For those who the 3d option doesn't work, check if your graphic card supports opencl, if it doesn't you wont be able to use 3d. the only way to use it, it's by updating your graphic card(if your card is from 2011/2012 or inferior it doesn't work) or get a new one. unfortunately my laptop is old so i can't use 3d and i don't have money for a new one

After rendering, my background color does not change accurately (full background color) just change the 3d text or icon background-color. what is that problem

Bro .you have to install Extended Version of Photoshop cs6 .YOU ARE currently using Photoshop CS6 Regular version and in that version there is no 3D Features :)

Use Magic Eraser Tool to remove White Background from Logo .it will make your image transparent

Maybe it's a stupid question .. but I dont have the "Adjustments" menu in the top right next to "Properties" like you have .. so I cant finish the project playing with colours like you do .. how do I add that if there is a way ?
No its ok to ask about any problem .
well if you somehow closed the Adjustments panel .its very simple to get it back.there are two ways
one way is to Click on Windows over the menu in Photoshop and you will see Adjustments .click on it and you will get it back.
Second way is Just click on Windows>Workspace>Reset
I do not have the "diffuse option" under 3D properties, only seeing Base Color and Interior Color, no Diffusion.

Is there any solution to the "noise" that appears in the background in CC? I realize you used cs6, just wondering if there is anything that can be done with the grainy background on CC?

The background doesn't change colors for me, only the 3D object. I did it exactly like in the video, white background which I merged with the object.

hi! this tutorial is amazing to follow but i'm having one problem when it comes to rendering, the shadows get very grainy and it looks awful, i did research and found you can change your 3D preferences to make it work, but with more research found that 3D preferences doesn't exist anymore. any idea how to get rid of the grain? or maybe find 3D preferences somewhere?
Let the Photoshop Complete the Rendering .in start it will show the grain.it will take a lots of time to complete the render :).just as i showed in this video. Sadly Photoshop is very slow in 3D Rendering

Hi i have the same exact problem, the rendering is done but it remains grainy and my background is white...I just can't understand why and what it would be the quality of the image at the end. Cause I would like to use it as a logo that will be printed on a big board
after you put to zero the lightness in hue.saturation in went back to color blue. how did you do that? mine didnt revert back to its color
when i click on New 3d extrusion. it just say Could not complete your request because the path is too complex? i just did everything right exactly like you.
bro you have created very small and complex paths. that's why this error is coming.first try on simple text and after that create big paths with you desired shapes.

i am using the latest photoshop 2018 version but when i am changing the colour balnce it is not changing the background instead it is changing the shadow of the image
i still have the same white background when i rendered it so the saturation didnt do anything

When I go to add the hue effect post-render it doesn't have the same effect as yours. The glow doesn't appear at all for some reason. Would you know why?

have you ever had the program crash while it was rendering? i think mine has, or its still rendering...
If you see that it is saying that Program not responding it means you have less Ram or you are running more than one big process.so i will suggest while you render the Scene just close any other program .let just Photoshop use all the Resources :) Thank you

When I try to make the image bigger, I drag a corner of the image out (with the little dot) but it stretches the image up and out. I just want to make the image bigger, keeping it with the same side proportions. Can I get some help?!
Press Shift+Alt and then drag the corner.
or
Press and hold Shift from the keyboard and then drag the corner :)
it will maintain everything as it is and let you enlarge the size of the image :)

brother watch carefully everything is cleared.to reduce extrusion Go to the Properties and Select the Text there will be a slider named Extrusion Depth.from there you can reduce or Increase the amount.
