The infographics in the Military Growth section really show why every sane opponent feared provoking the SLDF, and how it managed to grind down the Periphery, then go straight on to crush Amaris, and still retain the might to potentially decide the balance of power in the IS. Just boggling numbers there. Also explains how the Exodus fleet could start an entire new society so far beyond the borders, fight their own massive civil war, and still have the ability to rebuild into a true threat to the IS in the centuries to come. Even the much-reduced SLDF was an enormous organization.

One of the things that I have always thought was that Richard Cameron was really set up for failure. A large part of this is Kerensky himself. Alexander was brilliant yet human and fallible. He really should have seen that he could either be the leader of the SLDF or Reginent, not both. A large part of Richards failings can be laid at Alexander's feet. The young Cameron was not at all prepared for his role, not was he properly raised. In a modern comparison would be that of Joffery from King of Thrones. He was horrible in part because he had few checks and balances, and no real parental guidance. We will never know if history would have been different, had Kerensky devoted himself fully to the Regent role.
