@@mldarling actually flag is very important, it’s not just dancing. Winter guard has more dancing than color guard but it IS important to practice with flag
I do this for fun and that is one of my favorite tricks. The worst part is I don't have a flag so I do it with a broom. I have this trick where I twirl it in the air, spin around or do a jump and catch it. It's super fun and one of the easiest sports for me to do. We don't have a flag line though.
My color guard captain did it for a solo in the end of the song for marching season, and is now doing it at the end of our song during winter season

it’s similar to an “open to the sun” kinda 45. U switch ur hand at the last second and then throw it

I give to do an around the body 45 and this has the same release point so hopefully this will help lolll the mental block is real rn 😅

When I was doing this in my show right before I went on to perform I gave myself a black eye lol. Still went on but good lord did it hurt
In my colorguard the 45 toss looks more like a horizontal toss
