Hello from Ukraine! I am pleasantly surprised how you can use petrykivka in zentangle method . Bravo, bravissimo! You inspired me to try our national draw tradition. Thank you very much!
Hello!! How fabulous to hear from you in Ukraine! I was totally absorbed by the beautiful and inspiring Petrykivka art form. I researched and learned so much about it. I'd love to see what you create. You can also find me on Facebook & Instagram - Zenjo Zentangle. I hope that you are safe and well. Jo 💖
What a delightful, graphic art form. Thanks so much for sharing this with us, and enlightening us on this traditional Ukrainian art. I can’t wait to do this. ❤
Lovely work and congrats on creating a beautiful new tangle! Your video was quite shaky, making it a bit hard to watch. Just thought you should know. Probably your table shaking as you work. I like to use the Graphic pen for inking in larger areas. Better coverage. Second coat if wanted.
I’m glad you like the tangle. Yes, the video is a bit shaky! I filmed this 18 months ago and my recording technique and equipment has improved since then. It’s a learning curve. I always encourage people to use whichever pen they prefer to use. I often use different size nibs for different purposes. I like using a Micron 05 as that allows for a flow of ink and finer detail.
Hello, from Wales!! How wonderful to hear from you in Ukraine. I hope that you have had a chance to create your own version of Kivka. I would love to see what you create. I hope that you are safe. Jo
I love this one so much but I’m struggling to get it right. All of your lines are so sharp! I won’t give you on it but I’m far from figuring this one out
Hi Caryn, Take your time and gently focus upon one line at a time. Using a good quality fine-liner pen (I generally use Sakura Microns 01 to 05 nib size) and good quality paper can make all the difference to the visual end result. Repeating a tangle or pattern also makes it more familiar and you will find that it therefore becomes easier. I'd love to see what you create. 😍

@@zenjozentangle Thanks. I'll be watching more of your videos - I love learning new tangles and seeing new versions of older ones.
There is always so much fun to be had exploring new and older tangles.
