The shotgun plane (Bulldog) was actually my top choice in the CTF-like multiplayer modes. I think it was really only designed for multiplayer and they put it in campaign because they could.

This is a great video! Crimson Skies was the first Xbox Live game that I played and I loved it so much that I was one of the Top Aces in the game (#5, gamertag Chrisso). The Bulldog on Chicago was the way to go in multiplayer...when they announced backwards compatibility of the original Xbox games, I was stoked to pick it up again. I even plugged in my Xbox 360 to start practicing my routes again. Lo and behold, they didn't have multiplayer when the backwards compatibility was introduced and I was really bummed out.
Regardless, I still have fond memories of the community--the god awful laggy Dogfight games, the cocky Capture The Flag teams that actually thought they were better than Top Aces, and of course all the newbs that would get lucky enough to kill me after I stalled out from bumping into another plane. What an amazing game! The video captures the essence of it really well, so good job dude! Keep making these!

Not sure many players referred to players as top aces

@@chrissinclair8027 yeah I remember, just rarely heard people describe them as top aces. Usually just he’s top 10 or something like that
