Thanks guys, Congratulations on a new baby. Your videos and guidance really helped me with my first hunting dog thru the puppy stage. Now I am bringing home another puppy to start all over again and will be using a lot of your techniques again. Keep up the great videos.

Getting my first bird dog… a wired haired pointer in June. Watching all of these videos pushed me to finally get one. Along with my 5 yr old son who’s already all about upland hunting are so pumped to get him. Get to finally live out my childhood dream just as a dad with my boy and dog.

You guys are really great. Please please make a video on how to potty train a puppy if some one is living in an apartment, without actually using pee pads and those stuff. Will be really grateful to you guys.

YAWA Huge fan from Michigan! I’ve watched all of your videos a year and a half in advanced of getting my first hunting retriever. I am building a pigeon coup next to my chicken coup. Like you said, you can’t have a bird dog without birds. My question is should I be worried about my retriever attacking my chickens? They roam around in the yard regularly. should I socialize my dog to the chickens at an early age and teach him pigeons and ducks are fair game but chickens are not or protect my chickens away from my dog and train my dog to hunt anything with wings? (to avoid confusion)

Hi Guys, I have a new puppy and keep him in the crate overnight. Do I crate him also during the day when I go to work? This seems like a lot of crate time. Thanks for the help!

So I have a question that concerns me from the socialization standpoint. Here in west Texas rattlesnakes can be an issue. When developing their skills off the leash in the tall grass and mesquite in unfamiliar surroundings is this just an accepted risk?

YAWA Question-My puppy hasn’t been eating very quickly because his breeder let him eat all times of day. He seems to just eat a little throughout the whole day. Is their anyway that we could change this while still making sure he eats enough or do you not see this as a problem?

When would you introduce an e-collar? I just adopted a 5 month old GSP. She is kennel/crate trained and house broken, other than that she doesn't have any skills.

I know in the sprig and the clutch series they were 12 weeks old if I remember correctly. Those are just the ones I've watched lately. But they do say start using the collar on something they already understand.

When she has an understanding of the task you're asking of her. Start with positive reinforcement, transition in to delayed reinforcement to confirm she knows what you're asking. After that, the e-collar can be introduced for negative reinforcement slowly building up levels when needed as distractions are increased.
