Absolutely wash and reuse the gallon bags. Unless they are way to greasy or messy. They will eventually start to tear, but we were always taught to be frugal and reuse. There was always a bag or two hanging on the faucet to dry. Love you guys.
You receive gifts from us because of the gifts you give to us. There is nothing on the earth that matches the gift of joy, and that is what you, and your parents, give to us. We find joy in your unboxings and that is the greatest gift of all.
Arkansas is the French spelling of a Native American word. That's why we don't pronounce the last "s". Arkansaw was an alternate spelling for a while, before statehood.
💙🇺🇲 Warm up the cheeses and use on your baked potatoes, drizzel over your nacho chips, smear on the inside of your taco shells, or drizzle over cooked vegetables, add to your sausage dogs, etc...😊
Refrigerate after opening those cheese sauces. I agree Carol that Recky shouldn'tt use his finger just for any bacteria that will now get in the food. Recky, it is not about that you both have shared germs for years it is about speeding up the expiration of the food.
Most of these candy treats were very popular in the 1960’s and 70’s and even til this day but some are hard to find now. The soda bottles you bite the top off and drink the flavor drink and when we were kids we would chew the plastic bottles like gum but not to swallow. Sugar daddy is a sucker not to bite but suck, Recky. Cheese dip you can put them on crackers, you can melt it on burgers, meats , whatever you like to put it on.
Watermelon Jolly Ranchers is the best flavor! Loved how Carol was like “cut” and run it again. Was very funny and cute. Got Recky good.😂 Don’t worry, that was candy and not soap. It is for eating. Green bean casserole and Broccoli casserole are really good.
I sauté cubed chicken breast, steam broccoli, and fix maybe 1-2 cups rice. Mix them together with whatever spices you want. Add some Cheez Whiz or Cheez Dip and mix. Put in a pan and bake in the oven to heat. You can add shredded cheese on top.
I rewash my bags. A little soap and water, stick it over a spatula in a drainer until dry. As to WHY you need 100 bags? You will find yourself using them for everything. It does not need to always be food.
I put my cat's dry food in the zip lock bags to keep it fresh. I also put the whole bag of chips in a zip lock once the chips are opened. Works great for keeping cereal fresh too.
As kids, we used to whack the Sugar Daddy on the sidewalk (or kitchen counter) before opening it in order to break it into pieces. I mentioned the sidewalk because we used to get them off the ice cream truck and couldn't wait the two minutes to get back in the house. 😀
Lumnah Acres is another good homesteading channel. They are in Maine so a cold climate, colder than Washington. I can’t watch your box openings without a snack. ❤❤
See.. it's things like the picture of the cats so I know which fur-baby is which. I asked for that last time and you delivered!!🎉 Carol and Recky, Y'all are good, decent, kind people 😢 Thanks for everything you do for me here in Indiana ❤
💙🇺🇲 The sound is barely perseptible so no worries even if you have to crank up the speed of the fan. (Hot flashes are the bane of females everywhere.) Maybe wrap a thin kitchen / hand towel around the neck part of the fan when relaxing/resting back on your chair, couch, or bed so the fan doesn't cut into your neck!? 😊
💙🇺🇲 Yea!! Can't wait to meet Carol's Mama! 😊 Carol, you just have to subtly work on your father because we would all like to meet him too.😊 Maybe tell us about some of his hobbys,...fishing, gardening, reading, motorbike riding, etc...also those things that give your mama enjoyment too.☺️
My father was known as the Candy Man at his church. Every Sunday he took 4 bags of Jolly Ranchers to church and gave them to the children and the children who had grown into adults while he was doing it. Each candy also came with a hug that was often the best gift.
Love that Carol's mom received a gift! Hope she will do a video. I understand that you dad doesn't want to be on social media, my parents would be the same way.
Yes, Carol, you CAN wash and re-use the zipper bags. It would be great to recycle and not put more plastic waste in the landfills. We Americans usually don’t, but you certainly could. Just be sure they are completely dry before you store them away.
You will love the bags! I lie them flat on a cookie sheet after filling and freeze. They attack nicely in your freezer space. I even freeze tomatoes and thaw in the winter for soups and pasta. They taste fresh!
I've been watching a lot of homesteading stuff myself because I want to live on a homestead as well my favorites are the fit farmer polyface farm Hollister homestead and I like homestead heart as well BTW.. it's wax so you chew it like gum and then spit it out
The jar cheese dip is great warm in a crock pot with cooked ground meat rotel diced tomatoes mixed together as a dip for nachos fries whatever can even have sliced jalapeños mixed into it
a few years ago my dad made me a contraption that would dry plastic bags, it is just dowels standing up from a base that easily dries the bags faster & thoroughly, i've seen decorative ones in catalogs over 20 years ago that the tops would be either apples or tulips
I love you both to pieces! Recky is the male version of me I swear lol Ya'll are amazing and I love love love these unboxing videos. you two are so sweet and deserve everything positive!
Yes, wash the bags and reuse if you can. You can put them over a water bottle to dry after washing. More cowbell...ha! Those candies are really old school. The bottles with liquid are made of wax and you can chew and eat them if you like. You either love or hate the Necco wafers. Most of those candies you can only find in nostalgic type candy stores. I use Cheez Whiz in a broccoli rice casserole. 10 oz. of cheese whiz, 1 package of thawed frozen broccoli, 2 cups of cooked minute rice, can of cream of mushroom soup, mix together and bake for 45 minutes at 350 degrees. I'm sure there are recipes on their website too. And that laughing toy is hysterical. I was laughing with it too!
Carol, there is recipes for "cream of soup" mixes. There was a mix I've made before, and I stored in the refrigerator until I needed it. It's the base for chicken, mushroom, asparagus, and celery cream soups. The flavor is up to you. This is a good homesteading/prepping type of recipe. Good luck😊
