When I hit my 40s, my health really went kind of nuts. I started becoming deficient in B12, which hits your energy HARD! I take B12 supplements that help tremendously. We checked my levels with a blood test... my doctor was helpful in getting a full blood panel to figure that stuff out. A lot happens to us in our 40s as women... it's tough!
So I felt like this was a “get to know Frances” video and I loved it ❤! We are both in the ponytail gang okay, but I do treat myself every other month to a different hairstyle. My biggest fail that God is helping me fix is letting my five kids dictate our day. We are aggressively getting back into routines and schedules. Shh! I hide in my room and pretend to get dress as well! I also “leave” my pocketbook in the car so I can get a break 😂.
lol…I take extra long when getting dressed too. We are doing the same. We have created such bad habits as a family and it is time to undue. Ponytails…..❤️🤣 I know u have messaged me on ig, but name not the same. Remind me or message me.
Long response. Sorry! 🥴 "Mom are you still getting dressed?" 😂 I love it. I take forever to get dressed too! Something that I've been doing is while my 3 youngest are napping and my older 2 are having quite time, I started taking a bubble bath. I used to use that time to work on math and reading, and do house work (and we still do) but once or twice a week, that's my time. I get 2-3 hours to bathe, do my nails, read, ect. The house work is always going to be there.🤷🏾♀️ I had a hypertension episode early fall and I just can't live like that. I don't want to be a source of trama for my kiddos nor do I like being a "sick" mom. My hypertension is stress induced so finding time to relax was a must. I take P5P for energy. It's better than a cup of coffee. 😅 Plus I had to stop drinking coffee because it raises my blood pressure. You are doing a great job with your boys and I can tell they love you a lot! Try making a meal plan for the month. So that next year so you have to do is pull out last year's meal plan and repeat. 😅 Something else that I do is a double what I cook. That way we can have left overs. I cook every other day to give me a break with dinner. My kiddos make their own lunch and breakfast one day out of the week so I'm only cooking 3 lunch and breakfast 3 days out of the week and my hubby usually takes the weekends. Also, be specific about what you need and make a schedule for the boys. You can totally have them be chef for the day so that they have 3 days out of the week and you have 4...... Or hubby take day of that's his jam. I totally feel you about the wife thing. I don't have it all figured out but my hubby comes first. When he comes home, I stop what I'm doing and greet him with affection/his love language. He comes first over everything. If he comes home for lunch, we're fixing what he wants to eat and taking an extended lunch. 😉😉 I actually love my husband, enjoy spending time with him, and I'm just so thankful he provides for us so that I can be home to homeschool our kiddos. I'm gonna make time for him. You got this. I'm looking forward to an update on how your juggling it all. It's something we don't talk about in the homeschool community. You've inspired me to make a video about it myself. 🤗
Thanks for the response! I love how you are handling it all. I do need to monthly meal plan and double things. My iron deficiency was definitely effecting me more than I thought. The food is definitely me wanting to control it all and not letting them help when they can most definitely help. Everything you said is so on point.
Love this video Frances! Thank you for sharing your heart. I am learning how to love on me before the husband and kids and it is a journey for sure!
Awwww! Thanks Andrea!
