It's a good one! The over 800 caves a few miles away are pretty cool as well…

That flat surface surrounding the outcropping that was formed by the wave action was interesting. I’ve only noticed wave action on banks of lakes as they dried up or changed elevations like North end of Owens Lake. Modoc Nation for such a small band were a tough and stubborn group.

No kidding! This wave-cut platform is similar to those seen on other tuff rings like Fort Rock in Oregon (future video topic there). There's even a few in DV/Panamint Valley but mostly in alluvial fans rather than bedrock.

Well done video! I'd love to see a video on the nearby Medicine Lake Volcano.

Thank you! I would also like to do a video on Medicine Lake, and plan to next time I'm in that area. I certainly wish I could spend more time in that area than I currently can!

AMong other things, Petroglyph Point tells the story of multiple eruptions of Mt. Shasta which can be seen in the distance.

This is a very impressive site, I kept feeling like I was going to be shot by a rancher on my way out there though.
