Which one of these akiya in Yokosuka would you rather buy? Apply for Akiya Income Generator: forms.gle/ZbanpivqL1kch8uV6 [SPECIAL DEAL UNTIL FEB. 24] Japan REI Boot Camp - www.postfi.co/offers/6PZqhrjW/checkout
Interesting. At 4.16 where you stop at the light, the view of the ocean and an overall feel is so satisfying. It also reminds me of Hawaii and Miami. While the prices of Akiyas are good, renovations and to find the right team, is always a concern, more so if you have language barriers and come from abroad. Thanks once again for an amazing trip, Shu 👍
Yokosuka is a good place to be as long as you don't need to travel outside of Yokosuka all the time. You're right - it all depends on knowing the right team to make it work.
Another great video Shu! Thank you for showing us these properties. Your walkthrough and analysis is great as always! When you mention rebuildable I am curious what that cost in geneal would be is standing up something similar but new. The remodel costs always seem reasonable all things considered so Im curious but new rebuilds can run for.
I found that first one on google maps. It's way the heck back there and I doubt it gets much sun parts of the year. Even bringing in groceries from the market seems like a heavy lift. Cool house but the exact location has challenges. How would anything get back there to rebuild or repair?
Maybe I am off-topic, buuuuut.... is there a nice apartment in a condo (not a whole condo like Colin thought!!! 😉) with a bit of seaview (even if from a far) available in Yokohama or Yokosuka, decently close to a station and with some shops/konbini in range???
That's not the Pacific ocean....it's Tokyo Bay(Tokyo Wan). You were on the Miura peninsula with Tokyo Wan on on the eastern side and Sagami Wan on the western side.
The first one is really close to Shiori station which is really good, you would just have to get on the train and get off at the first stop Yokosuka Chuo and then take the green train to Yokohama or Tokyo which doesn't take long. I was stationed in Yokosuka back in the 80's and loved it. The mass transportation is the best. I'm working on an Akiya but out in the Yamanashi area, it's actually a condo, hopefully I can visit this summer and make a deal.
I think i would purchase the one closest to the train station. It's a more recent build too. How far is the nearest train station on that second property?

Any akiya 30 years+ purchased have to be demolished and rebuilt in japan a thing or just rumours?

Very knowledgeable, Shu. Thank you for your insight. Talk later this year!
Really like this series dude!
Hey man! I like your videos as well. :) Fun guy.
Thank you!
Thank you for the video. I will be visiting Yokosuka soon for a navy friend of mine who is basing there.
Sounds great! Thanks for watching!
You picked this area for a reason....... I like it. Leaning towards #2 because of the car park and ocean. Might be an AIRBnB candidate. Thank you !
I like that ! I'm after cheap. Thankyou.

Do homes ever have garages? Love the close proximity to the ocean!
Yes, of course, some do have garages and some do not, just like any other country.

Can you recommend any agents who service other areas of Japan besides the Tokyo metro?
would you have time to do a video for a rebuild - how much and long it will take?

I'm looking for a property in kanagawa, mainly Fujisawa kamakaru or enoshima around 5 or 6 million yen, how possible would this be? 🤔
I actually live in Yokosuka…😅
Hello, I wonder why USA have bases in Japan, how many bases have and what is the reason that USA have bases in Japan ?
That's not the Pacific ocean....it's Tokyo Bay(Tokyo Wan). You were on the Miura peninsula with Tokyo Wan on on the eastern side and Sagami Wan on the western side.
It's an inlet of the Pacific Ocean
An inlet is not a bay...or wan...that's why the Japanese call it Sagami Wan and Tokyo Wan...and so does the rest of the world.@@PixelBaller
Need a 日本人つま first, then I'll buy an Akiya.
No sense if living somewhere without family.
Good luck ;)
😆
Great videos! Love this vlog!! Thanks from argentina 🇦🇷 ❤
Love to hear that!

So, at 6.5-7 mil, and about 6.5-7k rent, it would take about 8-9 years to break even? I'm just wondering if that's a good investment.
Perfect area! Buy it now!!!! Rent to sailors for great recurring revenue.
Would someone have to pay taxes on the property after it's paid in full? Kinda like here in the states.
Could you also tell us how far from the conbini or supermarkets are each properties 😊
Thanks for educating me I'm learning a lot from your videos
Glad to help!
2nd one very cool. Thanks so much and yes the sea side!
I agree!
Location and potential on the last one by the ocean. Very cool.

The first one is under contract already... The second one is about 20 mins to Kurihama station
Seen a lot of your videos. I appreciate the work as I plan to move to Japan in the next 3-5 years.
Best of luck to you!
