Hi Gintaras, That is a good question, I always thought that you need 50 hp per 1m of working width. Therefore 8 m seeder would require at least 400 hp, however farmers from Latvia proof me wrong, as you see on this video, farmer choose 285 hp for 8m and this is enough for him. He set up leading tine only at 5 cm depth and he has very light soils. Short answer, 300 hp would be substantial for 6m seeder, but not for 8, as the one on the video.
@@andrei_botnari I got Valtra S374 (350hp) and I am using Claydon Hybrid T4,8 model. I hoped that I could tray 8 meters model, but it seems that upgrade to 6 meters model is more realistic. Thanks for the answer.
@@Gintaras64 I would say yes. T6 is it much more secure option. It is good to have 10-15% in reserve. Besides, T6 is one of the best-designed drills from Claydon, especially after the upgrade. Dojus should have them in stock by now.
В этом году в центральной Латвии сеял рапс по стерне Claydon 6Т очень хорошо обошёл и уже очень мощный корень.
Спасибо Виталий. Надеюсь твой рапс хорошо перезимует, и ты будешь доволен урожайностью.
Is 300hp is enough for this seeder?
