Rocky has had a problem for a while with price point... . to me Rocky is 12 to 18 maybe 20 all day.....Rocky is trying to go Davidoff price with Rocky taste/ quality....I love Rocky and am a huge fan.... always have been and probably always will be......BUT his prices have forced me other places.

I have dozens if not hundreds of cigars that are worth over $100 each. I would never pay that for a Rocky patel, I am not a big fan of their company in general. I have very few non-cubans that I would pay that for. Maybe a Davidoff or a rare Placencia or Padron, but not much else. WIth cubans they are pricey because they are harder to get and generally age better. There is a bigger market and they are cosnidered to be more of a luxury good in general. I have had great experiences with some very expensive cubans but yet to find a non-cuban (ourside of some davidoff limited edition cigars) that are worth anything in that range. You can get some very high end Padrons for much cheaper that would definitely out compete any cigar from rocky patel. I always looked at them as a mid range/ discount brand.
i would agree with RP being a brand that doesn't know how to make high price cigars. but Cuban cigars now a days are very under aged. no matter which country i pick up my boxes of those, i end up having to let them sit for years, in terms of 100 dollar cigars. well other than luxury aspect, no cigar should be costing 100 dollar tbh. thank you for watching my review.
@@SoySauceAssassin I agree with that which is why I largely am not buying them anymore. The reason I have so many is because I saw the writing on the wall of where the cuban market was headed and happend to be going there in 2016. I ended up spending 25k on cigars that year and slowed down in subsequent years but I still kept most of the higher end sticks that I bought. I grew my collection to around 800-100 sticks in that time prior to the massive price increases and now Im set. I wish they didnt raise the prices and I never purchased them to make money from them but my collection spiked to a near 6 figure value. I mostly did it because I was afraid I would not be able to afford smoking them in the future and boy did that prediction become true. The good thing is that I got them when they were much cheaper but they also all have between 8-15 years of age on them now. I always purchased cubans in every european country I visited and before this recent cigar boom I found many great finds like cohiba esplindidos, lanceros etc form the early 2000s. Some of the crazier boxes I bought I may keep to auction off one day just because I cant justify smoking them anymore.

I haven't tried the cigar yet but when you comment producer that introduced a cigar which is in your opinion to expensive for your taste it would be ok to say that the same producer made cigars that are way better then the price they have at the moment. Also cigar lovers know how Cubans aged their tobacco, it's absurd that you google that wile doing a review of a cigar haha
to answer some of your questions, Of course I have reviewed some cigars from different brands that are in my opinion worth way more than what they were charging for, i haven't find one person who bought this cigar with their own money that tells me "100 bucks for that cigar is a steal!" besides it's my review so in my opinion it's worth what i feel like, after all, the value is in the eye of beholder, you feel like it's worth $100, feel free to get a few for yourself and enjoy it. In term of cigar lovers knows how Cubans aged their tobacco, i actually think most "cigar lovers" don't. what you are probably thinking are people who are in the cigar game for a while, you don't have to be into cigars or even smoke them to be "cigar lovers", either way the information is for those who need it, those who don't can skip ahead . lastly, EVERY reviewers google their information, put them together and present them to the viewers, I just don't try to hide it, it's called research lol , I don't remember or write those thing down because i review a different cigar Everyday that's a lot to remember not even a rep can remember everything they sell all the time, every reaction I have on my review are genuinely presented to my reviewers.
