Antigone is an exciting and dramatic play and is the 3rd play in the Oedipus Rex series. Even though Oedipus is dead, his curse is still destroying his remaining family. When the play opens 2 of his nephews have just died in a battle against each other. This sets Antigone up for the dilemma she faces throughout the play: how far should she go for her deceased brother?

Almost got everything but your missing some key parts. For example Creon buried polynices first then he went on to free Antigone then he discovered Antigone’s hanging body, and Haemon is seen weeping next to her, Haemon attacks creon then misses then he takes his own life. Also Eurydice cursed creon’s life for the gods to ran their wraith on him during her suicide. (This is all during exodus everything else is fine)

There's a few inaccuracies in this. EG Antigone does NOT ask Ismene to keep it the burial plan a secret! When Ismene offers to, Antigone is angered by this - the seeds are sown of her intention to go down as a martyr and to expose Creon's arrogance and irreverence to the gods, not to be silent grave digger!

Why are you saying Ismeney?? There’s no “ee” at the end. And it’s Eteocles on Eteclees. Pronounce the o. And it’s Polynices like Poly nice knees. Not Polyneses.

True, the pronunciation is unlike the Greek or the traditional English versions. You can watch this play on You Tube; plays are really better watched than read. I have my college students watch it before we discuss it.

The chorus represents the city of the thebes(in this play choruses are present in many other plays) and basically show us how the people slowly begin to doubt creon
