I saw this bottle laying alone and literally did the passionfruit margarita recipe and it’s not the best margarita I’ve ever had but definitely an interesting twist (I did add grenadine for sweetness)
Thank you Mark. We’re getting there. My Channel does pull in more Weekly views than some channels with 100k Subs though. So while more Subs would be awesome, YT is all about Views.
I had picked up Pasoa based on your recommendation. I was looking at my bar and thinking.... what can I do with this right now? So, I thought I'd fake my way to a Hurricane. 2 Pusser's Gunpowder Proof. 1 Pasoa 1 Orange Juice 1/4 Grenadine 1/4 Heering Cherry It may not pass muster in NOLA but I think it tastes great. Cheers
Yup... just remember, the Syrup is a Sweetener and sugar based. But VERY EASY way to replicate a Liqueur... just bulk out a bit of Syrup with Vodka. Say 15ml Syrup to 30ml Vodka...et viola...an okayish Strawberry liqueur.

St Johns, then Jesus. Many moons ago though. Loved my time...and the MANY May Balls!! Which college you at? I hear there's potential you guys aren't going back in October?
@@StevetheBarmanUK Queens' myself. We are going back next year, although big lectures may be held virtually. Supervisions to (hopefully) go ahead in person. I'm a fresher, so haven't had a may ball yet - was meant to be going to John's this year! Learning to make cocktails in the event college bar isn't open.
Ah. Good to hear you’ll all be back. Gutted you missed St Johns. Hottest Tickets in town. Did 7 Balls there. Epic nights. Mind you, Jesus was pretty cool too.
The Sour comes from the Lime Juice. So just add less! The proper ratios for any Daiquiri are 4:2:1 (4 parts Rum, 2 parts Lime, 1 part Sugar) however, we know that people do have a sweeter tooth so some do go 4:2:2 (or 4:1:1 for a more boozier Daq). BUT. Not sure where you are, take chains like TGI Fridays. Their client base is traditionally a younger Sweeter customer. And I’ve seen some of their specs hitting 4:1:2. Now for 75% of the population that will be waaaaaay too sweet. But ultimately you just have to cater to your own palate.
I know you're not a tequila fan but Jeez... JC? I would recommend for a really fine, inexpensive Tequila... Arette 2 Arette Tequila 1 Lime Juice 1 Cointreau
Weird measurements, friend. Cocktails are usually ratio based, so the measurements all need the same base, usually 15mls. If you're working backwards from ounces, one ounce is 60mls.
And of course, you're probably US based correct. Don't forget here in the UK, we're not old school. We're new school Metric. We don't do ounces. Are measurements are 50ml, 25ml and 12.5ml. But also don't forget some Liqueurs have different ABVs too. You can't just work to a set 15ml. 15ml of say Velevet Falernum, will create a weaker drink that 15ml of Bitter Truth Falernum. 15ml of Passoa will create a different drink to 15ml of Bols Passion Fruit or Chinola. Cocktails are not set ratios. For example, I could give you 10 different people who all want a Daiquiri and all 10 might want it at a different ratio. Anything from 8:2:1 to 2:1:1.
Margarita is my favorite but they are all awesome. Thanks!

Yup... Just getting in to my Tequila. My Palate has changed massively over the last 3-5 years. Until now, I've always hated the stuff!
Can you make some cocktails using Passoa?
What can I use as a substitute for strawberry liqueur? Can I use monin strawberry syrup?

Hi steve, I currently attend the uni you used to work out, just wondering which college you worked behind the bar at?

how do you make a frozen strawberry daquiri in a blender with ice cubes and let it not be sour ?

Omg looks delicious! Do we have passoã in Canada??!😍👌
I now need some strawberry liquor 🤔
Haha. I’ll be honest, Strawberry as a flavour is a staple. Whether you have Liqueur, Puree or Syrup, that’s down to you.
I know you're not a tequila fan but Jeez... JC?
I would recommend for a really fine, inexpensive Tequila... Arette
2 Arette Tequila
1 Lime Juice
1 Cointreau
Laredo is good and cheap, too.
