That store looks insane. My Aim Is True is awesome - amazing debut album. So many versions of his albums but thats a good one - got some bonus tracks. 40% off USED - heaven! Dave Stewart...lol classic insert there. Gilda Radner doing Patti Smith "Gimme Mick" - awesome. Nice score.
Those are the only two Who Albums I need in my collection. I believe them to be their 2 best albums. I’m happy to have two outstanding copies of them both. Nice pick ups, Steve! Great store.
Good that you picked up that Elvis "My Aim Is True" The bonus tracks on it are very good. Huey Lewis's first band Clover from Marin County is the backing band on that record. John McFee later a Doobie Brother for life ) John did all of the amazing guitar work on this great record. I bought "The Crane Wife" shortly after release. I like the solo Kurt Vile, and all of his work with Courtney Barnett.. I love your edits, you could make a career of it.. I think ? 😳
i still am shocked i didnt have the crane wife. was sure i did. i had heard that about clover before. during the Go-Gos section of this i started to get bit by ants. the things i do to show yall my purchases.
That's a Go Go's I hope to find on vinyl. I was back at Bill's after work, amazingly Still good records to be found ! Sean and I went backstage to see my nephew Jared in Rivers Of Nihil. They came over from Europe, before Reno, they played Chicago and Denver. Sean 2nd show.. Ever. First one was The Wailers, and now.. Progressive Death Metal ! Haha 🤘
@@jtsrecordroom3963 i have all those GoGos on vinyl. i’m surprised you havent grabbed it. I see it in stores all the time. thats great ya bringing him to those shows.
Those are some great scores there. The Who LPs you can't go wrong with especially with the discount. My Aim Is True is my favorite Elvis Costello album. Ironically I saw Elvis at a 'Catch A Rising Star' concert for a $1.00 in 1978 doing that record. The Tourist album would be interesting to hear. I know that was Annie Lenox and "Dave Stewart's" first group but I've never heard anything by them. Good stuff!
damn dude again you got the awesome concert tale. i wont be able to listen to this Tourists album till i get home in August (even though I’m sure it online id rather wait)…. but i’m very curious to hear what it sounds like.
Cheerwine!!! My favorite Decemberists is The Hazards of Love - Colin Meloy really went all in on Prog and even has a bit of metal flare to it (I'm a sucker for reprises and repeated riffs).
i’ll keep an eye for that. Yes i always go overboard with cheerwine down here. not the last time you’ll see it appear in a video. i’m gonna be here till almost august. gonna try to take in a riverdogs game. this is 3rd year working here and still haven’t made it over for a game.
Your very cool because you like the 80s stuff, Van Halen is my favorite band too. I loved you Van Halen vinyl collection video, you should make one long video showing EVERYTHING.
thanks lori. it’s not exactly what youre looking for but i did make 4 videos showing my entire collection. if you go to my playlists youll see one for VH and see my 4 Collection vids. I’m not in them its just the collection.
I definitely love The Who and Who’s Next is their best imo. I know a lot from Elvis Costello and the Go Go’s and it’s cool that you found SNL on vinyl.
yeh I have that SNL on vinyl and CD and cassette actually. This copy I picked up for my bud Weickert turns out he already has it. So I gotta find a new home for it. Agree about Who’s Next even though I have a sentimental attachment to Face Dances.
@@STEVEHEROLD I’m sure that you could trade SNL in somewhere. I actually used to own It’s Hard on CD, but it was only for one single, Eminence Front. When I bought The Who Hits 50! On CD It’s Hard got traded in for some other crap that I probably don’t need. 😂
I went to Monster Music on my visit in Nov (3 videos on my channel back in late Nov showing what I got). Huge store for sure. I barely made it thru a majority of the vinyl section, not even sure the whole CD side. Could spend all day in there had I had time. I did find some good stuff in the 50% off bin. I agree, if I lived there, I'd go broke. I also found a lot of my kind of desired stuff, at Black Cat Records.
hey jeff. yeh this place is great. this year ive done pretty good and only visited twice. i’m gonna be here until almost august so maybe maybe i might stop in once more on sale day. i’m gonna go check out what ya picked up on your visit. I know of black cat but have never popped in. they’re gonna be at a record show next month i might go to. thanks for tuning in.
The parking lot is so full of customers 😂 The Wet Leg and Elvis Costello are great. I always find the Decemberists interesting. I have all kinds of versions of Who's Next. I saw them on the tour supporting that album. Special album for sure. La Luz seems interesting. I will be looking into them.
hahah to be fair filmed this sunday night after they had closed weeks after record store day. movie magic. wet leg is a lot better than i thought it would be. awesome you got to see The Who on that tour.
The El Mocambo is a legendary (and tiny) Toronto concert venue. The Stones famously played a surprise gig there. I like the Decembrists. Lotta Sea Lice is on my want list. You got some really great deals, including the Who on vinyl
And those bottles and cans behind you? Where were all people? I thought I'd get that Who on vinyl but I end up buying CD. mr. Finglish (Bäd English Recs)
this was filmed late on a sunday after they had closed for the day. cant come to the carolinas without picking up some delicious Cheerwine in all shapes and sizes.

Rock and roll me till I puke, Mr. Rosenberg 😂
my original idea with that dave stewart part was to ask a few of you to send me a video yelling it. but just seemed like too much.
@@STEVEHEROLD was good enough with you. Very funny

It's only his 3rd show... Fastball out of Austin. The Wailers, and now a Proggressive Death Metal band. He met the boys in the band !
