The gameplay is a mix of Assassin's Creed, Ghost of Tsushima, Nioh and Sekiro. This game is running in Team Ninja's propietary engine and looks amazing in PlayStation 5!

It is a working formular that has been tried many times. Even Genshin Impact does this.
There are two main characters. One is taken away (the one you don't choose) in the beginning, and the story is your journey to find the missing one.
Orthodox story : You find the missing character at the end. Credit rolls.
A story with a twist : The missing character turns out to be the main villain/mastermind behind the conspiracy.
A story with more twists : The missing character turns out to be the main villain but upon defeating him/her you find out about the real mastermind who caused this and go after it.
There’s a character creator in this game?

Cats also have some mechanism for surviving high falls, look it up. The mechanics are pretty interesting: "They can twist in midair so their feet are under them when they land. This reflex keeps them from grinding into the ground face first or back first. Plus, cats have no working clavicles, flexible backbones, powerful back legs, and low body weight. These things work together to minimize the impact of a fall."

@@daddyfatsacks7922I am also not interested in souls likes after trying many of them, I lack the skill and patience honestly. From what I have heard and read this game has 3 difficulty modes and the hardest diff is said to be equal to a normal Team Ninja game like Nioh so this ga,e should be much more approachable for those that don’t want the souls like crushing difficulty

This looks amazing. Love how you can combo the glider with the grapple hook that looked so sick.
Really curious as its rendered with the same engine as Nioh 1 and 2 but the textures and animations are sub par for what Nioh brought to the table.. 🧐🧐 wonder if they worried too much on performance issues as it seems the shadows, texturing and etc could have been polished more and the Ps5 could still handle it.
Definitely can’t wait to dig in to this

Gameplay will likely be different but how much really can it be. Both are melee samurai games with ranged elements. Certainly each will be its own thing but same setting/genre is same genre/setting regardless.
I’ll def play at some point once it’s not $70. (I refuse to pay full $70 price for games when either by the time I finally get around to playing it’s much cheaper, and I have tons of great games sitting on backlog at moment. I never even got around to GoW Ragnorok yet and it came with the damn PS5.

Some people only care about graphics. What about the Sound? I like what I’m hearing. Very immersive.
Graphics keep you immersed. They don't have to be the best or prettiest, but technically they need to be sound. The pop in is atrocious for a PS5 exclusive in 2024. It breaks immersion. It is the worse LOD load ins I have seen in a recent game.

A lot of games with graphics that are beautiful with 4k have some of the worst games I've ever played or are just boring. Like horizon dawn boring but beautiful but eh

Gameplay is what keeps you immersed. The graphics can be unearthly beautiful, but if the gameplay sucks, who cares how pretty it looks?

Ok horseback looks off. But as gameplay looks ok. I know everyone cares about the looks of everything. And every single glitch or pop. But it looks fun to play something new. And it will get patched day one of course. Feels fresh enough to buy. Im not gonna compare it to anything, rather enjoy the story they trying to tell.

The amount of people that instantly compare this to a game made by a completely different developer is crazy. Don’t be disappointed because you wanted ghost of Tsushima 2 from the team that brought you Nioh 1 and 2. I personally love the Niohs and can’t wait to play this. If you like ghost you might not like this game. Nioh games are known for more skill in combat.
But if you also liked Wo Long, you won't be disappointed by this either imho.🤙🏻

Some of us like both NIOH and Ghost, but we can still point out the difference in two games that are similar in the same genre.

It's not. The closest Team Ninja did with Sekiro's combat was Wo Long.

Just watched 15 seconds of this and paused to say if someone said this was ghost of Tsushima I wouldn’t disagree
So so many games coming out with this samurai style that not sure there going to be able to separate themselves.
I can think of at least five or so off top of head slated for next 12 months or so. If this one is first perhaps it won’t get caught up in the onslaught of similar genre titles. But then again, it’s competing with Dragon’s Dogma too.
Judging from the guns this is a 17th century setting, the graphics can be better but I have no complaints

It looks like the japanese version of Red Dead Redemption 2 and I approve. Just need to iron out the bugs (especially concerning the snappiness of movement which needs to be more fluid) and get the graphics a tad more modern and they're all good.

Trying to compare this to Ghost of Tsushima is like trying to compare the UFC games to Mortal Kombat. Both are fighting games, but one is more realistic and the other is clearly over the top.
I was on the fence on wether to get this or dragons dogma 2, ended up pre ordering the latter. I like team ninja games, but after Wo long fallen dynasty my confidence in them has waned a bit. I want to like this game but I’m just not feeling it.

All that has been shown in gameplay demos isn't the finished product. What we're seeing is the unpolished version, there's a patch coming on release day and they can do future updates to improve the game. All the little kids whining over the graphics don't deserve to play. Growing up graphics weren't a big deal just gaming all that mattered... but each generation of gamers brings new mentality.
