Brother, Where is one on this pattern. The 1st 2 notes starting with your tumba feel Ike pick up notes. I feel it on the 3rd note played on the quinto.
Caballo is a rhythm pattern. The timbales does a specific thing as well. When you do pachanga on the timbales it is not the same as when you do caballo on the timbales.

In The 1930's Compay Segundo recorded a tune Called a Caballo Vamos pal monte and due to the beat someone yield A caballo and it stuck forever. IT is the pattern of the Bongo ( Martillo) played on the Conga drum. When the timbales are add to play what is known as Pachanga it is played in Double time Yet the conga drum plays the pattern of the Bongos Martillo. THis is some thing adapted to many Charangas Orquesta. It is the same concept that many people have Regarding Charanga and Pachanga
@@cuquito717 charanga is not a rhythm. Its a type Orchestra. People called charangas some songs but it was more of a marketing term. And you just explained how the rhythm got its name. I think you are thinking Im using the word rhythm as in genre of music. It is just a rhythm pattern.

There is also the Baqueteo another issue that many confuse it with the way that the Danzon is played yet its a Pattern played on the side of The Bongo. There are so many mistakes that today's youth is inventing today that it is unbelievable. I am today retired and many of the things I hear just drive me crazy because all is so wrong yet to many it Right and the youth that see things like this think that its correct

This is Pachanga no such rhythm as caballo.
That's not pachanga 😂 this is ritmo acaballo or caballo. Pachanga is in the son/tumbao family of ritmo. This u hear mostly in Dominican merengue.
