrates how to make a contact sheet of your negatives in the darkroom.
It generally follows the directions described in Kodak publication AJ-3 (imaging.kodakalaris.com/sites/...)

Great video as usual! I have a question, What do you do with the chemical? how do you discard them? - thanks

Right. That edge method even works when scanning. A slider is moved in manual mode to darken the preview until edges darken enough.
My current problem is to figure out how dense to expose film in the first place so wet prints will look correct

Can you expand on the difference between using different types of fixer?

Very nice video, but I'm really interested in how did you take that portrait. Can you tell me about it?

That is the result of a couple tries and a patient wife. And a tripod.

@@TheNakedPhotographer I'm also impressed with the similarity of the photos between different rolls.
That is a lot of patience and directing technique on her!

You only need hypo clear because you used hypo, and if you use fiber paper, right?
Is you use PE "paper" (polyethylene?), or if you use an alkali fixer (I love ammonium thiosulfate except for the smell when seasoned), you're good without hypo clear and just a 6min wash. Right?

Hi, if you don't have sprocket wholes, such as for MF film, how do you set the proof?

You can still see the clear edge of the film against the black paper.

How do you calculate back for printing exposure times, take 10*15 or 13*18 print.....?

I treat that completely separate and don’t try to translate any printing times from the contact sheet to the print. Too many variables change between them.
