imo this and Dark Interval are the most promising. RTB:R just seems way too off for some reason. Not mentioning the fact that it lacks a LOT of Beta enemies.
This mod really looks like a dream, you look like the same fan who sees all the mods that have not reached release and where there are a lot of mistakes, and you take them into account and modify, but most importantly, there is no superfluous, everything is perfect.

I like to note people for understanding of what setting in this mod like 2001 or 2002 This mod most likely aims 2003-2007 *Notice the Shaders and stuff like that* and remember that Milkway will release this mod but only Coast and Nova Prospekt chapters Infact notice the textures on Nova Prospekt and especially coast, including NPCs and Weapons. So this mod mostly aims 2003-2007
The houses in New Little Odessa could be turned in destructible? To make the fight more interesting, if Freeman try hide inside one the Gunship blow up it with his belly cannon.
A strange suggestion, but what about replacing color of electric discharges on rollermine, for example, with orange? It just looks less natural with blue, and the color scheme does not fit well.
Looking amazing so far! I especially liked that you added an extension to the exploding gas-station with more fire and combine :). I am also interested in as to why you replaced the crossbow with the IRifle, I welcome the change, but what is the motive behind it?
Thank you! I really wanted to find a use for the irifle since it was kinda useless in the beta, and at the same time I was kinda tired of the crossbow. It made sense to buff the irifle a little bit and give it a similar role to the crossbow since they were both projectile based and 1 hit kills on most things. I'll probably bring back the crossbow in the future but more like its concept art in raising the bar.
i hope that the gauss gun will be used as a weapon after the coast chapter so its not as much of a disappointment any way this my be my first single player source mod

Are you going to make something like hl2 beta aesthetics? Or it will be recreation of hl2 beta of 2003? Or 2001-2002 version? I can't completely understand it from your videos and articles
@@coterminus2646 Maybe add fauna similar to grass or vines that grow in or around the clumps of clusters, some props/junk should also be enveloped or stuck in the fauna. The fauna should also grow up walls.
I have considered this too but for now I'm just using their different skins as different versions of the soldiers. For example, the regular skin is for generic soldiers, the 2002 one I modified a little and made it the prison guard skin, then I made a waseland soldier skin, and I replaced the elite model and skin with the camo soldier.
What i am curious about is will all the levels just be Retail with new added items, enemies, sequences and so on or are New levels planned like Air Ex?

The progress on the mod looks great so far! But I think the xen fauna needs more work, It just doesn't feel natural.

My sugesstion for the combine soldiers would be to do what you did with the antions. Options to use the 2003 skin,the 2002 skin,or a mix of both
