Edwin Evers Fishing found a little hump with shell on top of it last summer. Was good for at least one good one every Wednesday night for our tournament. Hasn’t been productive yet this year. But we’re in Ohio so our patterns are behind a lot of the country most of the time.
Just had a weekend tournament on Kentucky Lake and it was SLOW. Most every bite we had though came on hard spots regardless of shallow or offshore. Local lake usually treats us really well on hard spots on our Wednesday nighters but not yet. They’re very slow getting out there this year here near northern Kentucky.
These are consistently the best educational videos anywhere! Thank you for doing them! And I appreciate these videos aren't just infomercials like some people put out!
Your videos are the best. Full of great information and visual content. Thank you for taking the time to teach so many people. I have learned so much from you.
You are just so happy! I can’t help but want to fish when I watch & listen to you go through your processes. Whoever disliked this video was just jealous that they didn’t have as much fun fishin’ hard spots with a Carolina rig as E2!
Great video Edwin. I am loving this E series of videos. I am learning so much and I appreciate you sharing like you are. Good luck on your next tournament.
Hello Edwin, just wanted to drop a line and say that your project e is absolutely top notch!!! With all the detail you cover, i have been helped in several angles of my time on the water. Thanks a bunch and i look forward to what is yet to come👊. God bless you buddy!
Thanks for the info Edwin. I enjoy and look forward to your videos. They are very informative. I just installed a Lowrance HDS 12 gen 3 on my boat. It’s not the new live, but I would love to know how you set your settings. I hope to see that soon. Looking forward to your next video on computer usage to find the spots. Be safe and well.
Great information on what you were doing and how to find those hard spots. I was interested in a little more info on your Carolina rig setup. Line(s) sizes and rod actions and lengths. Thanks for the videos. I enjoy watching them!
Great vid, that lake is in my backyard. There is some deeper water with a lot bigger fish, JT should of filled you in better. Love that your here in Florida.
Thank you for awesome videos. They motivates me to relocate to the US from Russia and become a pro angler. I will make all efforts to realize my dream. Hope meet you sometime and shake your hand
Great video! I know numerous areas in my home lake that have transitions like this, I dont fish them. I cant wait to get out and see what I can come up with!
@@EdwinEversfishing today was epic! I fished shallow and decided to switch and try your technique. I fished a drop that has a shelve on it and hooked at least an 8 pounder which would be a pb for me. Unfortunately I had a square bill caught in my net and nerves got the best of me and I lost it. I'm crushed but your video was the guide where to look. Thanks for the info!
Great video! First time I have seen someone explain what to look for on a fish finder in the more subtle changes. Very informative! Will be watching for that one in a few weeks.....
Great video I wish you would incorporate your navionics map to show what tells you what spot to look at instead of idling around the whole lake Great stuff though edwin I love your videos
Your videos are absolutely top quality..........I'm trying to improve my use in electronics and fishing off shore and this video really shows how subtle changes to the image can lead to success and more fun on the water... Thank you for sharing....!!!
I'm a few years into using my new Humminbirds and this will help immensely. About all of my lakes are northern natural lakes with lots of weeds. if I can recognize whats out deeper then that ought to help. Thanks Edwin; Good luck on the tour.
Your You Tube videos are great educational material. Thanks Edwin! On this "Hard Spots" video do you "idle, idle, idle" and look for fish once you find these spots before wetting a line as you suggested in a previous video, or do you have to just fish every hard spot you find hoping to connect?
Great video, not a lot of people throw a C-rig anymore. If you can, it would be helpful to put your setups in the description or go over it in the video. Keep up the good videos, they are very informative.
Are use the 7‘6“ carbon light medium heavy moderate action rod with a 8.3 to 1 gear ratio reel. I generally set it up with 17 to 20 pound flourcarbon mainline.
Thanks for the tips Edwin. This will definitely come in handy. That looks like the same lake you filmed The Bass Pros on throwing the red square bill and teaching us how to fish fence rows. Always pulling for you to win!!!!!
Carolina rig is an old school standby, but I just can't stand throwing the dang thing. Some times you just can't beat that weightless piece of plastic gliding around behind that big weight.
Thanks for the info. Any video on how to work your locators is great. Not a lot of info out there on them. Even the manuals aren’t helpful. You and the MLF is what got me fired up about bass fishing. I’m not any good at it. But I keep casting.
I definitely will be doing all I can with depth finders in the coming videos. Thank you for watching and the nice comments. That’s the thing about Bass fishing you never stop learning and we all started somewhere.
It's 64 degrees and overcast compared to 90 here on Hartwell. Caught a limit early this morning. Had five within first hour. Felt like you for min during the forest wood last year
This is great advise thanks, i am learning so much! Does that color change for the bottom also hold true for down imaging? I don't have side scan (yet!).
Very good vid and informative. I love looking off shore but drove right by those places looking for jagged hard drops or other big changes thanks a ton i will be looking for different stuff now. Thanks again
Edwin, I would like to see a video on how you have your electronics hooked up. Is it straight to the starter battery or to its own dedicated battery just for your graphs, power poles , etc... Thankx
Awesome video as always. Don’t crucify me but I can’t make myself watch MLF. It was great as an auxiliary to everything else going on but not as a primary setting. Tournament fishing for the best 5 is what nearly all regular tournament anglers relate to. That’s why I’m glad I found your channel, you were probably my favorite to watch on the elite series because after you got it done you’d explain everything in great detail like nobody else could. I marshaled several times on Kentucky lake for the elites and was always hoping I’d get you but never did. Hope you and your family are doing well. Looking forward to you pumping out many more videos on here.
Thank you all for watching! What good/bad luck have you had on hard spots lately? Let me know in the comments below! 👇👇

