Gizmo the Pet Rat and Jinx the Cat hanging out

Gizmo the fancy rat and Jinx the cat loved hanging out together. JInx was a feral kitten I rescued from a snow storm. I brought him into the space where I kept my rat cages. This was before I started letting my rats free roam. I had noticed Jinx going up to the rat cages and smelling noses with the rats. Neither seemed too upset.
Months later, when I started letting the rats free roam, I noticed right away the cat and the rats were friends, especially Gizmo the rat. Gizmo did not like the other rats and stayed mostly in the bottom of the cage. The other rats liked the top. Gizmo was smelling noses with Jinx more than the other rats. Gizmo and Jinx would spend time sitting on a hassock together watching out the window at nature.
