I think is best to buy an akiya in near in the train station, i thinks its a good akiya you buy, soon I'll buy an akiya one day, and I'll buy more, my real estate investment plan is gonna be in tokyo, kyota, osaka and Fukuoka, but I rather start in tokyo eheheh
This is a great Showa era example still in good condition. Not much needs to be done except lighter colors to brighten it and a renovated kitchen and toilet. The tatami mats and traditional style is cool!
It would be great to see some follow ups of how the akiya you did purchase looked post renovation and what you recommend for picking out renovation companies.

If i am in Japan i will remove the washing machine from the 🛁 bathroom to the Kitchen. That is best place for a washing machine, it bad over ther the bathroom ,great home 🏠

Great video, Shu. I'm getting addicted. We just bought a 20ish year old mansion for around 44 million just next to Shin-yokohama station and can confirm it's a beautiful area. A lot of entertainment facilities, nature and access to good paying jobs. Compared to Tokyo, I can't help but feel the area is still undervalued.
Some of us love Showa era bathrooms with the trad tubs and old style loos with tap on top of the cistern 👍 How easy would it be to insulate a property over there like this. Is that even a thing retrofitting these older houses? Great vid thanks
