I know, it's one of the things that bothers me about the production of the show, at times it's just so lazy! It was only a small role so why didn't they just cast someone who looked more like the stunt driver? So lame...
Viewers back then might not have even caught such details. Gotta remember back when this show was made, people were probably watching on a 19 inch (maybe even still black and white) standard definition TV.

One question, did Lynda ever comment on whether she gained weight during the first season and for the second season she lost weight, but towards the end of the second season and all of the third season did she gain weight? I ask because Lynda had a different face each season and her outfit in the third season seemed tighter. It is not to offend the actress, it is only a doubt.

This scene always seemed a little strange to me. The crane operator seemed completely unfazed seeing a woman in a star-spangled revealing costume jumping high in the air onto the load he was lifting. Even if Wonder Woman was supposedly well known by this time, you think he would be a little surprised seeing her. Instead, he just signals "okay" and uses the crane to lift her higher when she signals. I wonder if the crane operator was just an actual crane operator they had hired for the day and offered to give him a chance to be in the show.
I agree it's kind of odd, but I always just took it that she was well-known by the general public at this point and that the average Joe would know that they should help her if asked.
He did what she asked because they know how powerful dte is and to not do it would be futile