Carol you can find recipes on the internet to make cream of chicken soup from ingredients that should be there in your stores. There is also cream of mushroom and cream of broccoli and one of celery, the list goes on, we are so lucky that we can shortcut to the already made cans. I use a couple of these every week, we even have cheddar soup and potato soup already to eat but I just use them has a base for casseroles. You can also find recipes for dried mixes such has ranch and chili and gravy, it makes it so easy to make these and have them ready for when you need them, a good staple for your pantry. I love your videos and I pray for you both and your families. Smiles.
Carol, look up how to make cream of soups, and you'll find lots of recipes to make your own. Minute rice is convenient, but making rice is simple. Two cups of water per one cup of rice. Boil water and add salt to taste; add (rinsed) rice and a pat of butter or bit of oil. Stir well and put on a tight fitting lid and reduce the heat to simmer. Don't open the lid for at least 15 minutes. You can add time if you need to, stove heats vary.
Ziplock bags, can be reused over and over again, you can wipe them clean until they fall apart then throw them away. Those wax bottles with the liquid inside, you can bite the tip off and drink the liquid inside it, or chew the wax with the liquid inside but dont swallow the wax though.
It's a long 'A' as in way....Necco Wafer. They are a very old candy in the U. S. The Sugar Daddy is to be licked, not bitten off. Put it in the freezer and then wack it with a hammer and suck on the pieces. You drink the liquid out of the pop bottles and then chew the paraffin, like gum....don't swallow it. Warm the cheese and dip whatever you like in it....corn chips, veggies...make nachos.
I soak my bags for about 30 minutes in hot soapy water. Then scrub inside with a sponge , rinse well and hang on cups or glasses to drain till dry. I usually can reuse them about 10 times each doing that. Learned it from my grandmother who lived during the depression!
You two were in quite the mood. LOL Then with the giggling 'toy.' Needed a good laugh. Thanks. I wash and re-use all plastic bags, whether purchased or something sent when shipping items. (Unless damaged or unable to be cleaned.) I still use produce bags that are 15-20 yrs old. They still work! Jolly Ranchers are an all-time fave. They are sold both in bulk and very large bags (perhaps 3-5 lbs) depending on the retailer. 😊 Loved Necco Wafers growing up. Don't know if they are still the same. They had bit of a dusty coating and, once broken, a discernible but subtle flavor. (Been many decades.) SweetTarts...yum! What a fun unboxing. Enjoy those neck fans (could only hear them, just slightly, when you cranked up the speed).
I love all the old timey candies. I used to eat when I was a kid! The little bottles, you drink the liquid, you can chew or toss the wax. I was hoping Choward’s violet candy would also be there.
@@lindamacduff2566 My grandmother used to buy them for me when I was a little girl. (Im 67 now.) A lot of people don’t care for them because they taste so flowery, but I love them because they remind me of her. ❤️
That neck fan.. charges. then use them cordless. And its not loud at all. I have a few of these fans (I'm also a fan person, with fans on 24hrs.) The Sugar Daddy, smack it with something hard (while in the wrapper) and break it into pieces. Then it's like any other candy you Suck on. lol. The little bottles are made of wax, just means you can chew it if you feel like it.
Necco is candy from long long ago. YUCK! Some people like them. NOT ME! Only lick or suck on the sugar daddy. It will pull out your teeth! They make sugar babies that are small (about the size of a jellybean). They are much easier to eat. Warm the cheese dip! No cream of chicken soup? Add chicken bouillon to sour cream & you will get a similar result. Just be careful with extra salt. Just make sure you taste as you go! As always y'all are just precious!! Blessings from another Arkansas girl!
When I am low on funds I eat a lot of minute rice. Equal parts water/milk, a little butter or oil, salt/pepper, and in the microwave for 5 minutes. You can make a little food go a long way with rice.
Necco is one of my favorite candies, I grew up with a lot of those. Most are hard to find today ... cracker barrel is one of the few places that still carry them. Its acquired, when you are a kid you will eat almost anything, but once you do it as a kid it brings so many memories back as an adult you can overlook many flavors..lol Yes warm the cheese until it will pour.
the candy bottles are made of food grade wax you bite the top off to get to the liquid drink the liquid then chew on the leftover wax the necco wafers you either like or do not if the cheese dip/wiz is not liquid heat it up you can add salsa or chilly for dipping
💙🇺🇲 Yes, you can wash and "reuse" them but, they are not recommended for reuse if they had meat stored in them. Whether it's canned meat, fresh or cooked meat it's a hard No! We want you healthy and safe!!😅
Absolutely wash and reuse the gallon bags. Unless they are way to greasy or messy. They will eventually start to tear, but we were always taught to be frugal and reuse. There was always a bag or two hanging on the faucet to dry. Love you guys.
I reuse the quart bags too.
On reusing the bags. Depends on what you put in them the first time. Raw meat I would throw away. Anything with a lot of fat would not use again.
You receive gifts from us because of the gifts you give to us. There is nothing on the earth that matches the gift of joy, and that is what you, and your parents, give to us. We find joy in your unboxings and that is the greatest gift of all.
Recky reminds me of Dennis the Menace.
But a much worser version of Dennis.🤣🤣🤣
I have to agree with Rocky when it comes to Necco candies!! I wish we still had Black Cows here in the U.S..... My favorite growing up
Carol's reaction to the happy pill is AMAZING. 😂😂😂😂
That reaction is amazing!!!
Arkansas is the French spelling of a Native American word. That's why we don't pronounce the last "s". Arkansaw was an alternate spelling for a while, before statehood.

