I started fasting today. My wife and I have been separated since the end of October and she told me a few days ago she wants to stay where her and our 2 young boys have been staying (its 2 hours away and I see them once a week) for good and get a divorce. I’m praying that the Lord will still restore our marriage and touch my wife’s heart and soften it and bring our family back together for good

I’m starting fasting today. I’m scared about it, but I prayed on it this morning for my Heavenly Father to help my marriage. I gave my marriage up to Him because I feel like I just don’t know what to do anymore. I asked my Lord what I should do last night, I cried for him to give me a sign on what I should do, and I was driving around, then a man on the radio said that he fasted for his kids. God spoke to me through the man on the radio. Now, I’m doing the fast to let God into my marriage. Praise the Lord. Amen.

my husband left the house 2 months ago, he blocks me everywhere ,the only news that I got from him, was the email from the justice and her lawyer with the divorce case and the house expulsion, I was destroyed but I give this case to GOD,i believe in him I will restore my marriage because I love my husband unconditionally I still praying for him and fasting for this challenge and if GOD decide to let our marriage go away I will be sad but GOD always has a plan like in Jeremiah 29:11

Lord, whatever this person needs to help their marriage thrive and be blessed help them and their spouse if one is trying to save the marriage, help them stand strong and be obedient and put the full armor of God on each day to fight the spiritual battle that they’re in right right now. I’m presently in that battle myself and standing and praying and fasting and believing. God’s word is truth, claim the Scriptures and speak them in your marriage.

Would this even work if you’re not legally married to the person?
I share a kid with someone whom I truly believe is my husband and the one I’m supposed to raise a family with. We were both living for the world when we first got together and went through a lot. We recently both started our walk with Christ but unfortunately still battling with division. I believe we’re going through this bc of our sins and spiritual oppression. He doesn’t believe this though he thinks there’s “no redemption” for us.. I believe an answer to my question could help a ton..

Can I ask what prayers you were first asking for your husband that you realized later may be hindering? I’ve recently been feeling I need to stop praying for my husband.
I wanted God to change him. Stop him. Do things that were my ideas and not God’s will. Really I needed to surrender him and change my heart so I could see God’s will for me and our marriage.

Praise God, some very good insights here, so thanks for your testimony. I’ve been seperated ten years, no contact with my husband since 2017, we live in different parts of New Zealand. I am standing for my marriage despite it looking dead in the natural. I believe God will restore my marriage.

In 2007 I went into Teen Challenge. I graduated 13 months later! It was a tough program but THEE best decision I have ever made! Unfortunately all the TCs are not the same. Mine was a great program. WMTC. God is faithful!
