How are you getting the wood grain to be so defined and rough? I know oak is naturally very deep grain but i would love to emulate this look. It looks like you do a rough sanding pass but i feel like that would knock down the harder grain as well as the soft.
Awesome bro! What is the oil you treat the mask with in the end? Im making a deku mask from zelda and cant quite get the finish right
This is a common wood oil. I bought it in a paint and varnish store on tap.