The Sugar Daddy suckers are all day suckers. They were called Slo-Pokes when I was a kid many many moons ago. My grandmother loved them.
Sugar Daddy will break your teeth. They do last forever!
Refrigerate after opening those cheese sauces. I agree Carol that Recky shouldn'tt use his finger just for any bacteria that will now get in the food.
Recky, it is not about that you both have shared germs for years it is about speeding up the expiration of the food.

Carol that color is lovely on you
You can substitute cream of mushroom soup if you don't have cream of chicken😂😂👍👍

Sout green apple Jolly Ranchers always reminds me of the summer of 1963 in San Pedro California. 😊
Recky is going to be sleeping, the cats are going to set off the happy pill and Recky is going to think there is something haunted coming after him😂😂😂
I had thinning hair and skin breakouts. I started taking a hair skin and nails vitamin. My hair is strong think and shiny.
My father was known as the Candy Man at his church. Every Sunday he took 4 bags of Jolly Ranchers to church and gave them to the children and the children who had grown into adults while he was doing it. Each candy also came with a hug that was often the best gift.

❤ from CALIFORNIA.
💙🇺🇲 The jolly hard candy favorites for me are: Green(apple), Red(cherry) and the other Red (hot cinnamon) is sold separately.😅😅😅
Those sugar daddy's fall into the catagory of all day suckers, and don't worry about not liking the Necco wafers hardly anyone does.
Except me! I love Neccos! Lol!
LOL Neco wafers... please don't worry you don't like those.. not many of us do :/
Those are all old time candy. Popular 60 years ago and more. 34:44
Put a jolly rancher in your water bottle
You two should have a comedy show. You are so funny to watch
Yes, Carol, you CAN wash and re-use the zipper bags. It would be great to recycle and not put more plastic waste in the landfills. We Americans usually don’t, but you certainly could. Just be sure they are completely dry before you store them away.
The neck fan dose not get picked up on camera
The cheese whiz is wonderful in broccoli rice casserole. It only works with cheese whiz actually
Heat the cheez wiz, mix it with cooked broccoli and then top a baked potato, yummy
You will love the bags! I lie them flat on a cookie sheet after filling and freeze. They attack nicely in your freezer space. I even freeze tomatoes and thaw in the winter for soups and pasta. They taste fresh!
👍Two thumps up for “Happy Pill” lol👍 I love the Styrofoam box of old. Nostalgia candy.
cheese wiz recipe= cheese whiz- broccoli -rice and one can of cream of mushroom soup = broccoli cheese casserole
Use the laughter as your intro instead of music. Who can help but smile when they hear that? It would make your videos even more addictive!
I've been watching a lot of homesteading stuff myself because I want to live on a homestead as well my favorites are the fit farmer polyface farm Hollister homestead and I like homestead heart as well

