So, so thankful for the completion of your chemo & radiation. We know what a milestone that is in our household. Our thoughts and prayers stay with you for continuing health and for the joy that cruising and spending time with family & friends post lockdown will bring this summer. Blessings!!!
Thanks Clare ❤️
Stunning footage of both the sunset from the picnic bench and that swan! STUNNING! The lambs are simply adorable. So good to see your faces again. Much love and stay safe. Xxx ❤️❤️
Thanks ❤️
LOL!!! The swan story had me in stitches. A very angry swan once bit a friend's daughter on the butt here in South Africa. We still giggle about that......a few years later!!! Amazing photography. The lambs are too adorable!! That barbeque looked great. Here we call it a "braai" and we do that as often as we can. Because of our weather, many homes have indoor "braai" rooms which is an indication to you of how much we treasure a good "braai". Your and Colin and Shaun's video's are my favourites and I must say that you all are a source of many giggles and enjoyment. Thanks a lot for that. You're an amazing couple and I do believe so many people can learn from you guys about how a fabulous relationship should look like. Lots of love from Cape Town. XXX
Thanks 👍
Where does the term Braai come from
We have a gas Cadac also
You have good taste!!🤣 There isn't a household here that does not have something in their house made by Cadac. The term "braai" is a direct translation of the word "grill" into our own language which is Afrikaans. However, believe it or not.....English speaking South Africans also use the word "braai". When we hear someone using the word "barbeque", we know that person is probably a foreigner. By the way.....you have a great appreciation of good beer. If you ever come this way, remember to try our craft beers. Very unique and fabulous on a hot day. Just make sure you're close to a chair or bed when you drink one of those!!🤣😂💝
So that's us caught up with your journey after a few weeks of binge watching.
We've loved having you guys round every evening and we have withdrawal symptoms already.
You guys are lovely and so much fun, even in the hard times you've always had a positive attitude. We love the chat, the cruising, the scenery, just everything about your channel. We're so happy that Debbie has finished her treatment and you'll be up and away cruising again soon. Take care guys xx

WOW! That swan landing was superb! All of those swan videos. Once in a lifetime.
Oh, what sweet baby sheep, what sweet lambs. Aack, I eat lamb too ... how can that be???
gosh, what a sunset! thank you!
SO Glad to see that Deb looks like she's feeling better, and that your treatments are all finished! It'll be so good for you to get back on the cut and back to regular life again. That should really help your spirits!
Being from the land that canoes created (Canada), I'd call that little thing a Kayak - Canoes are usually bigger and meant to carry 2 or more people, and often cargo (up to a ton or more in some cases), too. Kayaks are usually smaller - most often one person, but sometimes 2, and usually not much room for much other than the people. I have a 16 foot canoe, that can carry a family of 4 and a dog, and still have room left over! Doesn't really matter what you call it as long as you have fun!
I remember watching someone making a birch bark canoe, fascinating
i'm so glad for you debs , that you've now finished your treatment , looking forwards to seeing you both cruising again , nice shot of the swan mark , brilliant , take care both of you . xx
Thanks Lori

Enjoyed the mixed vlog. Congratulations on finishing the treatments Deb
Thanks ❤️
Great news about Deb's treatments being over! It's a canoe, canoes are open, kayaks are enclosed.
Thanks Paul
❤️
I do not agree. It is more of a kayak. The double bladed paddle is the giveaway. Plus, I found this: "In a kayak, the paddler is seated and uses a double-bladed paddle pulling the blade through the water on alternate sides to move forward. In a canoe, the paddler kneels and uses a single-bladed paddle to propel the boat forward."
Oh I enjoyed that. It was a smorgasbord of fun things. Have you noticed all the boaty vblogers are smiling? Nice to see you two are. Hug.
Smiling because they are all doing what they love ❤️
The swan footage was amazing....I didn't realize that they could water ski...lol. Love and hugs as always.

Mother natures going through menopause. Great video !

