Your CPU count should be double your core count so in this case 16 not 8, Arma reads your logical processor count. Devs have confirmed this many times on the BI Forums.
It is such a weird game, I spend more time getting mods to work and finding the best balance of gameplay, but i guess that's half the fun. Graphic wise, one day it can suddenly look incredible then you touch something you shouldn't, and it suddenly looks & plays awful. Still, there is no other game with the sheer amount of modded content and peoples talent that have put their best art & scripts in for the community to enjoy. Once you find the sweet spot, it's awesome. I have to confess I actually bought a laptop with a discrete graphics unit especially to play it as my previous machines just couldn't run it except on low settings. The mods just keep getting better, too. I just wish I could find a way to stop bloody bug eyed csat mugs showing up in my recon ops missions ! As soon as I see the words pick up Katiba 6.5 I know its game over. Sometimes the best addons are little mods that tweak small things like Anzacs extended grass or the lighting tweaks. I have used Lambs ai and Vcom for years. Controlling an ai squad, which is another great arma feature that makes it stand out...when they work properly and not drive like they have been drinking for 3 days straight !
Just thought I’d put this here because I was having very low gpu usage and it might help others, but I increased my sampling to 200% and gpu usage went to 99 100% usage and fps increased majorly as well. My system is ryzen 5 3600 rtx 2060 with 16gigs ram
i am running like 200-300mods but not reduce it to 90 but not all of them have been removed. its just merge. i have 60+++gb of mods in 1 folder lol do you think this can help my problem with fps?
