That was super helpful...a great baseline to start. I just signed up for my first market and I am terrified but excited. I tend to want to make all the things but this advice definitely helps!
HI! YOU ARE EXACTLY THE PERSON IVE BEEN LOOKING FOR. I've been getting back into knitting, this time with the hopes of making a profit, and you are offering so much useful content!! Thank you for going through all the basucs of making and selling
You are so right about colors. My little girls mermaid and owl purses sell in bright colors. But can't make too many ivory, gray, or blush pink items. Especially boot cuffs and headbands.
Omg. ..I've been freaking out thinking I NEED 50 items for my first market in 2 weeks ... This is a great way to see what we really need .... No need to have 20 diff items or designs right ? Busy moms, we have little time to crochet ! Well ... Not as much as I would like :)
I love this system! I'm hoping to start doing markets again this fall/winter season and will definitely keep this front of mind. My previous markets have been...chaos haha. I would always just bring whatever I have made that I hadn't sold yet. That makes it sooo hard to create a visually pleasing set-up. Your channel and tips are always amazing! Thank you!!
These were great tips, especially about the colors to use. I have so much yarn and would have just chosen random colors. Hoping to get into my first craft fair next fall.
Love this video! You always have such a sweet vibe. For anyone reading this, the Ash & Tay Crochet group is everything Taylor says it is and more!!!! It amazing, supportive and helpful! Love these girls so much 🥰
I have a 5 day craft & hobby show in 5 wks. I WISH I would’ve seen this video BEFORE I placed a BIG yarn order. BUT, I did get quite a few neutral colors. I know this video was created quite some time ago, but still it’s very good advice. Thank you!!
Very helpful, especially on how to focus on building stock! That has been my biggest issue with the coming farmer's market season - having my focus too scattered on what to make.
Omg im so glad u r making new videos about markets!!! I loveeeee ur videos! I dont crochet but i follow some of your guidelines for market set up and all you talk about n it helped me so much on my first big market...u are so beautiful and i love love love all ur set ups...amazing!!!
Michigan girl here. Thanks for sharing all you wonderful tips. I crochet in the summer for fall shows . Love the neutral color pallet which I will be using this year.
Hi Taylor! Thanks for this video! I have always wanted to get into the crafting market scene, but haven't known where to start. I am also a Michigander. 😁 Grand Rapids, born and raised. Nice to see what you have going on here on RUclips. I am still pretty new to RUclips, but I have been having SO much fun reviewing yarn. Thanks too for your info on knitting machines. I have been wanting to get one to speed up the swatches I make for yarn wash test reviews, but haven't pulled the trigger yet. 😬 I appreciate all your info. Hope you are well!
Can you do a video on how you handle 2 and 3 day fairs? Like if you take down and setup each day, or do you leave setup overnight? How do you handle keeping anything from getting stolen if left overnight? Do you sleep in the tent overnight? There is a huge outdoor fair coming up in my area and it looks like they expect you to keep everything up for both days. It's $100 and on a huge outdoor fairground very rudemential setup, not sure if I will do it, I don't have any experience yet and portapotties scare me.
Ive done two 2-day events. Both times I left all my items at my booth overnight. I was lucky enough to be indoors for one and I was located in a barn for the second at a local fairgrounds. The people putting on this event paid to have a night time security guard walk the venue to protect our items, plus the grounds were fenced in. If there is no security, if you sides on your tent, I would just close them completely to cover your items. I hope that helps!
@@TaylorLynnCrochet it does help a lot!!! Thank you! this one is outdoors very small fence that is easy to get through. I have to ask if there will be security
Super helpful tips! Would you suggest still using bright or "trendy" colors for pinterest or product photos? They might not sell, but make it for yourself then use it as a prop?
Thank you Taylor! I wish I had this info for my first two and only markets! I took everything I had to both and a lot for the second one at a school and didn’t sell anything at that one! I’ll never do a school one again! Hardly any of the vendors sold anything. The “neutral” colors thing is a game changer! So isn’t PLUM/PURPLE considered a neutral?? Asking for a friend🤪 #ThatIsntMYBrandColorORisIt ? LOL! 🤎THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! 💟
I do! you can use fabric glue to secure the ends, and I also found weaving the ends into the middle of the stitches (not right at the elastic) tends to make for more secure ends!
Wow- I can’t thank you enough for taking so much guess work out of something that has perplexed me for years! Finally excited to book another event!
You are so welcome!

I’ve been doing markets for many years and finally figured out decluttering my tables was the best move I ever made!
Saw ur video, forgot to save it, just found it again, ty for this video
I just found this video on my feed and its SOOOOO informative and so detail that im GLAD i came across your video before my market event.
I absolutely love this formula! It's enough to make me consider doing markets again! 💝

Love the setup too

Yes I think that could really help on pinterest!
Everything depends oh whether it's to supplement an income, or your sole income. Many topics to consider.
Good job 👌👏👏❣️
Amazingly detailed and packed full of info. AWESOME!
I WANT MORE!!!!! lol

Do you strictly make velvet scrunchies? I seem to have trouble with the velvet yarn “worming” or stitches pulling loose ...hard to describe.
I do! you can use fabric glue to secure the ends, and I also found weaving the ends into the middle of the stitches (not right at the elastic) tends to make for more secure ends!
Just found u , ty for this video
Very useful! Thank you soooooo much!
What is the pattern you use for your infinity scarf ?
Lmao I feel ya girl I don't have a math brain either. 😁👍🏻. Great video as always Taylor!
Is the hair scrunchie pattern free?
The scrunchie pattern that I use and love from White Owl Crochet Co is a paid pattern
Thank you! I bought it 😊
❤️
where the hell was this vid after i made 90 beanies and 90 headwraps in 2 weeks
