If may daily commute is only 3 miles, I would sell the car and buy a trailer for the e-bike, so big shopping is still possible. What trailer is a good match for your engwe ep2 ?
I'm not sure, as I have never thought about a trailer.

I drive, ride motorcycle and cycle. I cycle for fitness and to help the environment. When I cycle I would welcome a 20 mph limit in the area I live in. There are so many selfish numpties driving cars these days who care little for other road users, particularly cyclists and pedestrians, especially during and after heavy rain, they think nothing of spraying you with filthy road water, it's usually Audi and BMW drivers but not always. I will vote for 20mph limits in built up areas for this reason.

i have seen standard bike go 24 mph . i have gone downhill at 30mph in my younger days is this this speed limit for non ebikes ??
I'm sure the law in the UK has no speed limit for normal bikes as Speed limits are not set for cyclists on public roads. Seeing as they don't have to have a speedometer there is strictly no law.

I have noticed that some of our speed limits are 23mph 😂😂.
I can think of better things to spend £32m on, maybe filling in the pot holes.

I am from London... "20's plenty" and lot of similar bullsh!t. It literally causes so much headache (traffic jam, increased pollution and higher maintenance cost of vehicles) that they started to remove them from certain roads and revert back to 30mph. No, not vandalism... legally. I would argue with your comment "if you cannot stay at 20mph handle your license in"... my 1000cc bike does 13-14mph in 1st gear on idle! Yes, it can be difficoult to stay at 20, especialy when you start to boil your engine due to the lack of air flow through you radiator. ohh and let's not forget about this beautiful ULEZ... because pollution is important - let us save the World! :) I appreciate the content but there is way more to this than an 8min video discussing your daily commute in a car.
Average speed in London 8.7 mph to 7.1 mph in central London; 12.5 mph to 11.6 mph in inner London; 20.3 mph to 19.3 mph in outer London.
London is full of traffic but you find it difficult to stay at 20mph.
Those speeds include all traffic(cyclists, dust trucks, road sweepers, etc...) also, this is day time data, in the early morning hours and late afternoons there is lot less traffic.
@@songoku7100 my point is you say it's difficult to ride at 20mph but traffic can make it much slower. So even before the 20mph was put in place you would have to negotiate slow speeds.
Speed limits currently don't include cyclists on any public roads (apart from privately owned parkland, etc, with separate bylaws for cyclists)
So when labour gets back into power over the next year or two and introduce 20 limits for everywhere UK wide, try not to be too upset when you're getting overtaken by push bikes on a daily basis while your motorbike is overheating and getting damaged by the new uk speed limit for urban areas.
Realistically, the only way you'll be able to take your motorbike anywhere is to walk it to the edge of town and ride it till you get to the next town or city

I used to try to catch cars on my regular bicycle. Where I am now is a lot of scooter traffic. I am seriously old and a lot of health problems but I do pass them occasionally or hold my own. If I switched to an E-bike no problem passing. 20 mph- get out of my way -it’s my road

Why do speed limits not apply to cyclists?
Motor vehicle speed limits were introduced in 1903 and set at 20mph. After this limit was routinely breached, the speed limit in towns was changed to 30mph in 1934. Since then there have been no amendments enacted to make cyclists also adhere to the same regulations.

I find with these speed bump where I live the bump isn't well there is a gap to the side walk. So when I'm on my bike I can keep at same speed and go through the gap I look in my mirror and car behind look like a match stick. So I've got advantage when it comes to some speed bumps. 20mph in a car is boring. I find as a driver for 55years specially women can't judge a gap or park up properly and some male. On test it should be traffic cones placed with a gap bit wider than a car and have to drive through the fap at 30mph. If you brake before the gap I would fail the driver that should be employed
If I am on my bike where I live I am always faster than cars, as like you said I can ovoid most speed bumps by going to the side.
It doesn't affect you so why bother making a video,if you never go over 20 by mistake you must be the best driver in the world,as everyone thinks they are.

Not lying at all. If I took those speed bumps at 20 every day then I would be going through a lot of broken springs. I don't get angry at people slowing for speed bumps, do you ?
Speed bumps are made to allow traffic to ride over them at up to 23mph without damage of any sort to the vehicle. I have i stalled sppedhumps and done the facts course.

23 mph would have the car bouncing all over the place. If you want to go over them at speed then crack on, if you are behind me then tough luck 👍
