can someone explain to me why people use elemental gems in their physical dps weapons. the elemental portion is always less than the physical on 100% of hits. even with everyone running full onyx
To split your dmg in more sources, to make it harder for enemies to build resist. For example full thrust dmg is easily to build agonist, but if you split half in lets say arcane with gem and then also have Nature attunement..overall youll do more dmg then if it would be full wep dmg only.

Thanks you, I appreciate you watching! I have recently moved down to running just 2 leeching gems and it is a noticeable difference in what my self heals are. With that, I would assume they do stack, but I play solo 99.5% of the time, so I've never really tested it 1v1 to see what the actual numbers are. I have a friend jumping on the game this week and ill try to get some test done. As far as ele gems in the gs, i've had really good luck with the nature gem (but i also put nature dmg gems in my armor with the 2 leeching) and I've also seen dex users using sapphires as well. I've seen a few mage/gs build where they used the ice/fire gems to go along with the builds and seemed to work nicely.