I agree, neccos are the worst candy, but
My Grandpa LOVED THEM!
a few years ago my dad made me a contraption that would dry plastic bags, it is just dowels standing up from a base that easily dries the bags faster & thoroughly, i've seen decorative ones in catalogs over 20 years ago that the tops would be either apples or tulips
Hello from New Mexico! This is a nice break from yard work!
I love you both to pieces! Recky is the male version of me I swear lol Ya'll are amazing and I love love love these unboxing videos. you two are so sweet and deserve everything positive!
Turn the bags inside out and wash/rinse them put them over over glass to drain
We also have easy 90 second rice pouches for the microwave and they come in various flavors and we have Oreo cow tails
Nacco wafers are a old school candy and some people like him some people don’t it’s just personal personal preference
Yes, wash the bags and reuse if you can. You can put them over a water bottle to dry after washing. More cowbell...ha! Those candies are really old school. I absolutely wash and reuse my bags unless it's something that is messy or I have had raw chicken in it
I look forward to your videos every day! My life is so chaotic and stressful right now. Each video gives me a few moments of happiness. Thank you!
Lol. You crack me up. The sweet tarts get you every time. Haha

I ate Necco wafers and most of those goodie when I was growing up. Like 60+ years ago. So good!!
The reason we have blue raspberry. Is because there were too many red flavors.
Use the cheese for chili cheese fries with sour cream and onion
Use cheese on plain nacho chips with seasoned beef and salsa
Carol, look up how to make cream of soups, and you'll find lots of recipes to make your own. Minute rice is convenient, but making rice is simple. Two cups of water per one cup of rice. You can mix the cheese sauce with a can of rotel or brown some sausage or ground beef and mix it with the cheese sauce. They make good chip dips
Great unboxing 👍👍 Really enjoyed it
Carol, amazing gift and wondering what else can we get for your parents?
They have some gifts im gonna bring them, they will be so happy ❤️
I wash my ziploc back in soap and a little bleach and rinse well and let dry😊
The orange and brown Neccos are my favorite.
Ziplock bags, can be reused over and over again, you can wipe them clean until they fall apart then throw them away. Those wax bottles with the liquid inside, you can bite the tip off and drink the liquid inside it, or chew the wax with the liquid inside but dont swallow the wax though.

Yes you can reuse the bags. Wash them and let them dry.
Newcomers Wafers have a love/hate relationship with people. Either you really like it or really hate it. I really love it myself!
I'm 55 and have lived ciwtails since I was a kid
I have a video somewhere of my oldest granddaughter laughing like that when she was a baby, one of my youngest granddaughter too. Ages 15 and 7.
Recky when the pill starts laughing on its own. Late at night. During a scary video.
Necco is America’s first candy product.
That neck fan.. charges. then use them cordless. And its not loud at all. I have a few of these fans (I'm also a fan person, with fans on 24hrs.) Sweet Tarts....one is Sweet and the other is Tart. So you ate the Tart green one the Redish-Pink will be sweet.
All the candies were when we were kids in the 1960s I loved the wax bottles and still love the Necho wafers
Red licorice ❤
You're going to look so cute with the hair bun. They're really popular here!

Yes warm the cheese until it will pour.
Five Below carries a lot of the old fashioned candies.
Thank you for your amazing channel and the light you bring
Yes, they can reuse if cleaned and dried six time if the bag did not have greasy foods!
Use the " cheese whiz" on nachos with salsa.
Carol don't worry about the fan noise, it's minimal
Fun for us as well!
the candy bottles are made of food grade wax
you bite the top off to get to the liquid
drink the liquid
then chew on the leftover wax
the necco wafers you either like or do not
if the cheese dip/wiz is not liquid heat it up
you can add salsa or chilly for dipping
as a kid we ate the bottle, it loses something when you’re not a kid anymore
💙🇺🇲 Yes, you can wash and "reuse" them but, they are not recommended for reuse if they had meat stored in them. Whether it's canned meat, fresh or cooked meat it's a hard No! We want you healthy and safe!!😅
They have sent a lot of old time candy. Don’t eat the wax candy. Just chew!
Love my neck fan.
Heat up the cheese and drizzle it over nachos
I was wondering how long before the kitty's came to check out that laughing.
