These kind of things keep happening and will keep happening due to the insane extreme cancel culture in SK and peoples fear of any tiny indiscretion or things being taken and twisted will be career ending.
The actor JAE LIM who died recently, have been Targeted for 3yrs for similar thing They need to Find the person Immediately and lock him/her Up. These people are Insane.
that's different. in SJL's case, it was a saesang fan who threatened to release personal information of his fiance. their relationship was not yet public and the fiance got scared and broke the engagement.
Penalty on blackmail will need to be much more severe. Jail time and full reparations made for the money transferred. Maybe then those delulus will think twice before doing stuff like this.
Remember when Junhoon of G.O.D. was “caught dating” and he was like yooooo. I am 32 when can I have a relationship….the fact they have to hide is so crazy…because of unhinged fans these artist have to stay single or hide dating which can lead to so many mental health issues having to be secretive or isolated.
Don’t think that he has to be doing illegal things so he has to pay blackmail, just think a minute, what if he talk with a family member about that family member confessing to him being gay in the closet, or someone else having an affair, he wouldn’t want that to be exposed, and that’s only some exemples,….so many reasons can be the case….so I think that is exactly is worst, is stepping into conclusion, speculations etc…idols should have their private lives more respected.
The South Korean entertainment industry often pressures celebrities into backdoor dating and other questionable behaviors. If these individuals were free to date openly and choose their partners without restrictions, there would likely be less of this troubling behavior and fewer tragic incidents, including suicides. It's important to respect people's private lives. Enjoy the content they create, but remember: you do not own them!
Also I think netizens have such influence in idol’s career where they shouldn’t. Everything hinders on the perception of fans. Here in America we have our stars too and yes public perception is importance but it doesn’t drive the artist career
I am BTS ARMY and I honestly believe if they want to have any sort of reasonable adult life when they are discharged they need to move abroad. How will they ever be able to date without the trash media and netizens commenting on every single detail, especially about their partner. Then again, they may set a good example for idols in their 30s and actually openly date, with no grovelling and apologies to fans required! I would 100% support that.
@deepestsleeep. Don’t act like certain fans haven’t called for idols to leave their groups because the idol was dating. They just did it recently to that one idol when a picture of him kissing a girl was leaked…they demanded he be removed and then threw fits when the company tried to allow him back in the group…so now he can’t be in the group at all. And when one of Exo’s members got married they screamed and demanded that he be removed….but luckily the company didn’t listen to those fans. When one of Super Junior’s members announced he was getting married years ago….they screamed and demanded that he be removed…and he had to leave Super Junior because he didn’t want the other members suffering because of him. All of the “fans” that went ballistic when Jungkook posed for a picture with a girl who was his friend and worked at the tattoo shop…and those fans harassed the shop and vandalized it. There are many many other examples of what “fans” do….and the comment above was talking about BTS and other idols….not the guy in the video….so don’t act like fans don’t behave lowly and belligerent just because an idol is dating…because they do.
I’m Army too, and I’ve been hearing a lot of people say that they need to move in order to be happy, have partners, or produce music. I think it’s a pretty biased view. Korea is their home and they are immensely proud of it- and have said so often. I’ll be happy with whatever decisions they make, but I wouldn’t be surprised if they disagreed with the idea that moving is better. Yes, there are problems and crazy people, but those are everywhere; nowhere is perfect.
@deepestsleeep they say they don't but they do if they didn't they wouldn't treat them like that and they would mind they business but they don't celebrity's have no social life because so called fans think of them as property rather than human beings
@deepestsleeep Really? Yet financial figures say k-pop is a significant sk export and represents a significant part of the sk economy. If not for sk culture, k-pop in particular, many non-sk would know nothing about sk. Hmm, interesting
He was a cancelled artist back in 2020, he got a shadow ban due to a dispute with his ex company, SM entertainment, where he couldn't perform in TV and got discriminated in every events. Even a sexual voice chat with a consenting partner could be damaging to his reputation, let alone after his ex member, Yoochun, couldn't get back to the Korean entertainment industry after his drug case. Junsu is just being cautious, and now he got the courage to bring this case to the court because his and Jaejoong's ban already being lifted, and they reconciled with ex company which underwent management change, now they can even sing their old songs.
I wonder how people able to extort money out of me if they recorded conversations of me with my mother mostly discussing how disgusting the neighbors are and how to cook soup…
It is odd to keep paying if ya did nothing inappropriate.....if i was in such position I'd go to the police..... but glad she's caught and seems his career hasn't suffered
some people question why Junsu paid this amount doubting that those clips might be really fishy , not like that anyone who has a big name regardless artist or CEO and you have a good reputation but imagine he went to the police in all ways people will not believe Junsu because they are like that so he thought he might just solve this himself but when you are under fear and pressure your mind is actually is not functioning well and start even trying to defend yourself , and lets go back to what has been went through him and as DBSK it was not easy and many people tried to bring them down or their names they worked so hard , so to blame him paying that amount let them be in his situation they will do more without realizing. Imagine those clips that people want to see maybe that streamer is filming his parents house and know where are they working and they will hurt them, of course he will not think ,, and will pay, i wish there will be a big punishment for that streamer or anyone who threat someone for money, At first place if this streamer has something she will go and report it to the police not by collecting money, and I hope celebrities and all of us in general do not trust anyone or share our life with anyone thinking they are friends or close people. They need really to be careful
not into blackmailing and stuff but why made the first payment if what's recorded isn't damaging to his career in the first place???? Literally he was paying for four years??? I wouldn't pay a dime and reported the the police in the first place worse if I know that its a nonsense situation.... but he paid for so long...now I'm curious what was recorded??😅😂😂
it's a different situation for you and for him. He was a cancelled artist back in 2020, he got a shadow ban due to a dispute with his ex company, SM entertainment, where he couldn't perform in TV and got discriminated in every events. The recordings are Obviously Naked Pictures or Se* videos.... People around the world kill themselves if they are threatened...just few weeks ago a kid 16yrs killed himself in USA for similar thing........ But you just say it as simply as that......... Personally I wouldn't give a damn,I would tell him to release it... Even last week a Collge student in Manhattan her account was hacked when she broke with her boyfriend and all her pictures and videos have been taken..and person wants Money..she doesn't have....... She was interviewed by ABC in USA ....... Its Difficult for alot of people......
Hell, all he would have had to do is say he didn't like someone, the kpop community has canceled idols over far less. Including having once asked a question, and then reviving accusations bc of that question being tied to the POSSIBILITY they think in a way that a couple people don't agree with. Yeah. That's it. Fact is, EVERYONE MUST have absolutely NOTHING to dislike you for, or else you are automatically involved in a controversy, and if enough people don't agree with whatever that topic is, then yout reputation likely will never recover. You know, because an Idol saying that they dislike another idols and think they are rude, is FAR WORSE than the rampant cyber bully that leads to self termination, that those playing judge, jury, and executioner are most definitely guilty of. After all, idols "know what they were getting into when they became idols, in return for all the money and fame"... Because EVERYONE is so WELL PAID in kpop. Futhermore, of COURSE Idols most DEFINITELY want to be mistreated and knew this would happen when they entered into the industry... back when they were literal children and thought the world was a beautiful place. Yep, nailed it!... Truth is, regular conversation, likely FAR LESS AWFUL than the shit you or I say online all the time, would be enough to ruin his career. Hell, just having ADUIO OF HIM HAVING CONVERSATIONS WITH A FEMALE could be enough to end his career.
These kind of things keep happening and will keep happening due to the insane extreme cancel culture in SK and peoples fear of any tiny indiscretion or things being taken and twisted will be career ending.
Unfortunately SK have been westerned and copying the west ultra liberal ideas
Yup agreed 💯