Excellent video. Just what I was looking for. Keep up the good work.

I don’t know about that but I am enjoying doing them. Thank you for the comments
Fantastic information. I will be using this in my tournament this weekend. Thanks.
Good luck!
I’m so glad I found your channel. The sign of a great teacher is how you can explain and breakdown topics in easily understandable ways.

Great video. As a Bridgeport kid, it’d be cool if you ever did some vids out here!
Project E is the gas

Great video I wish you would incorporate your navionics map to show what tells you what spot to look at instead of idling around the whole lake
Great stuff though edwin I love your videos
Thank you for the feedback, will probably incorporate navionics in future videos.

Great video. What soft plastic jerk bait were you using on the Carolina rig?
I always looked for big spots....love the views from your graph too!! helps a ton
Thank you Phillip

Thank you!
What size rod and power are you using for the Carolina rig? Thanks. Great video and tips!

Love the videos. I do wish there would have been more video and maybe better angle of graph as that was the important part of the video for me
Thank you for the feedback

Great Video, I do not have the side scan, any chance that you can cover the same topic with downscan ?
This is the type of stuff I love. Great channel. Can't wait to see some more electronic videos from you.
Thank you for the comments I got more coming!
Like to see you and get info on deep post cranking..
Thanks for the info. Any video on how to work your locators is great. Not a lot of info out there on them. Even the manuals aren’t helpful. You and the MLF is what got me fired up about bass fishing. I’m not any good at it. But I keep casting.

Thank You , Mr. Evers - keep them coming
Awesome video with great explanation. Thank you!!
Thank you!
Great information love your channel
Thanks for the help, E! This helps a ton!
Hey Edwin, thank you for the great videos. Would you this hard spot pattern carries over well to natural lakes up north, say in the northeast?
Great video! I’ve been struggling with offshore fishing lately.
It's 64 degrees and overcast compared to 90 here on Hartwell. Caught a limit early this morning. Had five within first hour. Felt like you for min during the forest wood last year
Great video. How do you find hard spots if you don’t have side scan? Thank you for video great job sir
The best way is to cast a football jig or Carolina rig out there and explore the bottom as you fish along.
Thanks sir will toss it around. Are hard spots deeper than 15 foot as good. You know are bluffs on Hudson Oklahoma
Love the vids E!! Keep em coming my friend. God bless!
Thank you Mike.
Love the how to find bass xontent
Thanks, I have idled over thousands of these spots and never thought to fish them.
See you in a few days!

Edwin, I would like to see a video on how you have your electronics hooked up. Is it straight to the starter battery or to its own dedicated battery just for your graphs, power poles , etc... Thankx
How do you set up your screen like that? (Left side, down scan, right side)
Honestly, I'm pretty interested in the bait you have hanging at 0:43 bottom left corner of screen! LOL....oh, btw, I SUBSCRIBED this morning!
Edwin great information for finding bass on hard cover.
Thank you Mike
Can you find fish on the same spot in the hot summer time. Henry
Yes absolutely!
Edwin if you could only use one line type; what would it be? Fluro, braid, mono?
Flourcarbon. Thank you for the question , it’s just the most versatile and all around
So you use structure scan to determine hard bottom?
I use structure scan to see the color change!
You might think about transferring your screen to screen shots so it easier to view on the utube screen.
Mr Edwin what is your favorite cover to fish?
Probably grass
When E2 grits his teeth Look Out...
Edwin I have always thought the hard spots possibly hold crawfish or life of some sort that the bass key in on. What are your thoughts on that?
Yes I agree. I believe it’s easier for a bass to eat them on those hard spots versus mud.
Great video! Hard stuff rocks a lot of PBs ! #AlwaysBeRecording #YOLOtekPhotoBomb #YOLOteking
