Hands down one of the most innovative intelligent revolutionary thinkers & speakers of our time. And an amazing artist. The bravery he had to do this & honesty he had to face himself too is awe inspiring

2024, New Years Eve, what a profound philosophical perspective on Art and Life and Incarceration that Jesse Krimes presented on Ted Talks from 2015. His observation on his experience left me with so much to consider about complexities and how each of us is in some kind of incarceration whether we realize it or not. And that our surface perceptions need to be examined and sat with, not just reacted to.
A very meaningful presentation by a thoughtful and meaningful young artist. He transcends many of our preconceptions.

Thank you Jesse. I am sorry you and so many others got trapped and astonished and how you found a voice that is so clear and profound. The first step is defining the problem and clearly it is not the crime. I hope there is a solution.

Heh...I love when reality has little ironies hidden in our existence like easter eggs. Of _course_ his last name is Krimes. Of course. :)
Great talk though. I dig his art. Really shows how the genuine love of artistic expression has zero real limits...you can't take it away from someone.
