Oh my this is beautiful!! I haven't tried sand mixes yet, I think I will have to now! There is a lot of dimension and that makes this BEAUTIFUL!!! Awesome work!
Thank you so much! :) I just started playing with sand in my mixes, and I love it. The only thing is when I mix in the acrylic I add a little more because the sand is thick and chunky. Thank you for your kind words! :) TFW
Thank you so much! How have you been? It's been awhile since our swap, lol. Hope you had a Merry Christmas :) Wishing you all the best for the New Year!
Thank you! I got mine on Amazon, I just typed in "neon craft sand". They sell it at craft stores too, like Michaels. The set I got came with 7 colors for about 20 bucks, for huge jars. Hope that helps! TFW :)

Hey! i love love love the sand mix thing! my question is: what makes sand SO good? only thing ive heard is that you dont have to use a lot of it for it to go a long way or something like that? Idk im just in search of info lol i like it but id LOVE some more info on the hype over it besides it lookin so pretty :)
You can use the any mix to cover the whole nail, i would recommend using a finer mix for better coverage but other then that it should work fine. In one of my video's called "Pink Zebra Acrylic Nails" I covered the ring finger, you can check it out if you are interested. It's only a slide show but it might help you picture it. :) Thanks again!
I got that one at my local Dollar Tree, I have seen similar ones at Target in the area where you get Glad containers. Hope that helps, thank you for watching! :)
Yes, that one does (Glaze N Go by NSI), but at Sally's they have one that cures under a regular light bulb (I used it in my frog nail video). I don't remember the brand name off the top of my head, but I thought it was a good alliterative to the ones you have to cure in a UV lamp. Hope that helps & thank you for watching! :)
I like sand because it gives the mix a different texture, rather then using glitter alone. It comes in wonderful colors, and makes a great filler (glitter can get a little spendy). One thing to keep in mind is that when mixing sand and acrylic, you may need to add a bit more acrylic because the sand is so chunky. Other then that it really works the same way as glitter. Hope that helps and thank you for watching :)
Thank you so much! I have not gotten any bleeding with the 2 brands of sand I have Creatology & Hands On Fun. Hands On Fun I got online at Amazon (dot) com and Creatology I get from Michaels Craft Store (but is only carried in the summer). Hope that helps, thank you for watching! :)
Your total mix (sand & glitters mixed together) should equal 1 teaspoon to 1 /12 teaspoons . The mix can have almost anything in it, all glitter, sand & glitters but it is always considered a "mix" that you end up mixing with the acrylic, you don't count each item in the mix, you just count the mix as a whole. Hope that cleared it up for you, if you have any more questions let me know :) TFW
Hi, and thank you. I have the fingers that the nail tip slide into the finger itself, that way I don't have to mess with glueing it on or worrying about it slipping off. I buy them at Nailiteinc . com for about $0.25 cents each. Hope that helps, thank you for watching! :) Also, I have a video where I show all the different types of practice fingers/items I use. You can look it up on my page if you are interested or I can PM it to you. Take care, Ariana.
Oh, I'm sorry, I forgot I had music on this video (I was replying from my phone and couldn't see the information from the video). The song is called "The Funny Bird" by Mercury Rev. Again so sorry and Thank you for watching! :)
For me it depends on how chunky the mix is. For example, with sand mixes or very chunky glitter mixes I usually do 1 part mix to 1 1/2 parts acrylic (if it's SUPER chunky I'll add 2 parts acrylic to 1 part mix). For more fine mixes, I usually do equal parts mix to equal parts acrylic. Hope that helps, thank you for watching! :)

I do anywhere from 1 teaspoon to 1 1/2 teaspoons of glitter/sand for 2 teaspoons of acrylic. That's the mix ratio that usually works for me, but some people like it more chunky and would mix equal parts. I would play around with it until you find the right mix for you. Hope that helps! Thank you for watching :)
In this video I'm using Glaze N Go by NSI, but right now I'm using OPI AXXIUM UV topcoat for acrylics and for my natural nails "essence" brand, called "gel-like topcoat". It's a regular polish topcoat but has a high shine similar to a gel topcoat. THank you for watching! :)
No, I wouldn't say they work differently, other then the fact that they are a bit chunkier/thinker and need more acrylic. When using a sand mix I use 2 parts mix to 3 parts acrylic, with glitter mixes I use equal parts. Hope that helps & thank you for watching! :)
WOW,That mix is beautiful,thanks for sharing .

@onlyjustdee Yes by adding too much glitter it does it weaker so its always better if used on the tip:))
Nice mix.

Please Reply!!! Where did you get the little jars of iridescent glitter dots with the blue labels???

Most of it I got from craft stores or online, and the rest is from swaps I have done. Thank you for watching! :)
@Nina831Cali Thank you so much !!! :)
A pretty glitter mix would look awesome on natural nails.
Sure think, I'll inbox you here shortly. :)
I got those at Michaels craft store in the children's craft area, the brand name is "Creatology". Hope that helps, thank you for watching! :)
sorry i am new to this so are you saying with the sand and glitter should equal to 1 1/2tsp or 1 1/2 of the sand and 1 1/2 for the glitter

Thank you so much! The song is called "The Funny Bird" by Mercury RevRock. Thank you for watching! :)
