An evening video of our Halloween yard haunt located in Carol Stream, IL. It includes pumpkin scarecrows, a Flying Crank Ghost, a pnuematic ground breaker and more.....
my how far you guys have come! 10 years this Halloween since this was made and its still impressive, im not sure if there is a 2008 or 2007 video though
Thank you! Yes, a few years ago we made a 10 year compilation video and the change over the years is substantial. There are 2007 & 2008 videos posted; however, the quality (both the filming nd the display) are pretty poor.
Thanks! The cost, while not insignificant, might not be as bad as you think. We made almost all the props over a period of a few years. The window illusion is a video projected from inside -onto a shower curtain screen hanging in the window.
Thanks! Setup takes about 4 days and then it's upkeep through Halloween. Yes, we made the fence. We make almost all out props. We work on them all year long.
incredible stuff :D so inspired to make my own now :D so wished I lived in America I love Halloween! nice job on the hand made things adds a real nice touch to it all! :D SFTV
It is called beef netting. It is stretchy and I cut holes into it. It's reusable and I like the look. It can be ordered in quantity from Trenton Mills or can be purchased in smaller quantities on ebay.
I thought my display was pretty good, but this is awesome. I too like to build my own displays but I am not at the level of motion stuff. Building a horse drawn hearse this year, less the horses GREAT JOB.
Very nice. Huge yard. I like the pneumatic coffin at 2:50. You need to throw some fog chillers in there ; ) The band at the beginning is something you don't see everyday. I've seen something like it at an amusement park but not in a yard haunt display.
Thanks! The Zombie was a group build by the Haunt Club Chicago. It is a very beefed up version of the one designed by Casa Fear. Ours is made out of steel. You can see videos of his on RUclips - search for CasaFear1. The crypt is based on one designed by the Garage of Evil. If you go to the website, look under projects for B.A.P.U. I think there are some videos on RUclips as well. I ran out of time in learning to fully program it. Message me if you would like more info.
They are homemade spotlights made out of PVC tubes, bottle caps and LED's. They take very little electricity. I easily run them off of two Malibu light transformers.
Wow! My favorite 2009 Yard haunt vid so far. That song the Skeleton Band is rockin out to sounds catchy but I can't make it out. What's the song? The first song in the beginning not the Blue Oyster Cult song-o-rama at the end which I love too.
I didn't do any special wiring. Just took the blades off, turned it upside down and attached the wood to where the blades would normally go. On the electrical side, all i did was take an extension cord, cut off the female end and connect it to the wires of the fan as if I was installing it in a ceiling.
I use an Epson 77c projector; however, I believe much lower end projectors will work. I project onto a cheap white plastic shower curtain which I purchased from Wal Mart. Mark has a lot of information on his blog at hallowindow com
Awesome Haunt, I came back to watch this again. Your setup inspired me to take my setup to a bigger level back in 2010. If you could check out my 2011 haunt that would be fantastic and give me a few pointers. Thanks
Thanks! I projected a video called Hallowindow and it was a big hit. You can search RUclips for other videos of it or see more at Hallowindow . com. Mark does a great job with it.

Great job. So what kind of lights do you have facing the tombstones?
Nice job! I been slowly working on my graveyard but I have a long way to go. Little at a time I guess.
Great Job !!!

No, it was shot a couple weeks earlier. Too much was going on Halloween itself and I didn't get a video taken this year.
what I did was dress up as a dead manikin and when people walked past me i would jump up :D
are you making one this year?3 is great

Its a shame the pneumatics are so loud. It takes away from the display. Otherwise this was a creative and attractive display. Thumbs up for sure.
oh well i tried to make one similar but it didnt work out....how did u do the wiring?
where did you get that opening coffin
We made it out of plywood, insulating foam sheets and some pneumatics. Used plans posted on garageofevil . com
Wat kind of motor did you use for the carnival type ride at the end of the vid?
what is the white material?
At 3:09, that lady got in the shot. ha ha
make video that shows us how to decarate
nice:)
I used a ceiling fan motor