I hope this actor gets justice and his money back. That scammer extortionist needs to be prosecuted! These incidents are to common!
I wonder how people able to extort money out of me if they recorded conversations of me with my mother mostly discussing how disgusting the neighbors are and how to cook soup…
I appreciate your screenshots for source on opinions
HOW DARE HE BLACKMAIL JUNSU
''SHE''...it's a woman. Typical!
There's so many similar incident happened past few years, still they don't learn their lesson. Why would you involve yourself with such people?
That’s crazy
It is odd to keep paying if ya did nothing inappropriate.....if i was in such position I'd go to the police..... but glad she's caught and seems his career hasn't suffered
It's unbelievable how this woman can do this 😮
Get her cops! GET HER! 😼👍

I wonder what he said that was bad enough he paid the blackmailer for so long.

only guilty people will submit to extortion...
Idk you but i wouldn't like my very private life put there for the public...
Nope not always but I understand why you would think so. People usually give in & pay just to stop the harassment.

@@aqe9352why would they want a meth head like yoochun, who tried to avoid military service, in the entertainment industry?
He must of said or did something Really Nutty to pay that type of💵
Red flag girl, toxic and playing the victim.
And I dont get why he gave money if he didnt do anything wrong...If youre guilt free, tell him to release the recording...Why submit to extortion?

What if it was something very very private? Think a little...
