Love or hate the 6.5 Creedmoor you can’t deny it’s inherent accuracy. Yes I own one.

I have been shooting a 25 creedmoor for over a year. Barltlien barrel 1/7.25 5r, Manners Stock A-1A, Impact action. Use 135 Bergers, ZC 5x27 scope. Five shot average lab radar 2986 fPS.
Best five shot group is .1330. using H4350. Use Alpha 25 creedmoor brass. Will shoot the milk jug at one mile outside of price Utah all day long. Love the caliber no recoil at all far superior than the 6.5 creedmoor.

That’s awesome! Thanks for sharing your experience! Do you think it’s better than the 6.5 because of the custom nature of the rifle, or do you think the cartridge is just better than the 6.5?

@@hopefulballistics I am far from ballistics expert, but my opinion you can run the 25 - 135 bullet at 2986 in the 25. There is no way you can run the 153.5 in 6,5 creedmoor over 2800 fps. Less recoil higher velocity at 1000 yds.less drop and less wind affect. The 147, 140, 135, and 130 for the 6.5 does not have as good BC,

If I was starting over, with the benefit of hindsight, I would get the cartridges I wish I had kept. With the addition of one more the 7X57 Mauser.
The ones I wish I had kept, 250 Savage and 6mm Remington. But I’m happy with what I have. And much of that is based on the availability of ammo and components, examples, 308 Winchester,
    6.5 Creedmoor and 223 Remington.

I have a 25 06 rem and love it. It's a Lazer beam with mild recoil. If you're asking me 243 or 25 06, it's not even close. The 25 Creedmoor is intriguing, simply because you can shoot the 135 grain bullets that have a very high BC. I would love to know the velocity and energy.

I’ve had a 25 creedmoor for several years and taken several deer with it. Has good energy even out to 350 yards. 131 blackjacks of course running about 2850-2930 fps. Could get hotter loads but not needed for accuracy.

Great video! Once a person has an AR15 or AR10 lower, you can pretty much have whatever short or standard cartridge gun you desire. Uppers don't require any more federal documentation, either! You hit on it. The difference is modern chamber design. It's the same idea as Bill Wylde developing the 223 Wylde for AR15s to give the platform more freebore and inherently more accuracy--or at least, that was the idea.
Companies are already making 22CM brass for reloaders and predator hunters are successfully using 22CM in the field in both bolt action and AR variants. 250AI brass must be made by fire forming 22-250 brass--basically shooting 22-250 brass to blow out the shoulder angle. So, there's a LOT of material support already for 22CM--I'd say factory loaded ammo in 22CM is coming very soon if it's not already in process at SAMI.
When I was growing up, the only cartridges I could get were made by Winchester, Remington and PMC--because that's what my crossroads store which sold Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Gasoline (E) sold...It was a model store for what the ATF should be..LOL. That's the reason I would never whistle past 308 and 30-06. Even a store 2 hours away from everything had those two cartridges in stock all year round. How would a Winchester rifle shoot chambered in 300Wby? Would it have the freebore that makes Weatherby Mark V rifles famous for accuracy?

Give me any center-fire rifle in any chambering and I will put deer or elk or moose on the table.. Shoot placement is the key. I've seen the 22 rimfire magnum kill many hogs and deer. The lowly 250 Savage and 30-30 is plenty powerful.

To pick only one company is definitely hard. I love 2.23 and 308 definitely my favorites but Hornady has is going on. For ultimate versatility hands down 204 Ruger varmint, 6cm predator and small deer, 7PRC (short, lite) deer and bear, 300prc long, mid weight) bigger deer and bear, 416 Ruger dangerous game and runaway zombie dump trucks.

I have shot a 25-06 for years and have said for years if you sped up the twist rate and made the bullets longer and heavier it would kill of the 6.5, and I do own both so don’t think I am kicking the 6.5, it’s a great cartridge doing what it was meant for.

🤠 My Second Choice as a company would be Horneday and the cartridge selection would be much more broad! My Cartridge Selection Would Include The Following - 204 Ruger, 6.5 Creedmore (It has more bullet/ammunition options than the 6 Creedmore, even though it is a cool cartridge!), 6.5 prc, 7mm prc, and the 375 Ruger!

🤠 If I were to pick the 3 Best cartridges, developed from 3 of the Biggest Manufacturers, it would be as follows: 270 (Winchester), 7mm prc (Horneday), and 7mm-08 (Remington)! Because I don't want the extra recoil, I would drop out the 7mm prc! Because I live out West, my choice would be the 270 Winchester! However, if I lived in a state with more forested areas, then the 7mm-08 would be my choice! 🤑

My go to favorite woods cartridge is the 308 Winchester my favorite open country cartridge is the 25/06! I’ve always been in favor of the 25/06 over the 270 because of the lighter recoil! I’ve killed everything with it or have seen everything killed with it that’s been killed with the 270. Proper bullets and good shot placement is all you need! Just comes down to a personal choice! I do think the 25 creedmoor would be a cool cartridge! Always heard really good things about the 250 savage

I would really like a 257 bob. But brass and ammo are very hard to find and expensive. I am thinking very hard about building a 25 Souper or a 25 creed. I wouldn't mind a 25-06 but I already have a 270 and I think the 25-06 needs a 24" barrel. So yes if the factory came out with a short action 25 cal with a 1-8 in twist I'd buy one.