I believe, as that float in inflatable, that it qualifies as a kayak. I understand the confusion as i was a white water kayaker and,my keyak had a top with a tight rubber seal around the waste that did an okay job at keeping your contents inside the deck dry. If you insisted on putting your gear at your feet, it's going to get wet. There was a hatch (usually) at the tip of the bow to put your gear in. You could also put in a seal that you could then put your arms in to keep you in the kayak and things stayed a little dryer. I was in the Colorado River which ran deeper, and when i finally learned how, i could flip underwater and back out doing a sideways flip. It took awhile to learn and I found myself underwater more than once. I wanted a way to pop out of the kayak if i couldn't right myself (though you could use your oars to push yourself back upright. Great fun but you would dump all of your gear trying that in a canoe. No, dad had a canoe and it was the vessel of choice for my people. A few of my ancestors made it to ireland and back again in their canoe. A canoe is much larger and deeper than a kayak. My dad's canoe was EASILY twice as long as my keyak and 3x deeper. A 2 man kayak is still much shorter than a canoe.
They will do follow up testing WHEN? Before you head out, maybe? If not? None of my business and don't feel obligated to answer but make them check a couple of times a year. I would say no later than 6 months after your last session though i would probably push at 6 weeks just for my own piece of mind. I don't know the UK's protocol for follow up. Frankly, having been retired for 10+ years, i don't know ours. I had a scare last year and the radiologist who did the biopsy found a couple more lumps in the lymph system and was convinced that they weren't cysts. Everyone said goodbye like i was leaving for my own funeral when they finished all the biopsies. It took FOREVER to get the results back (weeks, really, but felt like years) and they were negative. Because the docs didn't agree, they were sent to one of the major cancer centers to break the tie. As the results were negative, i had to wait a year for another scan. I can't tell you how relieved i was when the tests came back clean a few months ago. I am fairly conservative about such things but will admit that i did not specialise in that area. I don't know nothing about nothing!
You found exactly what you wanted and now we need to wait? :::::::::whining:::::::::
I am sure that i will survive so don't mind me.
Great video! Your scarf was beautiful, DebOrah (as Mark likes to say) and looked really good on you! The blue and white one you wore on your head? Thanks for the ipdate! We will see you next week!
Thanks for the canoe/kayak clarification. When you mention "your people and ancestors" do you mind me asking your background?
No final scan or checkup but yearly mammograms and of course checking yourself and getting to a doctors if anything seems a miss.
Great to hear those last tests eventually came back negative for you.
Hopefully you'll see ma video from us again next week

Beautiful images and wonderful news about the ending of Deb’s treatment. Such a lovely vlog! Watch the pair of swans after the cob has succeeded in chasing you off next time as they sometimes do a courtship style dance eye to eye to celebrate the chasing off of the predator. Super filming!🦋🌻👍
Thanks❤️
She spend most of the time on the nest at the moment, we have witnessed their courtship dance but have never had the camera ready, cant wait to see the signets
glad to see your both doing well.and looking so healthy. all the best, and keep the videos coming.iv missed seeing them over last few weeks,
Thanks Steve, Make sure you've got notifications turned on we've post videos for the last 4 weeks
@@welldeckdiaries5610 thamks will check.saw your live vlog.
It helps getting into the canoe if you hold the paddle across the top, in front of you, with one hand on each side of the gunnels. It balances your weight. Cheers from Canada.🤙
Thanks for the info!
Challenge for you Mark (now I have got the image in my head, kinda like an ear worm but more - sorta - well - visual really). Speeded up video of the swan attacks in the style of a Benny Hill chase complete with dee dee diddly dee dee diddly music. My guess is you tried to sidle up to the nest and get some video footage and he thought "ere, what you up too - I'm gonna have you mate - trying to catch an eyeful of my missus on the nest" LOL
Ha Ha got the benny hill ear worm in my head now, you cant get within 50ft of the nest
A kayak uses a double ended kayak paddle and most often has a closed deck, but not always anymore. Inuit (and traditional) kayaks do have a covered deck and a single opening that can often be made almost water tight around the paddlers waist to roll the craft if need be in something called a kayak roll. A canoe is most often open decked and the paddle is single-ended. The inflatable in the video would be a hybrid in that it uses a double-ended kayak style paddle, but is open-decked like a canoe. I've owned both but the kayak is more for 'sport' use on whitewater and the canoe is more for more than one paddler and camping gear, but also works fine on whitewater or with one paddler. I suppose the bow and tail structure would be the determining 'name' for the craft. A Kayak has very little bow above the water line, while a canoe has the traditional half-moon type of bow and tail and isn't biased one end or the other. We can now commence the arguments :-) and I will respond with "it is a boat and as long as it floats, it's still a boat.
Watched a documentary of a chap making a traditional birch bark canoe, it was mesmerising.
Fantastic shots of the swan. Take care and regards Michae
Glad you enjoyed it

The community spirit in the marina and out on the cut is fantastic
We had the tragedy of a female Swan on the nest killed by a dog a couple of years ago on my local river, they won't leave the eggs no matter what, the male was taken away in the end as he was in a bad way after, wasn't moving, eating etc, your guy is just doing his job and protecting his family and Mrs from anything he concidered a threat and in his eyes that's everything but him! I appreciate and understand grumpy male swans much more since then.
Thats so sad 😩
love watching your channel
