I bought this little model about a week ago (pre order here in the U.K.). To be honest I only bought it as a mini me as it has the same paint job as my 1.8 metre HSD SuperViper turbine. I love this little thing, it’s a chilled out great fun little throw about model.

The fair comparison would be between this and the E-flite Habu SS 50mm. Given what I've seen, I think the Habu edges out the Arrows but it is nice to have competition which helps drive innovation and price competition.
Cool edf but I cant help but be reminded of my 50mm Habu which has a rudder for about $20 more. Do prefer this color scheme though!

Great little jets at a solid price with included Vector (cough...Reflex) gyro. Arrows very recently released the L-39 as well which I have. Fantastic! Our club flies them all (L-39, Viper, BAE Hawk and T-33), so one of us idiots needs to get this one too! Nice to see a mini Avanti!

I had the Arrows 50mm BAe Hawk. The Vector voided my timer and made a horrible beeping sound, so I ripped it out and flew on a Simple Ar420. It still was hard to launch and gave me a hard time so I sold it.
Which transmitters could you bind it with ??? is there any cheaper transmitters that you could bind it with so it is budget friendly??

This looks like smaller version of a 64 mm freewing stinger i have...i bought my stinger 10 years ago,ended up crashing it do to bad esc was able to buy a complete new airframe and converted it to 4s ...very easy plane to launch and fly no gyro needed...

Dear, Saylors.
Would you consider the addition of a simple routine for showing us the characteristics of each model plane that you present us with? Such things like:
- power on stalls (flaps and gear down)
- power off stalls (flaps and gear down)
- power on stalls (flaps up, gear up)
- power off stalls (flaps and gear up)
- spin recovery (plus dive recovery as per spin recovery)
- power off glide ratio (no need to measure)
Personally, I look for scale characteristics in a scale flying model, I am going to get the E-flite 1.2 p-51 mustang, and was hoping one of you popular youtubers can adopt this routine to show us (those of us) which plane is overweight, or which ones are lightest for slower flying. I understand it's an awful lot to ask just for fun, and I'm sorry for the long message. Thank you for putting out great content, and showing me the best flying models i can get today.

Nate, the way I read it the Vector flight control module has three modes when you assign it to a three-position switch. I'm guessing you assigned it to a two-position switch which causes it to default to just two modes - auto leveling and flight stabilization. [the third mode is auto leveling and flight stabilization off] Correct me if I'm wrong.
Yes I believe you are spot on. Sort of like SAFE, AS3X, and Off. I’m fine with using only a two position switch for Vector. SAFE equivalent, and just off altogether! Hope this helps 👍😎❤️⚓️
All my models are defined with the 3-position "B" switch as the mode switch. If I were to get this plane then I'd have the 3 flight modes... no big deal.

Love your guy's videos. Do you have a recommendation for a lower priced transmitter? I want to get back into rc planes, but can't justify the cost of a Spektrum transmitter.
It’s so hard not to go with a Spektrum because of the ease of use with their BNF models. I’d strongly encourage you check out the used marketplace and still try to get Spektrum! Just too many good Eflite models, UMX etc… and it makes buying and selling used planes much easier too! Everyone wants that sacred BNF RX already in the plane when buying second hand. I hope this helps! Although, if you want new, things like Taranis, Tactic, or even FrSky/ FlySky make solid radios 👍💯😎❤️⚓️

@@hillview_tool @TheRcSaylors Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo. Hard to go past a Radiomaster TX16S with a 4-in-1 module. Can do spektrum, frsksy, futaba etc. Locking yourself into specktrum only radio would be a massive mistake. Spektrum is basically only a North American thing. So much else going on in the hobby.
Those 50mm. Arrows Jets will take a 4s battery. Just dont high speed the whole flight. Ovonic and rc hackers make great short little batteries that work great.
That looks and sounds really cool. Question 1: With a Pnp plane...what is a good radio to buy? Question 2: will the radio work with any Pnp plane? Ty
I had success with a Spektrum DX6E and Spektrum 4-channel receivers.
I only used 3S 1500 batteries. 4 minutes
If you prefer not to hand launch, MotionRC offers a 64mm Panther that works well with wheels and can easily takeoff and land from a parking lot on a 3S 1800.
With a PNP plane you supply the receiver and transmitter. So any 4 (or more) channel radio would work. Budget wise you can go very cheap, for ease of use Spektrum are good but quite expensive, however they often work with BNF (bind and fly - where you just bind it to your transmitter), for features at a good price look at radio master. But to work with any PNP plane you'd just need another receiver for each plane, one transmitter can be set up for many planes

I see absolutely no reason not to, as long as you know what you are getting into! It’s a great, budget friendly EDF. No rudder, so be aware of that, though it doesn’t really need rudder. Hand launches are pretty easy, just keep it at full throttle if you’re flying on a 2,200mah battery like I was! Let me know your thoughts after a couple flights!! 👍💯😎❤️⚓️

I understand it went active in September, I went into the web site to renew my registration and they had all these things you hve to do before you can renew, including remote ID. I am 76 years old now and really enjoyed flying around my own yard and the big field out back. I live in rual Pennsylvania, a long ways from any AMA fields, I have been enjoying my drones for 10 years. started out with a small drone flying around inside my house, then moved up through 6 other drones, now I have a Yuneec Q500 4K, the easyest drone to fly I have ever had. still only flying around my own property, but am now being regulated out of a very enjoyable hobby . in the 70s I flew a cessna 150 airplane and a Bell 47 G helicopter, infact I got my commercial licenses for the helicopter, and had fewer regulations on those than they do on these little plastic toys today. even ultralites aircraft that you can ride in ,have fewer regulations than these RC aircraft do today.
I guess I ill put my beautiful drone on the shelf and try RC trucks until they are regulated out of my reach also. Have a great day and stay well..@@TheRcSaylors

I want to love these smaller Sub 70mm jets, but I just don’t feel they fly anything like a jet.
I have a Futura 64mm and It’s a fun lil jet, but it just doesn’t “feel” like a jet.
Move up to 70mm. My FMS 6S Yak-130 flies like it has a turbine in it!

Nice jet. In ww2 Germany launched v2 rockets 🚀 on 80 degree or thereabouts slanted rail launcher. May 🐝 you could build one instead of hand launch, leaving you with an extra second or so with both hands on the controller. Plus it would look 😎. You could possibly use it on other hand launch only planes ❓️❓️. Would add some great visual. You ramp ground vehicle's why not ramp planes. I've seen you flare better Nate that had more 👃👃.😄😄😄😄. ⚓️⚓️👍🧡💛💚👍🚀🐝👃😎😄👍⚓️⚓️.
