One of the best and most knowledgable trainers in the game. The hate on this site is staggering. I would suggest to those that have only hatred to spew out ,try reading a book to educate yourselves. The trainers in this game very often are the only family that boxers have. And most times they give 1000 % of their time and energies to many boxers that will not go ANYWHERE. A man like Abel deserves his RESPECT, he's earned it. So before all you blood hounds try to find ways to hurl insults at this man , perhaps try being nice for a while ,you might actually evolve into a human being.

@ Raul Ayala Unfortunately it's the internet my friend. Everyone without knowledge can say anything and many take it as a fact. To often we see how people look to say anything negative and by saying it they think they're very bright. Boxing is a very very tough sport ,and those that hate on a man like Abel do not have any understanding how much a trainer must go through in this sport. A trainer actually works harder with much less rewards than a boxer. The most UNDER RATER men in the game are the trainers like Abel. They really are the ones that keep boxing alive.
well said, I also wanted to add that even if boxers dont go to top level and quit boxing after so much time and energy invested in them, they still become better human beings, more educated, with m ore knowledge in live and boxing which then they can pass on to their children or students. I myself did boxing when I was 15 and to this day remember everything my coaches toaught me and it really helps me to this day. I can go outside for a run and some exercises and still remember all the boxing exercises I was taught. just a very nice feeling and proud I did boxing for some short time. And I actually know what it likes to be hit in the head or body therefore I give major respect to those who do that for a living. this is a very dangerous business and you can get some major traumas after u quit.

Radio Rahiem as become my favorite boxing interviewer over the last few years. I want to see him get a little tougher with his questioning but he does better then all the other interviewers.
Trainers should train, promoters should promote, boxers should box and learn, fights should be made.

Do THE RiGHT Thing Robinson my favorite of all time he was so great he fought the lightweight champ of the world out boxed him for 13 round as he walked to his corner he collapsed from dehydration.. It was so hot they changed the ref in the 10th round cuz he was gona collapse.. Robinson started lightweight awesome n simply the best in my opinion no1 has ballz these days n greatness to do those things

Muaath Najib I just wanna mention that I am fan of Jacobs but when you compare resumes, GGG is better. I mean Jacobs rematched Sergio Mora after he already knocked him out! Besides the Quillin fight, Jacobs hasn't done anything to raise his status in boxing. On the other hand, GGG has most of the belts and it is widely recognized that other fighters are actively avoiding him. Canelo dropped the WBC belt and left middleweight, Saunders pretends GGG doesn't exist, Eubank outpriced himself (according to his own promoter which happens to be same promoter as Brook) and Jacobs dares to call himself the WBA champion when GGG hold the real belt. So please let's talk about boxing objectively. Jacobs delays the fight because GGG is the real deal.
On another note, I know Ward would destroy GGG but that's another story.
1-First of all ggg INHERITED most of his belts from canelhoe. Its not like he became undisputed by knocking out all the champs in his division in the ring.
2-when you complain "no one will fight me"but literally every single time you talk or negotiate some bs happens then YOU are the problem. Its called being the common denominator. Ggg just wants the money, otherwise hed call these guys bluffs and just take the fights to get his name out there. But he wont. That tells me everything.
3-dannys best wins are quillin and mora 2x.
Ggg's best wins are lemiux, a vacant belt holder, and brook, a goddamn welterweight with only 1 good win. Their resumes arent that glaringly different honestly. Ggg might do better numbers in stadium ticket sales but he acts like he's alreadt mayweather status.

You didn't address one of my points that Jacobs calls himself champion but only holds a secondary belt.
